Why bother, try something else! (Maybelline XXL Volume & Length Microfiber Mascara)

Advantages: None

Disadvantages: Time consuming, tricky to apply, mediocre results.

When this product first came out I was so excited!
I begged my mum for some for Christmas and when I got it it was my favourite thing I got never mind anything else!
It was the first of its kind and the advert on the TV was brilliant and promised amazingly long eye lashes!

However...

The packaging is well, shall we say boring?
I have a beautiful make up bag crammed full of good stuff and this looks cheap and nasty.
Sorry to be nit picking on the packaging but I like my stuff to look great and this is a little tacky! Black at one end and white at the other with two brushes.
Its a fiddly thing to use and I'm a beauty therapist!
The white goes on ok to the longest eye lashes you have which is usually the middle section but on my outer eyelashes cos they smaller and taper in this stuff made them stick out all over the place and they looked like broken spiders legs!
The black over the top goes on thick and i found it made my eyelashes look fuller but no longer and the more i applied just didn't help.
Its very tricky to apply and there's no room for error, if you don't take the black to the rim you can end up looking like a star trek extra with white peeping through!

If your willing to take time using this product you'll get decent enough result but as times gone on so has the market for mascara's and there are many of this kind of product about and products which don't use this 2 step mascara idea but promise all the results this does.

I just can't be bothered to go to all this effort when there's so many others around now that in my view are much better and easier to use IE max-factor masterpiece and its around the same price or a little more.
I certainly wouldn't recommend this product and certainly wouldn't advise an older person or client to wear it.
