A handy little make up tool that makes concealing on the go a doddle!

I love concealers - I think they are the secret of the most beautiful people and make up artist's biggest trick! There are so many to choose from and so many attributes to take into account - what brand (is higher end really better?), what formation - liquid, pan stick, mousse or pen. But more importantly how am I going to keep it in place during the day? I don't know about you but I detest putting my face powder under my eyes as it causes so many unwanted dry patches and accentuates lines - even though I'm only 18! What if I told you that you could have your cake and eat it - or have your concealer and set it all in one nifty, neat and concise package? Well look no further!

MeMeMe must have heard my plea as they have designed one of the most helpful, simple and beneficial make up products of all time - a concealer kit! I noticed the little pot of goodness in my local Superdrug and at first thought it was an eyeshadow until I read the name - Correct and Perfect Concealer Kit. The packaging is very simplistic but also very stylish which makes you proud to include it in your bag with a round, dense black plastic pot with a see through glass bottom and a creamy beige top displaying the name and the aim. At first I thought it was just a concealer and didn't pay attention to the 'kit' bit until I got home and opened it, to which I was pleasantly surprised at the contents!

Once you open up the lid - just by lifting up the clasp like a compact - the first thing you notice is a mirror, something I absolutely love as it means you can take it on the go without having to bring extra mirrors, plus if you happen to forget your usual mirror you know you have one spare without even thinking about it! Under the mirror you find the concealer which is surrounded by sturdy black plastic and presented in a circle - so it won't break up or splatter if dropped. If like me you aren't very observant you may think that is it - but its not! If you unscrew the see through glass bit at the bottom - just like a little secret compartment - you realise that there is a small loose powder section complete with the little sieve like holes so that not much product comes out. I was so excited to try this as I have never used or seen anything like it.

There are only 3 shades to choose from which I think is a bit of a disadvantage - it would be nice to have something for everyone but hopefully they will get around to releasing some more soon. The current available ones are:

Buff - This is the lightest shade of the range and would suit any fair complextions and even some medium skin tones as with concealer it's a little different to foundation - you may want it to be a little bit lighter to conceal under you eyes so that they look more brighter, lighten and more awake. However if you are going to use this to cover acne then make sure it blends with your skin and foundation perfectly because you don't want to accentuate and highlight them anymore.

Nude - A medium shade with a lot of yellow and golden undertones that would suit anyone with medium to dark complexions as it gives a gorgeous glow and blends in perfectly.

Taupe - This is the darkest shade of the range however I feel MeMeMe could do with making one more shade that is slightly darker as I would say this shade is a dark medium and more of a golden bronze shade so it will not suit everyone, although it is a beautiful shade and would look lovely in the summer.

I chose the shade Buff and found that it blends really well with my skin tone and foundation. If you are not sure which shade to choose then I would advise popping down to Superdrug and testing before you buy so you don't waste money. To apply I like to put on my foundation and blend that it, then using a concealer brush (or fingers) I dab a few dots under my eyes and buff in with the brush. I usually only need about out coat, however you can build it up if you need to. This also works great for concealing acne or scars as it is quite a thick formulation.

It feels like a balm of some sort if you swirl your finger around it in the pan however one you begin to apply it takes on a more creamy and light texture. It blends really well and doesn't sit in the creases or dry patches which I really love! Once I have applied it, I then take out the powder from the bottom of the pot and tap out a tiny bit onto the lid - I love the fact it has the small little holes at the top like a sieve or a pepper pot because it ensures you don't use to much product and minimises wastage. Using a fluffy brush or an eyeshadow brush I sweep the loose powder over where I have concealed and Pat it in with my fingers. I absolutely love how it makes my eyes look - much more awake and refreshed, plus it stays put for hours with the help of the powder.

I can't recommend this enough and I'm not the only one that loves it as it was voted a Best Seller on the MeMeMe website as well as being featured in OK Magazine and being a Beauty Bloggers favourite. Retailing at £6.99 you can purchase from Superdrug or Superdrugs online as well as the MeMeMe website and other online stores. This kit really has benefitted my skin and eyes as well as being in a handy little compact that fits in your bag or even your pocket!
