“ Brand: MeMeMe / Type: Mascara / Suitable for: Eye „
I was first attracted to this product through the packaging, which is a Cheetah/Leopard print pattern. The second thing that attracted me too it was the fact is was on promotion for 4.99. And the third thing which attracted me to it was that the promise that it gave eyeslashes a false eyelash effect. I am always looking for a mascara which can imitate a false eyelash effect as false eyelash glue erodes away your eyelashes over time, which is obviously not too great. I have yet to find a mascara which promises this and actually works for me.
When not on offer, this mascara retails at £7.99 and can only be purchased from Superdrug. This is a couple of pounds more expensive than make up brands such as Rimmel and Maybelline, and their mascaras do much more for less money! I tried for atleast 10 minutes to work with this mascara to achieve the false eyelash effect and after many coats (and clumpy looking eyelashes) I gave up and removed it all.
A positive for this product is that it does not state it is a waterproof mascara, yet when I was caught in a rain shower, it did not run at all.
It also has a brush which is made from natural bristles opposed to the plastic wands which many other manufacturers use.
It does say that it is a volumising mascara, but I have tried clear mascaras which gave my eyelashes more volume! This may be one of the mascaras which works best with a white fibre lash builder to achieve the desired effect ( I have yet to try this, and will update the review once I have) but reguardless, it is somewhat of a false description.
I have very sensitive eyes (as you may of gathered from reading my other reviews) and i found that this made my eyes itch slightly. After speaking to some other people about this mascara, they said that it also caused them some irritation and itching, which isnt a great sign!
I wouldnt recomend this product unless you like false eyelashes clumped together and there are many cheaper mascaras do the job much better!
