Advantages: Lasting colour, double purpose, cheap

Disadvantages: Can be fiddly to apply, too dark for me

This is a cheek and lip stain, immitating Benefit's 'Benetint', from Superdrug's MeMeMe range. It costs £4.99.

Using this product on my lips, I try not to use a lot as the colour is quite dark for me. It is quite tricky to apply - the brush is just like a nail varnish brush, so you have to have quite a steady hand, and to make matters worse it tickles a bit. It's a good strong colour, and it stays on for absolutely ages. There is a scent to it which sticks around, it's not too overpowering though, and it smells like roses.

I've tried this product on my cheeks but I don't really like it. For starters, I don't really like wearing blush anyway, although I could do with a bit of colour, I always wind up looking like a clown. This colour was far too dark for my pale complexion. I did find it relatively easy to apply though. Just a few dots on your cheeks, and then immediately blend in before it gets chance to dry. I wish MeMeMe did this in a lighter pink, like Benefit's Posie Tint. I'd definitely give it another go on my cheeks then.

Summary: An excellent substitute
