      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Great for those wanting to try these multi-coloured bronzers without paying too high a price

      MeMeMe's Shimmer Stack is a not exactly a dupe of Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick but I'm sure they must've been inspired by it as the packaging is similar in shape, size and colour. Its useful in that it has 5 different colours in one which can be used separately for eyes or together as a bronzer/blush.

      Colours & Shades
      ============
      MeMeMe only has three colours to choose from.
      Bronze - which consists of some warm browns, slightly copper shades
      Gold - which consists of neutral earthy colours of brown
      Pink - which consists of a variety of pinky and coral colours

      Quality & Use
      ============
      First impression is that the packaging is quite well made and sturdy. Some people might think its quite chunky as a compact blush/bronzer but it does have a built in mirror which comes handy.
      The case is of a matte black with a pretty MeMeMe logo emblazoned on it. It doesn't look like cheap packaging.

      The texture of the powders are quite fine and you've got to be careful when using a brush. Swirling too much with a heavy hand can result in a LOT of powder being picked up and wasted! There is a slight shimmer to the powders but not overly so that makes you look like a disco ball. It doesn't agitate my skin or cause any breakouts either which is good!

      Works decently as eyeshadows too provided you have a good eye shadow primer as base to begin with. Love multitask products!

      Ingredients
      ============
      Talc, Mica, Magnesium Stearate, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl, Palmitate, Polybutene, Synthetic Wax, Mineral Oil, Methylparaben, Propylparaben

      Price
      ============
      £9.99 I think is a decent price for this shimmer stack because although it is a drugstore product, MeMeMe has made the effort in packaging and quality on this particular item. You get 5 colours and you can use it as bronzer AND eyeshadow. Plus, sometimes they do promotions where you can get it for cheaper too.

      Overall Opinion
      ============
      I'd recommend this if you are interested in trying these kind of bronzers/blushers that consist of different colours which you combine and use together without having to pay a high price tag. If you have always wanted to try Bobbi Brown's shimmer bricks but never wanted to pay so much for a bronzer then get this! Yes, the choice of colours aren't as varied as Bobbi Brown nor is the overall quality but its a good base to start from!

      A really good value dual purpose product.

      MeMeMe Shimmer Stack
      ----------------------------

      MeMeMe Cosmetics is an affordable brand of cosmetics sold in Superdrug and also online from their website at www.mememecosmetics.co.uk. In recent months I think that Superdrug has really improved their cosmetic ranges. Certainly in our local store in Chelmsford, following a recent shop floor upgrade, there are now many new lines of affordable but most importantly really good quality products.

      I first became aware of the MeMeMe Shimmer Stack just browsing one day in the early summer, and I noticed that it claimed to be both an eye shadow palette and a highlighter. I really love products that have a dual purpose as I travel a lot, and like to be able to put together a simple make-up bag quickly. The product is available in three choices, gold, bronze and pink and as it was summer when I purchased this I chose the gold. This is the one in the Dooyoo photo.

      The price of this at the moment is £8.49 which is superb value for money. Inside the square black case is a solid block of five colours that lie next to each other in lines. There is also a good size mirror on the lid as well. There are no application tools with this product so you will need to use your own brushes. The shades in the gold palette range from a beautiful vanilla highlighter, through to neutral browns and taupe, and a shade with a pink undertone. Being highly pigmented these work beautifully as eye shadows, and due to their subtle shades it is possible to create a lovely natural effect really easily and quickly. I have tried several combinations of colours on the lid and in the crease, always using the highlighting vanilla shade on the brow. These blend so easily together and you can create a lovely washed sunset look which looks really flattering if you have blue eyes.

      The beauty of this product is in its versatility. To create a lovely summer look you simply sweep a large brush over the entire palette and use this to highlight cheek bones. This looks really pretty, and the look is long lasting and due to the slight sparkle in the product it catches the light beautifully. The website explains that you need to use it sparingly to achieve a natural look, as you are trying to re-create an image of skin that has been naturally sun kissed. I have found this product easy to work with, and there is no danger that you will look overdone or orange. It can be built up if you wish to deepen the look, but I have never had to remove any as it imparts a subtle finish with just a couple of sweeps of the brush across the palette.

      Furthermore you don't have to worry that you will have an all over glitter look which certainly for a lady of my age (51) would not be flattering. This is not going to impart a cheap overdone effect but rather a natural healthy glow. I really love using it now that the last rays of summer sun have finally gone - it is a cheer up for Autumn!

      One important attribute that these colours have is that they last a long time. I have been using them since the early summer and there is still plenty remaining. I even took mine out to The Maldives on holiday and they performed very well indeed in extreme heat and humidity.

      Many reviews of this product that I have seen online say that they are a dupe for the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks. I can't comment on this because I have never tried these. However I can believe it as I have been very happy using a Superdrug blush recently made by a company called Sleek, which is identical in performance and colour to a product made by Nars, a higher end cosmetic brand. In these economically challenging times I think it is lovely to discover really good products that are good value, as not everyone can afford to spend money on higher end brands for any or all of their purchases.

      Final Thoughts
      ------------------

      I can highly recommend this product, it imparts a healthy glow when applied as a highlighter, and it also offers some gorgeous summery shades for eye shadows. It is also a very attractive price and has a long lasting quality both on the skin and in the palette, so you can be confident of achieving a lovely look which is also very good value.
