“ Brand: Miss G / Type: False eyelashes - Set of 3 / Suitable for: Eye „
On the run up to Christmas I was very much on the look out for glittery and unusual fake eyelashes. I don't very often bother with fake ones but I knew I was off out and about on my travels and so when I spotted these, pack of 3 fun party style ones costing only £1.99 in Wilkinsons I simply couldn't resist them!
The three sets of eyelashes come in a black and pink box with a leopard print design on it and three see-through plastic windows of which you can see each set of eyelashes through. On the top right hand corner of the box we are told that they are Miss G Eyelashes and on the back of the box we are told how to apply and remove them and the ingredients used in the adhesive are given (which is already on the eyelashes) and contact details for the manufacturer are given. Each set of eyelashes is on one huge tray and all you have to do is pull each pair off and apply them to the eyes as seen on the tray (there are left and rights of course).
Each set have a name written under them on the outside of the box and those names are Pretty Panther Lashes, Luscious Leopard Lashes and Cheeky Cheetah Lashes. Nice and cute names but really they don't describe the eyelashes at all which is odd lol!
Pretty Panther Lashes:
This set is black lashes which are thick and long with lots of sections of metallic silver ones running through that look to me like tinsel basically and are very party looking. With all the lashes you are simply meant to press them on the eyes with no added glue as they come with none. They are fluttery and rather unusual these ones and are statement making eyelashes without a doubt. I like the length and thickness of these alot and the way that to the outer of the eye they appear slightly thicker.
Luscious Leopard Lashes:
These eyelashes are far more subtle than the other two sets of lashes in the pack. What you get are a mixture of short and long black lashes, there are plenty of spaces between the lashes but some very thick sections and on each eyelash there are 5 small, round, clear and sparkly diamantes. Again you are meant to press these on and wear them with no fuss at all. These are actually rather nice and look classy enough on. No need for mascara, like there isn't with any of them these are again a good long length.
Luscious Leopard Lashes:
These are again a pair of black, thick and long lashes. These taper thickly to the ends and go smaller to the inner eye which is where gold strands are placed, thickly, again like tinsel. There is a gold and black section which only goes 1/4 of the way across the eyelash so they are very fluttery and unusual.
Although the eyelashes themselves are well made and robust enough to play around with sadly the self adhesive glue on them is rubbish. Not much is on each lash at all and both the panther and the leopard lashes are quite heavy and sadly the glue doesn't hold them on very well at all and when I was wearing them I found myself concerned about them staying put and when I got hot they just peeled off wrecking my art work of eyeshadow! You can of course get round this by using a dab of your own eyelash glue which is what I took to using in the end and in that case I found them fine to apply and to gently pull off and remove, however if you don't like heavy fake eyelashes the panthers and the leopards won't really be you!
A nice buy, worthy of the money just have your own glue on standby!
I have only seen these in Wilkinsons but do google the brand if interested!
