To be honest i didn't actually buy this but a friend of mine had left her 'Miss sporty eye gloss' in my make-up bag by mistake so i thought oh what the heck, might as well try it out and see if its any good. So i placed it on the far side of my brows and thought, hmmm looks quite decent. Compared to other branded eye gloss such as Loreal, Rimmel and others, Miss Sporty would NOT be my first choice as even though when first put on it looked alright, after a while you could hardly see it as it deftly blends into your skin, almost as if it had grown a shy personality and was afraid of all the eyes watching it, i should think or is that just me? No, thats just me then. Ok. so...after a few tries i decided to give it back to my friend, who binned it straight after and began primly padding on some posh primer that she had recently bought from Boots (i think she was quite rich, not sure though- either that or she robbed a bank! I'd probably go with the latter). Anyways, if you're not a heavy-duty make-up type of girl but still want to wear some make-up which could help complement your looks, then Miss Sporty eye gloss will help you accomplish this mission but if you love your make-up to bits and are the 'Do myself up from head to chin every single morning' type of gal, then i would steer clear if i was you and look around the famous brands section and look for a primer or some eye gloss there.
I'm not a huge fan of the Miss Sporty make-up range now, but I was a few years ago but that was when I was in my early teens. But when I was in my teens I always had chances to experiment their make-up. I wanted an eye shadow, but instead of buying one of those powder eye shadow, I want to be a little different when it comes to eye make-up so I looked in the range and came across this eye gloss, it was weird but it may actually work, when I dipped my finger in it was more like a lip gloss than an eye shadow and it was quite sticky too, which was great for my finger tips. As well there wasn't a huge range of colors they only had basic ones such as gold, brown and nude which is only good if you want a natural look. However this is very cheap and will cost you no more than two pounds and it is only sold in Superdrug in the Miss Sporty range, so it is OK if you are a teenager or if you're on a budget for make-up. Overall, I wouldn't buy this product again, and it is to messy as well. So I'm sadly going to have give this product a low rating
For something so inexpensive, Miss Sporty Eye Gloss is remarkably good quality; it should be because Coty are the name behind the brand. I paid £1.89 for mine in Superdrug; I haven't seen them anywhere else, though. I have the Miss Sporty Eye Gloss in a lovely lavender colour which, on the advice of a make-up artist, is one shade that suits all eye colours. It really seems to suit everyone and makes you look as if you've had a brilliant night's sleep. The eye gloss comes in a very tiny compact but the colour goes on smoothly and lasts well and you do not have to keep re-appying except in very hot weather. It doesn't come with an applicator so you put it on with a finger as you would any other type of eyeshadow or colour; of course, should you prefer, you can use a brush instead. The results are the same but the brush is less messy. All the products in the Miss Sporty range are excellent value for money; I think they are probably designed with the younger teenager in mind but I have used several items including the nail varnishes and their latest foundation and found them equally as good. If you are looking for an inexpensive eye colour and like experimenting but do not like wasting money, Miss Sporty Eye Gloss is great value.
I love this range of products by miss sporty supplied my superdrug. I frist saw the eye gloss that was my friends so i thought i would try it out. I got to superdrug and was surprissed to see such a resonable price. I bought a lilac coulor called lavender which is great. It was around £1.50 for a small pot but lasts for ages. As i said before it is a diddy pot and is quite hard to apply as it has no aplicator so i had to use my fingers. The great thing about gloss is that it gives a lovely shimmery look without it looking greasy, and last almost all day.(great to throw in your bag) The bad things i found about this produc, which i find with most glosses is that is creases but i managed to overcome that by adding a light layer of plain eye shadow under the gloss and it stays in its place. There is a good range of colour which are all shimmery and well priced. I love this product, it was a top buy.
Are we all using the same product here!!??? i bought this and was not really very impressed at all! On a cold, wet saturday morning i trundled off to the shops to buy myself some pick me up goodies. I saw this eye gloss in the blueish shade and thought "why not?" I love the look some people get where there eyelids look creamy and glossy...this was the look i was tryin to aim for with the eye gloss rather than using vaseline and eyeshadow (which does work surprisingly well) But i really kinda wish i hadnt bothered. The miss sporty products are cheap so the packaging wasnt really something i was concerned about but i did find that the lid has a tendency to come off in my make up bag leaving all the other stuff covered in this "creamy stuff" I applied the gloss to my eyelids and was quite impressed with it to start with..i have blue eyes so the blueish shade really brought them out and made my eyes look fresh. But throughout the night i became very unhappy with this product as it seemed to crease on my eyelids making them look streaky and just generally not very nice. All the gloss seemed to gather in the creases of my eyelids which didnt look very good so i ended up wiping it off during the night. I thought maybe coz i was in a hot bar the eyegloss hadnt taken to well but then i wore it the next day when i wasnt goin out just to test it but after a few hours it did the same thing. I do appreciate at under 3 quid this product isnt goin to be of the highest quality but i did expect it to at least look good and work as it says it should. I have bought another miss sporty product since hopin it would be good but i was very disappointed with that too...i dont think il be purchasing from this range again. Although i wasnt impressed with this product i found another use for it which i like. I find that if you dab a tiny little bit at the corner of your eyes it opens them up and looks shiny making your eyes look fres h. Also if you get a thin brush(ie a lip brush) and take a small amont of the gloss on the brush then run the brush under your bottom lashes then blend with your finger this also opens up your eyes well kinda as a eyeliner type thing. I do like the product for these reasons but it wasnt why i bought it so it leaves me disappointed. If you are buyin it hoping for the glam glossy eyed look....dont bother.
Well there are many opinions on here about Miss Sporty eye gloss which is kinda cool because I never even realised that many people used this range. You could be forgiven for thinking this is one of those make up ranges for little kids with their saved pocket money when actually - It's top value for adults! I first bought my eye gloss last year when the range came out. Everything was just 99p and for an eye gloss (which is also the latest thing) I couldn't really lose. At the time there were just 3 colours to choose from and i have a job to get them because they sold out so quick. These were Lavender - purple, timeless - blue, sunset - gold each a sparkly modern colour. I chose blue because i thought it might bring out the colour of my eyes :) The packaging makes it all look a bit cheap but it's funny because once i got them home and stuck them in the good ol' jumble sale (my make up bag!) they looked completely at home. Before you say it, no, it's not because im such a cheap skate that my makeup bag looks like a pound store shelf. I think it must have been the way the range was laid out in store. Superdrug sell the Miss Sporty range which you can find in the cosmetic section. It is actually manufactured by COTY which is a pirdy decent make up company. Looking at the price list i found that nothing was over £2 which was really cool because they sold lip glosses and eye shadow duos too which usually cost a fortune. The product slided on my eyes lovely and really did feel like a nice eye shadow cream rather than a sticky gloss. I could barely feel it was there and there was none of the sticky eye lid situation. What I did notice was that a line formed on my eyelid from the crease. I now remember to apply the eye gloss and then open my eyes fully to get the crease, and rub it with my finger. This evens it out a bit so the crease doesn't reappear later on. However, I must admit that this is not a fault with the product but rather with my fat eyelids :) cos every eye gloss does this! The colour was really rich and sparkly. I only used a little and it make my eyelids shimmer like a skin highlighter. The colour lasted throughout the day and was still as fresh at the end as it was when i applied it in the morning. Another good thing about this is you know when you put mascara on and you get those little black things on your eyelids where u went a bit mad?? (or is this just me again?!?) Well if you just rub the gloss a bit it kinda dissolves and hides it saving you having to have a fit and reapply the eyes :) Since then, I have bought all three colours because they are so lovely. Even though i still have loads left, when i recentely popped into superdrugs they were on special again (GET THERE NOW!!!) so i had a look and hey - there were NEW colours! I chose a lovely pink called Romance. It was number 15 so im guessing there are at least another 11 colours im missing :) The pots look so small but don't be fooled because they last a hell of a long time. Like i said before, the colour goes on rich so you dont have to put a lot on and it lasts a long time so there is no need to reapply. At normal price this eye gloss is £1.29 which is still an absolute bargain. I'm off to go and buy the light silvery one now cos it's a bargain and i love silver :) Keep smearing those eyes with lovely goo and i'll keep searching for the bargains! Take care Eye poppers (?!) Mel xx TOP TIP: I mentioned before that i chose blue to bring out my blue eyes, well how stupid was i! I recentely found out that to make the most of what you got, use the opposite colour. Like so: Blue eyes: Pink, Gold, Peach Brown eyes: Blue, Green, Silver Green eyes: Gold, yellow, white If you have any other colours then that well tough :)
After reading a couple of positive opinions about this product, I decided to go and try it myself. Miss Sporty is really great brand of make up, its reasonable in price and excellent in quality, as for durabilty, thats great too. The eye gloss was on offer at only £1.05 or something like that but at its normal price, it's around £1.50 which is still a brilliant bargain. The great thing about the Miss Sporty range is that everything is under £2! ~ You may think I'm a cheap skate but the products are really good. The tub it comes in is rather small, very diddy and cute looking. I bought the light purple/lilac shade of gloss, I tried it on in Superdrug ( Miss Sporty is a Superdrug own range ) The colour is number 16 and is called Lavender. From what I saw in Superdrug, there wasn't much of a selection of colours and shades but the few that were available looked really nice, as well as my Lavender one, I saw a goldish one and a blue one too. The whole Miss Sporty range is manufactued by COTY, you may recognise the name as they also manufacture Mabylinne products! This lip gloss is available for all skin types and I doubt anyone could be allergic to it! As I mentioned before the gloss came in a diddy tub, so you have probably guessed that an applicator is not supplied. This is not that bad but a little annoying because you then have to use your fingers or a seperate applicator. I find the applicating quite hard with my fingers so I recommend a brush, the durability however is rather better, the gloss lasts quite a while without re-applying it, however and I find this with many glosses the gloss creases into your skin on your eyes and looks rather silly after a while! Overall this eye gloss is pretty good, it lasts and looks pretty cool and is really cheap! However I still prefer eye shadow to gloss so maybe next I'll try the Miss Sporty eyeshadow selection! Thanks for reading and I hope I' ve helped you all! Cheers ~M~
Miss Sporty Eye Gloss... I agree with Pippin2000, this product by Miss Sporty (superdrug), manufactured by COTY is good value for what it is. Also money-wise it's excellent (£1.29)! There's not alot of choice, only 3 colours, Lavender - purple, timeless - blue, sunset - gold, but they're sure worth it you only need a little bit which lasts the whole day and it shows up on your skin clearly, so you won't need to be popping to the 'ladie's room' all the time to replace it! It also is fine with sensitive skin as i know, by having sensitive skin. Miss Sporty range also does lots of other make-up products. I definitly recommend this product!
By now you all must know I am a fan of this brand of make-up, however, this has to be my favourite product of them all. There are 3 colours to chose from, sunset(Gold), Timeless (blue) and Lavender (purple). These are the only shades that are on display at our loacal superdrug, although once I saw some different colours in a temporary 'Miss Sporty' make-up stand. The numbers on the bottom of the pots are 4(Sunset), 14 (Timeless) and 16 (Lavender), so this indicates there are other shades, but I don't know where you can get them from... It sounds like there isn't much choice, which is true, but I own all three and they are gorgeous. They come out really glossy and stay on all day/night. You only need a little bit, so they will most probably last ages, mine have. Currently they are on offer, at £1.05, but at normal price they are £1.29, still very cheap. They are cheap but they are also good quality, manufactured by COTY (who manufacture mabylinne products). They should be suitable for all skin types, the ingredients listings are available in the shop though. It's a shame that it they don't come with an applicator, it doesn't matter to much. The pots are the as the ones their eyeshadows are in, clear lid, dark blue base. They're small and compact, but contain a lot of the product. I think this product is great value for money and a great buy.
