“ Brand: Miss Sporty / Mascaras / Type: Eyeliner / Suitable for: Eye „
This is a black liquid eyeliner from budget beauty brand Miss Sporty. I'm quite a fan of theirs and so am constantly buying their products, this was an eyeliner that I came across in my make up box the other day after running out of my 2true one (will review that shortly too). The eyeliner claims to be able to define your eyes in just one stroke.
The packaging of this product is quite nice. The lid is a light blue coloured plastic which tapers towards one end making it easy to hold. The bottom of the packaging is black plastic and this section holds the liquid eyeliner, all the details of the product including name, manufacturer details and ingredients are printed on the black bottle in a silver font. To reveal the eyeliner wand you simply twist the lid. The wand itself consists of a thin selection of bristles packed together.
You can currently purchase this product in Superdrug for £2.79.
I feel this eyeliner is pretty good. I'm not quite sure why I stopped using it in the first place but I've been re-using it for a few days now and have been pleased with its performance. The tapered lid makes the product easy to hold and therefore easy to apply, you require quite a bit of control with liquid eyeliner and I feel this product performs well in providing precision.
The bristles are arranged slightly awkwardly I feel though and I do prefer a liquid eyeliner where the bristles come to a more solid tip, this however is not enough to create a problem it just means I have to take a bit more time to be accurate with this liquid eyeliner. The liner itself is of good pigmentation and good consistency, it applies in slick strokes to my eye lids and dries very quickly.
In terms of the eyeliners claim to define the eye in just one stroke I personally can't say it lives up to that but again I can't take too many marks away because every liquid eyeliner I've tried has required more than one stroke unless you are a real expert!
The eyeliner has remained on my lids for at least an 8 hour day without me noticing any fading or wearing away, I must admit I expect this sort of performance from an eyeliner especially a liquid one because it isn't a product that is usually interfered with on the face and so I was happy this eyeliner survived the day.
Overall I think this is a really nice cheap liquid eyeliner, the staying power is really good and it's really easy to use, I'm only removing a star because there are eyeliners I feel perform better in terms of the solid wand etc.
I like liquid eyeliner as I find it easier to apply than the kohl as it gives a smoother effect and looks more black than the kohl ones which comes out a slightly greyey black.
Everything in the Miss Sporty range costs under £3 and I think this particular item cost £2.79, which is good value for a liquid eyeliner. It is avaliable in Boots, where you'd recieve 8 advantage card points and also in Superdrug.
When it comes to applying it runs nice and easily across the eye and unlike some of the slightly thicker ones, this is a very thin eyeliner which means it is easier to get one neat line from one corner of the eye to the other.
However I did find that because it is quite thin that it came out quite pale, like a murskish grey / black colour, how I'd expect kohl eyeliners to appear, so I did find myself going over this a few times.
The thing I liked about this eyeliner is that it has quite a long brush / handle which means that it easy to move across the eye as it fits comfortable in your hand.
Once applied the eyeliner looks nice, dark and neat, unlike some of the others I have used it does not have that funny looking fakey texture to it. It also stays put all day and does not smudge like some others do and does not wear in the corners of the eyes either.
I really like this eyeliner and at the price I would definitley reccomend it!
This is another make-up product that I am never without. Im not a cheap skate when it comes to make-up in the slightest because I think most of the time the more expensive products mean better quality which in turn will obviously make you look much better. When it comes to liquid eyliner though with me it is the total opposite. Most of the more expensive liquid liners I have tried Ive found out later that Im allergic to and more or less all of the cheaper brands I have tried I have never had a problem with and that is the catagory this product falls into. I first tried this when I was going to a fancy dress party. The theme for the party was singers and actors so for some stupid reason I decided to go as ... wait for it ... Any Winehouse! Yes that is correct. And if she is known for one thing (other than the obvious heroin addiction) then it's her excessive use of liquid eyeliner so I went out looking for a tube that was cheap and that I could just waste loads of trying to perfect the look and this is the one I found. I have never looked back.
The brush for this liner is possibly the best thing about this product. The brush is actually a really thin PROPER brush, not one of those rock hard paintbrush ones but a real brush which makes applying it so much easier. As the brush is so thin it means you can create a really precise line that is totally straight! I have never been able to get a totally straight line with a liquid liner before but I really coloud with this one. Now even though the brush is so thin it actually picks up quite a lot of liquid with just one dip into the pot and it only takes one line straight accross to get a full, bold colour which cn be layered up for a thicker line if you want a bit more definition. And in case your wondering my Amy Winehouse eyes looked just like the real thing!
This liner really does give my eyes great definition, even if I do say so myself. And it also makes my eyes looks more alive and awake as if I had spent hours applying it when in fact it takes me about 30 seconds. The only thing I will say that annoys the hell out of me about this liner is that it does take quite a while to dry. If you open your eyes to quickly after you have applied this then you will be left with smudges and little black dots all around your eyes so my advice is this: keep your eyes closed for a few minutes after you apply as then it will dry and just leave your eyes looking great rather than smudged. I know that not exactly ideal so I do have to knock off one star but other than that this is close to the perfect eye liner!
But best of all it didnt irritate my eyes in the slightest. No red rings, no rashes and no watery eyes! So for me that makes this product a winner. See? Im not that choosy am I?
I would say that this liner lasts about 6-7 hours without fading or smudging in the slightest so thats pretty long in my opinion. Ive worn this out clubbing several times and it definately withstands any sweat that comes from dancing so it is really long lasting.

I definately recommend this to anyone who has senstive skin around their eyes and needs something that wont aggrevate that. Its long lasting, sensitive, has a great colour and lasts for ages. What more could you ask for? Pretty close to perfection I think.
