“ Brand: Miss Sporty / Type: Mascara / Suitable for: Eye „
I have been buying this product for a number of years now, and I love it. I use this product every single day, and I never really wear coloured mascaras as I find that my lashes are really dark and long already, and with something like a black mascara it makes them look and feel to heavy and much too long and spidery.
So this clear mascara is perfect for me. And it does appear to lengthen my lashes. And makes them look beautiful and natural! I have often been asked why my lashes look "glossy" (I usually pretend that I am not wearing anything on them, and my colleagues are jealous lol).
I would say this product would be good for younger girls that want to start wearing a little makeup, as this isn't product is nice and subtle. Or it would be good as a primer. Or for women that wear black mascara and then want a product just for their bottom lashes, as then you won't end up with black mascara on your face.
I have also used this product on my eyebrows, but I don't rate that too much. Just thought I would also mention that, if I curl my lashes (which I don't always do everyday), it will hold the curl.
I've used clear mascara before and found it makes no difference to my lashes at all and I have to admit this mascara doesn't do anything for me either. However the reason I bought it was to use it to set my brows as I was running out of setting wax in my urban decay brow box. Usually I would never touch Miss Sporty as I think they are aimed at young teenagers but as this was only £1.99 and I figured it couldn't be much difference to any other brands I bought it.
The packaging is nice and simple, clear with a white lid and metallic blue writing and stripe. The brush is very sparse and wirey which I'm not a fan of but it was cheap and is easy to use.
I did try this on my lashes just to see and yup no difference whatsoever, so I used it on my eyebrows (with and without applying powder). It helps add a little extra shape to my brows and I can set the direction the hairs go and doesn't flake when it's dry. I sometimes find I need to wipe a little excess off before using as I don't want too much. The mascara now isn't so clear from using it on top of my powder now and is instead a cloudy light brown but this doesn't affect the outcome and still works fine. The only thing I hate about this mascara is that is has a horrible cheap smell but otherwise it is fine.
Overall I wouldn't recommend for being used as mascara, unless maybe your child wants to wear some for school and isn't allowed to wear makeup. Or like I do, use it for setting your eyebrows!
Miss Sporty is a brand that is aimed at teenagers but that doesn't mean that they don't still have a couple of products that are suitable for someone who is a little bit older than the target market.
I really like their so clear range (except for the foundation which is horrible) and I also really quite like the clear mascara that they sell.
The clear mascara is designed to be a conditioning treatment to strengthen and nourish lashes. It doesn't do anything to make them longer or thicker when wearing it but it does do a decent job at separating and curling them a little.
As it is clear I only tend to use this during the day when I have had my eyelashes tinted so they are already dark and I just want something to give them a bit of definition without making them clumpy. It really makes my lashes look shiny and healthy but in a really natural way and you would be hard pressed to know that I even have anything on them.
The brush is really good especially considering that it is a cheap mascara and it is easy to load it up and apply it to my lashes without having to be especially careful with it.
The other thing that this mascara is good for that it doesn't really advertise is as an eyebrow tamer. When I haven't had my eyebrows waxed in a few weeks they tend to become a bit wild and untamed looking and this is good at getting them back flat and looking a bit more groomed and less wild. It also leaves them looking shiny and healthy without looking greasy as Vaseline can make my brows.
Overall for only £2.99 this is well worth the money and is a bit of a bargain really. It is just as good as most clear mascaras that I have tried and is half the price. It does exactly what I want from it which is to just give my lashes some separation and shine and control my brows without weighing them down or leaving them clumpy.
I bought this because I was sick of having to deal with my mascara running whenever it started raining. And even when the sun was out, I found that I still get a case of panda eyes. So I opted for this clear mascara.
The mascara itself is a bit like gel so I find that the time it takes to dry can be a bit longer than normal mascara. Also, I am someone who likes to curl my lashes. But when I apply this mascara, it has the same effect as water - it flattens by lashes. Not great.
However, I do find that it makes me lashes look fuller, it might just be a trick of the mind though so I'm in two minds about that one.
The mascara wand is nice because it feels very soft and is a typical mascara head. It quickly and easily coats your lashes.
I am not going to go around recommending this, but this is an okay buy. For someone with flat lashes, not so great though.
But for anyone like me who isn't best friends with black mascara, this is your buy. No need to spend hours trying to take off mascara anymore.
Over the last few months since I joined my local gym Ive been on what seems like a never ending search for a mascara that I can wear there that will withstand sweat and water - see Im not asking for too much! Ive been veering towards using mascara's that claim to be waterproof and when none of them work Ive been annoyed everytime but using a clear mascara never occured to me until a few weeks ago when I read a review right here on Dooyoo and bought this "Miss Sporty Just Clear Mascara" the very next day! The way I see it is that even if clear mascara cannot withstand water and it runs no-ne will be able to tell but if it stays put them your lashes look fab - I cant see whats not to like!
Stockists: Boots & Superdrug
And it obviously just comes in the one shade: Clear.
The brush for this mascara is ordinary and nothing more. Im happy about that though as often when companies change the shape of their mascara brushes in order to make it easier to apply it often makes it harder so in this case simplicity works. The mascara itself is basically looks and feels like thick water and is a tiny bit wet and sticky to the touch - I guess you get that with any mascara though so nothing strange there but nothing amazing either.
As the consistency is a bit runnier than normal mascara it does take slightly longer to dry once youve applied it but dont worr as it wont smudge and even if it does no-one will be able to tell! This definately lenghtens your lashes - although not so much on the volume side of things but if your only using it for the gym like I am then thats not a major issue. This certianly makes your eyes look wider and more awake but still look dead natural so this is also great for a day when you want a little bit of make-up but not like your caked in it.
I am happy to say that this as far as I can tell doesnt run or smudge at all while Im in the pool or on the treadmill so it is the most perfect mascara I have found for using at the gym so far. It may look a little too natural for everyday wear but it is a greta buy for young girls who are just starting to wear make-up or for people that want a REALLY natural look. Its great for taming your eyebrows into place as well as it keeps them in shape and exactly where you want themto be without them feeling sticky or weighed down.
4/5 stars overall as I wouldnt wear it everyday but this is like my gym life saver and I fully recommend it to everyone.

I have very dark hair, and am lucky enough to have quite thick dark eyelashes. Whenever I try dark macaras, I always found that they looked clumpy and over made up, but I still wanted something that was going to separate and define my lashes when I wore make-up , so was delighted when I discovered clear mascara, something I really hadn't known existed.
At just £2.99 from Superdrug, this was really quite reasonable, and I liked that the packaging was clear, allowing me to see how much of this was left in the tube. The packaging comes with a full list of ingredients on it, as well as the Miss Sporty logo .
There is no fancy stuff going on with the wand applicator on this, just unscrew the top and you're ready to apply . The mascara itself is alarmingly thick in consistency, but applied easily without any clumps at all. The wand was just the right size and shape, and my eyelashes really stood out and were well defined after using this, making me look a lot more awake and alert, without anybody really being able to tell I was wearing any makeup . I have also used this on occasion to tame my eyebrows, which can be a little wild and unruly, and as it's invisible nobody can tell I've used it . The fact that this is clear has the added benefit that if for any reason your eyes end up watering, you won't end up with panda eyes .
I think this is brilliant for me, and I use it daily. I think it makes my eyes look more awake and alert, and defines my lashes wonderfully . It doesn't lengthen or volumise, but then it makes no claims to . 5/5 - an excellent and inexpensive beauty product.
Miss Sporty clear mascara:
I had never really been keen on clear mascara until I tried this brand. I actually tried this after I had been recommended it by my sister. I didn't really know what it was going to be like but I found this one in Superdrug for a reasonably cheap price and I thought I would give it a go as it is something a little out of the ordinary.
This is basically clear mascara that is made by Miss Sporty which is a light conditioning gel which is great for your eye lashes because it not only nourishes them but it adds a little sparkle, glimmer and shine which is always lovely for use girlies.
This comes in one of the normal mascara tubes which is plastic and see through. The version I bought which was quite a while ago had lovely pink writing on it but it was very plain and simplistic which I like. The wand of this is also like a normal mascara brush but a little bit thinner and it doesn't get as messy!
Considering the fact that I probably use this a lot different to how other people use it, I will explain. I use a few layers of this before I put my mascara on as I feel it makes my eye lashes less clumpy and longer and also a little curlier. However, some people use this just on its own as they like to feel natural.
I bought this from Superdrug for under £2.50 but you can also buy this from other health and beauty stores. This is quite cheap considering it is very high quality and it works very well.
Advantages of this product:
* Looks great on your eyes and makes them feel fresh and look natural.
* This makes you feel very confident and people can't tell you are wearing it.
* This is also quite cheap which is always a bonus!
Disadvantages of this product:
* This can be a little sticky which is very annoying.
* This also dries up very quickly.
Personally, I like using this product because it makes my eye lashes look long and lovely and easy to put my normal mascara on.
I quite like wearing clear mascara, probably more so than your more convential black stuff. For a starter if you poke yourself in the eye you're less likely to have dark marks over your face which you can't completely get off.
I haven't spotted any other make up brands which do this range so I am stuck with Miss Sporty for the time being.
The actual packaging is pretty simple, coming in a little clear tube with a while lid. The disadvantage to this is that after a while the insides seem to change colour. Almost a pale brown colour.
Now you may be tricked into thinking that this is because I've been storing it incorrectly of something. However other people I know have had the same problem. So it isn't just me.
The brush is quite chunky so it does get a good amount of your lashes coated, giving the 'yes I am awake' look quite well. It may be a bit more helpful if you have one of those eyelash comb things. (I have absoloutly no idea how else to describe them!) After putting on the mascara the comb helps to separate them a bit more.
It does have quite a sticky texture, meaning that when you do put it on you can feel your lashes almost being put in place. It can also make they lift a bit more.
Appareantly it's quite good an eyebrow controller although I don't completely agree. Because of its consistency when you're putting it that close to your skin it just makes you want to rub it off again.
This cost me £1.97 from Superdrug and you do get what you pay for. It does what its made to do and nothing more. It's a simple buy and if you're running low on funds I think this is perfectly acceptable equivalant to higher priced buys.
I have been using Collection 2000's clear mascara for years and years as an eyebrow tamer, since I read an article in Shout magazine recommending it for keeping your brows in place! When I went into Boots recently and they didn't have any, I ended up getting a tube of Miss Sporty Just Clear mascara instead.
Now having stuck to one brand for so long - I'd say we're talking about 12-13 years here - I wasn't really sure what to expect from this product, but didn't think there could be a huge amount of difference between the two really.
The mascara comes in a clear tube with a white lid and a metallic blue band and writing on it. Compared to the Collection 2000 version, I much prefer this one, as the Collection 2000 one has a silver bottle of which the writing seems to wear off very quickly.
The brush on this one is quite chunky and has a good amount of bristles. As a brow gel, it goes on very easily and the brush grooms the brows as the gel begins to set them. It goes on smoothly, and I've never had little lumps of gel, as I have occasionally had with my regular brand. I have found though, that this gel is not as strong as my collection 2000 version, and I need to apply a little extra than normal to hold my brows in place.
Now I wouldn't normally use this as a mascara, but I have done a couple of times, when I've wanted to set the curl in my lashes, but not necessarily be wearing lots of make-up. The mascara claims to give natural-looking, feather light lashes and give them a natural shine. Obviously as it's clear it will not really lengthen the lashes because it's partly the colour that does that.
I find that this goes on easily, and it does lift and separate the lashes, and like I said if you've just used eyelash curlers on them it will hold the curl in place. As for looking natural, it's certainly that! You can hardly tell you have anything on your eyes at all, so if like me you have very pale lashes this is probably not for you. To be honest it's pretty disappointing as a mascara and doesn't really achieve much which is why I hardly ever use it as one, despite the fact that's what it's meant to be.
The mascara costs £2.93 from Superdrug.
Overall, I would say that this was OK as an eyebrow gel and I may buy it again if my usual brand was not available. As a mascara though, I wouldn't really bother with it.
