Review of Miss Sporty Perfect Colour Lipstick
Miss Sporty is a basic, budget range of cosmetics from the well-known Coty Company. Miss Sporty products are widely available from High street stores and various online outlets.
The shade I have in front of me as I write this review is shade number 174, which I believe is called 'Malaga'. It is a rich, deep plum/red shade, a glossy lipstick presented in a dead boring navy blue container, the picture provided by Dooyoo is out of date!
The packaging is really basic, made of hard plastic; it consists of just a pull off lid covering a twist up lipstick. I purchased this lipstick from Superdrug a couple of months ago and paid around £2.50 for it.
Miss Sporty have a wide range of lipstick colours ranging from pale pinks through to black so there is something for almost everyone.
==In My Experience==
The lipstick I have is a shiny formula as opposed to a matt effect. It glides on very well, giving an even and smooth coverage. Being a 'stick' lipstick I tend to apply straight from the tube, rather than with a brush as I do when using a palette style of lipstick. The lipstick feels pleasant on the lips, it is not greasy or sticky and it has no nasty chemically taste, the way some lipsticks do. I also find that this lipstick is very true to colour, in the past I have had issues with lipsticks looking totally different on the skin, but not so with this particular shade, it is just the same on the lips as it is in the tube.
All in all, I am pleased with the colour, coverage and ease of application of Miss Sporty Perfect Colour Lipstick.
Where this lipstick falls down is the staying power. It is fine for an hour or so, but that it seems to wear off very quickly, leaving me with bare skin in the middle of my lips and an edging of colour, not an attractive look or one I think anyone would wish to emulate! I find this lipstick needs touching up very regularly in order to keep your lip colour fresh.
On the plus side, the lipstick does not 'bleed' into the fine lines around my lip line which can be a problem for some women of my age group.
==Final Thoughts and Conclusion==
I am not loyal to any brand of cosmetics, I tend to buy products that catch my eye or are in a colour that I happen to be looking for. Miss Sporty is, I feel, aimed at the younger end of the market and as such, the range offers value for money and a pretty good selection of products.
For me, this lipstick is good enough for the money, it does not last long so loses points on the staying power but as it is not a colour I wear regularly, that is not really too much of a problem in my opinion. I bought this lipstick to wear for a special occasion and it has served the purpose. I do not tend to wear red toned lipsticks much so although I wanted this shade, I didn't want to spend very much on it. At £2.50 this is a veritable bargain and I would definitely buy again from this range.
I am awarding Miss Sporty Perfect Colour lipstick a 4* rating, dropping a star for limited staying power.
I would recommend this lipstick to others.

I purchased a Miss Sporty Sheer Shine lipstick from Superdrug for £1 in their sale. I have colour 71 which does not have a name.
The lipstick itself comes in a pink plastic which you can see through and it is one which the lid is as long as the lipstick so you pull the lid off and then unwind the smaller part of the container to get the lipstick up.
The lipstick winds up easily and one of my favourite things about this lipstick is the smell. It smells of watermelon andwhen you put it on your lips it tastes of watermelon to yummy.
On applying the lipstick do it slowly because it is very slippy and I can imagine after a few drinks it could be entirely possibly to slip and end up with it over your face its really that slippy. Even though its slippy it leaves a good colour behind and it also leaves my lips feeling moisturised. Can not find much about the lipstick online to see if it suppost but that is definatley how it makes my lip feel they always feel smoother after wearing these this lipstick.
As for staying it power unfortunatley it does not have much maybe an hour a bit more if your lucky and I think this is down to the slippy factor it easily transfers onto drinks and fades.
I give this 4 stars because I like the smell and the taste, the way it makes my lips feel and also the price. Looses a star because of the lack of staying power.
Without a little colour on my lips I can often look like death warmed up. As you can imagine that's not really the look that I'm after and this means I am always on the look out for decent lip colour.
Although I like gloss I don't like to wear it every day as I don't like the stickiness. I don't often like the full on colour of most lipsticks, so I tend to look for sheer shimmering colours or failing that I buy lipsticks in shades such as Nude and Blush.
While shopping at Fragrance direct I saw a Miss Sporty Lasting Finish Lipstick for 80p in the colour Natural Glow and liking a bargain as much as the next person (maybe a little more) I decided to give it a go.
Apart from Natural Glow there are 3 other colours for sale at Fragrance Direct (they should give me commission, the amount of times I mention their shop!!!)
Nearly Nude- A medium tan colour with a hint of pink
Nude Bronze- A Taupe colour, it doesn't look an attractive colour as it looks slightly grey on the picture!
Nude Praline- The pinkest of the lot, like a soft Rose colour
Before buying this lipstick I had never heard of the Miss Sporty. Miss Sporty www.miss-sporty.co.uk
is a cosmetics brand which is part of the Coty beauty division. Coty is the largest fragrance company in the world and was established in 1904 in Paris. Coty seems to have their hand in many different beauty and fragrance products including many celebrity endorsed perfumes such as The Beckhams, Kylie Minogue and Halle Berry (Halle Berry has a perfume???)
The lipstick comes in a plastic copper coloured tube. The bottom is flat but the top of the lid is slightly slanted and has an embossed crown on top which I believe is the Miss Sporty symbol. I think it is quite attractive packaging however I find the lid annoying as sometimes you think you have put it on properly but you haven't and it pops open in your bag. Luckily my lipstick has never been damaged, but at 80p if it was damaged I think I would get over it with time! The lipstick has the usual mechanism where you twist it to make the lipstick rise and I have never had any problems there.
I found the lipstick looked much darker than I had anticipated and that it was exactly the same colour as copper except you can see that it has very slight sparkles in it. There is a slight Almond scent to the lipstick which isn't much different to other lipsticks and is not unpleasant at all.
When you first put the lipstick on you realise that the colour is very sheer and in fact you only get a slight hint of the copper colour, which probably isn't that surprising given the fact that the lipstick is called natural glow. Instead you get a slightly metallic peachy colour. The colour probably looks slightly metallic because the lipstick shimmers and is pearlescent. It goes very smoothly on to the lips though if your lips are quite dry it wont look that great as the shimmer will likely accentuate it by catching the lights on all the dry bits.
This is supposed to be a long lasting lipstick however it is a bit hard for me to judge this aspect of the lipstick as I am a lip biter, but I think it could last about 5 hours before reapplication is needed as it is a slightly dry lipstick and they tend to stay on longer than moisturising lipsticks.
I am very pleased with this lipstick as it can be worn alone or on top of other lipsticks to give them a shimmering new look. I would definitely buy it again and maybe try some of the other colours too as at 80p its cheaper than most lip balms I buy. I had never heard of Miss Sporty before buying this product, but if they are all of this quality and at such reasonable prices I will give other Miss Sporty products a go (unless Dooyoo reviews tell me otherwise!)
I have had my Miss Sporty Perfect Colour Lipstick for what seems like years - well ok, months at least - but I love it. It is a firm favourite in my make up bag, even though it was a cheap and cheerful impulse buy.
The case is dark blue and simple in design - serving its purpose.
The consistency is nice and suits me well, it is soft and non-drying, and it glides on my lips with ease. Lipsticks don't like staying on my lips for long, so I can't rave about its staying power - but I'm happy with it.
The colour I have got is shade number 121 - Big Love. It is a mid pink matt colour - I like matt lipsticks for their more "natural" appearance, I can't be doing with all the shimmer and shine for daytime looks, but that's just personal preference of course.
For a cheap and cheerful product it's great, and I would recommend it.
I only found out about this company a few months ago when I was out on one of my usual weekly shopping journeys. I have never heard much about Miss Sporty, I mean I have heard something about them and their name has been mentioned in magazines but not too much because the brand are not as well known as some. I have decided to review the lipstick to give people some sort of idea of the products and to spread the word so that people can get this make up that is great for not too expensive a price. If you walk into a Superdrug shop then walk along to the make up section where all of the separate displays are and eventually in most Superdrugs anyway you should come across the display for Miss Sporty. Not every branch has one but this is the only shop I have ever seen the Miss Sporty make up in. I was surprised at the nice collection and had a really good look at the products. Shimmer sticks similar to rimmel but not as expensive, eye shadows, lipsticks, eyeliners so many to see. I also like the nail varnishes they are quite simple colours but nice. I decided to buy a lipstick when here it only cost about £2 I think and there are nice shades. I love expensive make up but there are some shades you can only find in cheaper brands. They have dark and light shades but I went for a more unusual shade that I have not got. I got shade number 020 so if you go to the display look for the number and you will see the colour I got. I know this may be a strange discription but I would describe the shade as a pearly pink, a sort of pale pink mixed with pech to give a soft shade. When looking at the lipstick I thought it would go on unevenly and too light but it surprised me it blended in evenly and gave a soft finish it was smooth to apple and looks great on. It is a very natural shade and would suit olive and pale skin tones. It is quite a girly colour but it makes a difference to appearance without giving the look that you have spend ages to get your look
. It is what I call the 'not too much' look. I love this lipstick and always wear it. Miss Sporty is under the Coty range which I am sure many people will have heard of. The logo is quite plain just a normal font with the writing miss sporty no capital letters and the 'O' is completely white inside. This is on a dark blue plastic lid which is sea through if you shine it to the light so transparent blue. There is quite a lot of lipstick inside and it should last a while depending on how often you use it. It is easy to apply and it doesn't need a lip brush. It is a soft lip stick so glides on easily. This company is good and for a smaller brand should certainly get more notice. I like it and love the eyeliners most some nice shades.
First of all the price of this product varies as to when it's on offer. I paid 99p for one lipstick and got the other free (with a £1.99 mascara). I can tell you that it would be under £2 if you wanted to go and buy it for yourself. It comes in a fairly bland packaging, a dark blue, semi-transparent case with 'Miss Sporty' and it's Manufacturer's logo (COTY) written on the lid in white writting. It isn't scented and is suitable for all skin types. It doesn't come with an ingredients listing, but all that type of information in contained on cards which are attatched to the Miss Sporty shelves. There are loads of colours from reds, to pinks, browns and purples, all different shades and none are scented. I have two glossy brown shades, numbers 202 and 203. They stay on for a long time, but they do come off if you are eating and/or drinking as do many lipsticks. The packaging is compact, but not that bright so you might have to dig around in you bag to find it. They are however quick and easy to apply and they glide on leaving your lips feeling smooth and moist, I hate having dry lips. Because they are under £2, I think they are a brilliant bargain and their is loads of choice, so there's bound to be a shade to suit everyone. GO on and have a look for yourself.
