Under the burden of heavy student debt I was forced today to go in search of very cheap mascara. I know this is no easy challenge especially when one has such high expectations for the miracle eye-product that is mascara.
Being a usual L'Oreal Volume Mascara girl, seeking volumious lashes without any clogging, packaged in a way one would not be ashamed of, I was dubious that I could buy anything for under the usual £6.99. But lo and behold there in that faithful store that is Superdrug I found a mascara that was both aesthetically pleasing and effective.
As part of the 'Miss Sporty' range aimed at teenagers, the 'voluminous mascara' was charged at a very reasonable £1.99. At this price one would doubt it's efficacity, but I have just emerged from the bathroom, with thicker, sleeker lashes. It's application brush would rival any of the leading brands, without clogging, and the product itself - in bright blue packaging makes you feel young and sparkly (even if the thought of student debt is hanging over like a dark cloud!) Now that's what I call a mascara - not only does it uplift your lashes but also your spirit - and a snip at £1.99!
