“ Brand: Miss Sporty / Type: Eyeliners / Suitable for: Eye „
I would be completely lost without a decent mascara and eyeliner because without either of these products I look quite scary - I have light auburn hair which means I have very faint lashes and no clear definition around the eye area.
I am on a very tight budget so this Miss Sporty was a good find for me costing just £3 at Superdrug and I have to say it is almost as good at eyeliners I have bought in the past costing three times more. I did not really look at the range of colours as I always use black but I did see a brown for those who prefer a softer look. It comes as shown in the Dooyoo picture and the top end was sealed in shrink plastic meaning it had not been used.
The top fits closely which is good because I know it cannot come off in my bag and can keep the top as sterile as possible. The pencil itself is a standard length and you can sharpen it easily without it breaking or splintering. Depending on where I am going and who I am with I find it is easy to use for precision lines or more blunt giving more of a smokey look. It has good staying power and I only seem to have to touch it up once a day/evening yet it is easy enough to remove with eye remover lotion.
It does not 'move' into the corner of my eyes nor does it 'disappear' which is something I have noticed with other brands and, although I have quite sensitive eyes, it does not irritate my eyes or make them look bloodshot.
I have been using my present eyeliner for 6 weeks now and I will not have to buy another until the New Year because it lasts a fair while making it a great buy in my opinion.
I've been using this eyeliner for a while now and I haven't really ever used another black eyeliner, please bare that in mind when reading this review.
Firstly, I'd like to mention that the reason for this is because I use the product four or five times a week and it never seems to run out, it's one of those products that you'll never seem to finish using no matter how many times you use it. Secondly, the price is amazing for what you get, retailing around the £3 mark (you can't really go wrong, can you?)
I have the black eyeliner crayon in this range as I wanted something different from the Miss Sporty eyeliner pencil that I have used for so many years. The packagine is black in colour and the lid is very easy to remove, the writing on the packaging isn't particularly exciting or engaging but then again it is a budget eyeliner.
The product doesn't last long on the eyes at all, if I reapplied my eyeliner each and every time it wore off I'd have driven myself nuts. It's very disappointing in performance - yet I continue to use it? The application of the product is very easy, I feel as if I don't need to press and work the product into my waterline.
It's a cheap eyeliner, it's easy to apply. But it's rubbish.
I bought this eyeliner about 6 months ago to try as a cheaper alternative to L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eye Liner. At almost £3 cheaper, I thought Miss Sporty was worth trying and i'm very glad I did. I have fair skin so bought the brown shade called Grizzly as black always looks too harsh on me and loved how well it compliments my skin tone and freckles. The product is creamy and glides onto both the bottom or top lash lines effortlessly. I have had no trouble with the colour transferring from the top lash line to the crease of my eyelids which is a problem I have had with lots of other eyeliners. I have also found the product to be long-lasting as I use eyeliner every day and the one I bought 6 months ago is still going strong. I also like the mini sharpener at the end of the eyeliner to give you the opportunity to apply a narrower line of eyeliner if you wish. I found it to be reasonably waterproof too when i've been swimming which is always a bonus as you don't want to look like a drowned rat when you come out of the pool. For me, I honestly cannot think of a disadvantage as it ticks all the boxes for me.
I bought this eye-liner about 1 year and a half a go, and I do not regret buying it!
The way the eye-liner pencil looks is very cute, very small and very easy to use, it last a long time to, and is very cheap.
The eye-liner glides on very easy and gives a very nice look, i also use this as i would a liquid eye-liner (on eyelids) as it looks great there, and doesn't smudge, I think it makes your eyes really stand out, it is quite heavy though if you know what I mean? it is not a light looking eye-liner, it is quite a dark, heavy looking one? probably best for nights out.
I use this in black but I am pretty sure they now have colours like bright pink, bright blue, bright green and brown, I would recommend this if you like your eye-liner to look heavy when you use it, and maybe try out the brown if you would like a lighter eye-liner look as I have heard good things about the brown to, and how it looks quite natural and flattering.
I've been wearing eyeliner for years and have gone through plenty of brands for no real reason. I never found that one worked better than the other so always went for the cheaper option. However, this cheap option turned out not to be worth it.
The eye liner is a push up one. You have to turn the bottom bit for the tip to come out of the top. Although it does save the hassle of having to sharpen, I never really found this device that intriguing. Plus it never allowed the tip to be sharp for more precise applications.
When applying it, although the jet black colour that I chose does show up well, it takes more strokes on the pencil to get it on there properly. Without the sharp tip, it tends to smudge around the areas you don't need it as well so I tend to have to use a bit of cotton wool getting it to look neat and tidy. I'm also not able to use the methods I sometimes like using such as putting it under warm water for a 'smoky' look as the eye liners doesn't seem to react the same way as those I have used it the past.
As its a push up eye liner, its very difficult to see when you will be needing to buy a new one as you cannot see how much you have left without pushing the whole things up to see how much is left.
However, applying it does feel comfortable and smooth compared to some other products I have used so I guess the time spend using miss sporty eye liner has given me eyes some rest from those less smooth ones.
The Miss Sporty eye liner was very cheap. I recall getting it for around £1.99 however; others that I have bought for the same price, sometimes less are much better quality so I still wouldn't recommend this, even for the price. I have gone for other miss sporty make up so I don't think that this reflects on all their products nevertheless.
Overall, I would go with a different product preferably a pencil rather than a push up eye liner.
When it comes to make up, eye liner is the biggest need I have. I love wearing it and the effect I feel it gives me. I feel so much better with it on than without. I feel that it defines my eyes and makes them look brighter, more attractive and generally more healthier. Having said all this, Im not one of those girls who wear too much of this stuff. Just enough to make a difference without looking like iv been punched in the eyes (panda eyes).
I have had a number of Miss Sporty Eye Liners before, simply because I always tend to lose them! I have noticed that I do keep buying this eyeliner again and again, simply because it is cheaper than most brands out there and it works!
This eye liner like most come in the form of a pencil with a lid. The lid is basically to protect the liner and as this stuff is very easily applied, it also protects your hangbag/make-u bag from turning all charcoal-ee! I find that the texture of this eye liner makes it very easy to apply to the eyes. It stays on pretty well when on too which is good. However like most eyeliners, you always find the blobs in the corner of the eyes, which you generally find when you look in the mirror after having had it on for about 10 minutes.
I like how easily the eye liner applies to the bottom line of the eyes, but also gives a defined line.
Overall I certainly would recommend this eye liner. It does the job and isnt as highly priced as most brands!
