I have used a few of the Miss Sporty products since I was in high school, I have had my ups and downs with it as with most brands, some of their products are great, while others are absolutely awful. I decided to try this foundation a few months ago because whenever I had the money, I enjoyed going out and buying make up, I always try and find something better than I currently use. ------------- THE PRICE ------------- I am positive I payed around £3.40/3.49 for this foundation, the amount of foundation which you get is 30ml. ---------------------- THE APPEARANCE ----------------------- The foundation comes in a beige coloured tube with a white twist of lid. Over the front and back of the bottle is information about the product wrote in a aqua blue colour. Also on the foundation is the name of the shade you have selected. The colour of the foundation is the same colour you have chosen, and the texture is quite thick and creamy. ----------------- MISS SPORTY ------------------ Well, as most girls know Miss Sporty is a low budget make up brand which sell a whole range of cosmetics. This foundation tells us that it will control your shiny face, you will therefore look dewy and natural all day long! It also tells us it will blend away your imperfection and even out your skin tones. The foundation claims that it is also enriched with minerals which will prevent your skin from irritation. It also tells us we will get up to 8 hours of perfect matte stay, how lovely! -------------------- MY EXPERIENCE -------------------- Well Miss Sporty are awful with their colours, I will be awful, always 3 shades to choose from Light Medium Dark I think they could do better than that! I usually go for a medium shade so of course I picked up the medium. I used a primer before applying this to help it stay on longer and look more natural. The foundation goes on very easily and gives a light-medium coverage, being me I wasn't happy as I like a full coverage face! The colour of the foundation seemed to be a bit too orange for me, and half way through the day I noticed it had gone quite chalky looking on my face and then it had strangely gone to full coverage, but horrible unnatural looking coverage, it was also extremely shiny, even powder didn't make this look better, it looked a lot worse. If you are interested my skin type is in between dry and shiny, and I suffer from acne. I don't recommend this foundation.
So, I have a fairly light skin tone and I finally wanted to find a foundation that would suit my skin colour perfectly. I was just browsing in Superdrug not long ago and I came across this foundation. Fortunately for me, the shade 'Light' suited my skin colour perfectly and I was proud to say I thought I had finally found the perfect match for me. The next day I started to try this product out to see what I liked and disliked about it. Before applying the product, I applied Nivea Creme moisturiser all over my face and then I started to apply the foundation. I thought at first this foundation was amazing because it set on my face fairly well. I then brushed pressed powder onto my face and went out for the day. Half way through the day I looked in the mirror and started to notice that my skin was looking extremely oily than it usually does. However, I didn't think it was the fault of the foundation I thought it was possibly because I had applied too much moisturiser. So the next day I applied the foundation again but without applying moisturiser first. I then looked in the mirror a few hours later and still noticed my skin was ridiculously oily and shining. I then researched on YouTube reviews on this product and most people had the same problem. I highly suggest you do not purchase this product because it does not do what it says on the tin.
Well I was in superdrug the other day and I didn't have much money on me but I was desperate for some foundation as mine was nearly finished! So here's me looking around for some cheap bargains and I come accross a foundation for £3. Which I think is a very good price. The packaging didn't really attract me just a plain skin colour tube and a white lid. As I was in a hurry a bought it then rushed home Putting It On Okay I guess. I mean this foundation only comes in 3 shades so its not going to be the best thing ever. I a a bit darker than others but not very dark so I picked up Medium hoping it would cover well. It does an allright job. It is a bit light for me though so I would recommened getting a powder and bronzer and it blends in quite good with your fingers. I have a few spots and they cover up quite well too if you look closerly however you can still see them slightly Does it Stay? Well it says 8hrs. This is quite a big lie to me. It only stayed on for about 4 but thats just me I have quite oily skin so that is probably something to take account of. So if your skin is perfect then maybe it is going to be different The product isn't that even but what do you expect for £3. I say it does I good job for its price and it is fine if your just staying in the house and not going anywhere fancy. The Verdict Buy this product if you have light skin are not spotty and don't need alot of foundation. If your a tween then this is just right for you (unless you have severe acne). Good for a budget too.
Miss sporty is a make-up brand that as far as I know is only sold in superdrug stores. Everything in the range is under £3.00 and good if you're looking for some bargains. There are currently 3 foundations in the range - Light energy foundation - So clear foundation - And the one I'm reviewing - So Matte Foundation Now I must say if I had tried the other two before this one, I wouldn't have even bothered trying this as they are both totally awful, exactly what you would normally expect for £3 I guess. But luckily this was the first one I tried and I've now been using it for a few years. Ok so to start, this product comes in a pretty dull tube in a skin-like colour with a white lid and it certainly doesn't stand out. The shades are quite limited and only it only comes in Light, Medium and Dark. On the front It has the Miss Sporty logo and it says that it is - So Matte perfect stay, 8hr, Matte finish, shine control with smoothing minerals. That it is dermatologically tested and is for all skin types. It also has a little round sticker telling me that it is no.02 Medium. I have quite pale skin and usually go for a lighter foundation but I find that the light one is far too pale and makes me look quite sick so I like the medium one as I think it gives me a nice colour without being to pale or dark. On the back It says So Matte perfect stay foundation for all day natural matte finish - Controls oil shine, skin looks matte and natural all day long - Evens out skin tone perfectly and blends away fine lines and skin imperfections leaving comfortable coverage. - Enriched with emollients and minerals that help prevent skin from irritation. - Oil free formula that allows skin to breathe Smooth, flawless and perfectly matte throughout the day. Dermatologically tested All skin types It then has a list of all the ingredients 30ml Coverage I find this foundation pretty perfect for me, I'm not too spotty but when I do break out it covers my spots pretty well, it also does an alright job of covering my freckles (which I hate) and leaves my skin looking a bit more evenly-toned. I think its easy enough to blend as well. Now it does last long enough, maybe not always the 8 hours it claims as I find it seems to come off easily if its a hot day and you start sweating a lot. Fortunately coming from Ireland I don't particularly have a problem of being too hot that often so it works out fine for me. In conclusion So yes I would definitely recommend this foundation, no it isn't as good as some more expensive ones, but hey I think for £3 this is a pretty damn good substitute.
