If push came to shove, I could live without foundation. If my life depended on it, I could bin the lip products. But I simply cannot leave the house without eye liner and mascara surrounding my eyes. Mascara was one of the first make up products I used, and I have stuck by it ever since. Over the years I have tried quite a range of mascaras from various shops and brands, and the latest to enter my collection is the Miss Sporty Studio Lash Instant Volume mascara.
I'm a sucker when it comes to appearances of products, and indeed the first thing that attracted me to this particular mascara was its packaging. I've tried many of the mascaras from Miss Sporty before - they do have quite a variety available - and whilst I was away to pick up my usual item, I spied this one a few products along. The tube itself is a standard size, stretching from my wrist to the tip of my pinkie finger, round in shape. It was the colour though that first caught my attention. The tube is an amazingly bring pink colour, an almost-Barbie pink shade. Needless to say, with pink being my favourite colour, I wanted to find out more!
Reading the product name, I discovered it was 'Studio Lash'. There is another Studio Lash product, though with a black tube, and at first I was torn between the two. The word 'Studio' alone is enough to sell this product to me. When I read that this particular option was going to give me instant volume, I decided that it was definitely favoured - I used to have quite long prominent eye lashes but over the years they seem to have shrunk! With that, I made my purchase, satisfied.
As soon as I arrived home I decided to try out my new mascara. As I untwisted the lid, I was quite surprised with what I saw. Usually Miss Sporty mascara wands have very thick brushes at the end, very bristly. Though I was delighted to see that this one was much more slender and rubbery. I had been looking for a wand like that for quite a while but did not want to pay the extortionate prices that were being asked for, so to find one from one of my favourite ranges is fantastic.
My eyelashes then mascara free, I swept the brush across then. Straight away they turned a dark shade, black, as the mascara stuck to them. They transformed instantly into baby spider legs, volumised and luscious as they stood above my eyes. Applying to the lower lashes was easy to as the small brush allowed for more manoeuvring. Finishing off the look with my Miss Sporty eye liner, my eyes were set to go.
There is no denying that this is a wonderful mascara. It looks amazing, it applies with ease, and leaves your eyelashes long, dark and clumpfree. What's more is the fact that it has an amazing price! Everything within the Miss Sporty range is under £2, and they tend to have a '3 for £5' deal on too. With my local Superdrug sticking to the RRPs of the product, I paid just £1.99 for this product, which is fantastic. I've tried before mascaras that would cost around £10, and I actually find this one to be of equal quality, if not better. It is definitely worth going for as you will save money but achieve the same results.
If it wasn't for the fact that I like to try new mascaras, I would most certainly buy this one again. Okay so I will probably keep a tube in my make up 'box' in case of a mascara-related emergency, but I am going to make my way through all the other mascaras available first! It is incredibly attractive, so it would make quite a nice present idea too - just purchase a few more make up items and pop them in a glittery gift bag and you have yourself a gift! It's a wonderful item with a superb price tag - what more could you ask for?
