... previous experience with the Miss Sporty brand. The mascara cost £3.29 which is much less than I am normally prepared to pay for a mascara - this made me very happy! The mascara comes in a pale blue tube with silver writing, which doesn't make it look sophisticated, though it doesn't look tacky. The packaging for the whole brand makes me think it is aimed at younger women and teenagers but this didn't put me off. The mascara wand was thin and pointed and I found it easy to apply to my lashes. The mascara defines la...more

I'm not loyal to any brand of make-up as a rule, but Miss Sporty is one I've ended up going back to a lot now. I know it's more known for being a cheaper brand aimed at teenage girls, affordable prices for average quality cosmetics. But I love some of the cosmetics from the brand, despite being the wrong side of 40! ( and 50 ;) ) I first tried this when my teenage grandaughter gave me one when she'd had them on a buy one get one free offer a while back. I didn't expect anything from it, as I'd normally paid about £10 for mascaras from Loreal and Maxfactor, this seemed like it would be cheap and a bit rubbish to be honest. The packaging is very ...  Read the complete review

I was about to go on holiday to Portugal, my first ever beach holiday, and was hunting for some waterproof mascara. I know wearing makeup to the beach or by the pool is probably a bit silly, but my natural eyelashes are very pale, and considering I dye my hair dark brown, I can look a bit silly without a coat of mascara! After a disappointing experience with The Body Shop Waterproof Mascara (previously reviewed), I decided to read some Dooyoo reviews before making another choice (which is something I should have probably done in the first place). This Miss Sporty Fabulous Lash Waterproof Mascara got really good reviews so I decided to go to Superdrug and buy it, despite .  Read the complete review

The best mascara in the most unlikely place! That's how I'd sum up miss sporty mascara. It's a 'value for money' brand for teens which doesn't make you necessarily think quality but this mascara has taught me not to judge a product by its price tag. The mascara was recommended to me by a friend and though I'd seen the miss sporty brand strolling up and down the make-up aisles in my local boots I always walked right by it. It doesn't have a catchy slogan and doesn't promise 'lashes that reach for the sky' but id say definitely give this a go, its cheap as chips so you have nothing to lose =] The mascara has a pretty standard looking brush which is a ...  Read the complete review

I normally tend to go for the cheapest nail varnish I can find, as my eyelashes are naturally quite long. I normally just use boots natural collection's curling one, which costs me £1.99, but does the job well. However, i was on holiday and had run out, and there where no boots stores around, just a superdrug. I went in and the cheapest one i could find was this one, miss sporty waterproof mascara. After i had bought it I put some on and was pleasently surprised at how well it worked. It seperated my lashes and left no clumps, another bonus was that it was waterproof, and I didn't need to take it off before I jumped in the pool, yay! The mascara cost me around £2.99, I .  Read the complete review

Egged on by the positive reviews of other Miss Sporty products, I plunged in and bought the £1.99 waterproof mascara. I'm well past the teenage stage that the products is aimed at, so I thought I'd be a good test. Well, like the other products, it does just what is says on the tube!! I bought the waterproof version as I wear contact lenses and cos my eyes must produce more tears than non contacts wearers, most mascaras run, even expensive waterproof ones. I was pleased with its perfomance, and it's not all cakey to put on like some other waterproof mascaras. It's nice and flexible, and not the most voluminous mascara, you can build it up and it ...  Read the complete review
