After receiving a free Models Own lipgloss in a promotion I started to get into the brand and decided to purchase a few more of their products as I liked the lipgloss. One of the items I needed was a new eyeshadow brush as my old one was getting a bit dirty and had been used with the same dark colour for a long time so I wanted one I could use with my summer make up and the range at Boots was really good so I decided to purchase a Models Own one. I had a few different ones to choose from, a blending one and a shading one and I decided to go for the shading one as I don't really need to blend eyeshadow as I tend to just wear one colour and so only need to shade my eyes rather than blending two or more colours together.
These brushes are really nice looking and they are described as professional quality brushes. What I like about this brush is that it has really nice bristles. The bristles are flat but are also tapered a bit as well, they are in a sort of curve and are bigger in the middle of the brush and then dip a bit at the sides. The brushes are quite thick too so when I swipe it over my eyeshadow I find it picks up a lot of the powder straight away and I do not need to keep reapplying which is nice. The bristles are also really nice and soft too so when you swipe them over your eyelids which are quite sensitive parts of your skin the brush does not irritate or hurt in any way.
The handle is medium length I would say but its long enough that you can hold it and get a good grip and really apply it to your eyelids easily and without getting the rest of your face covered with any eye shadow powder that make fall off the brush.
Models Own say that this brush will give you, "seamless coverage for an effortless and natural finish." My eyes do look really nice when I use this brush and I'm glad I bought it. It cleans well, I just swish it around in a bit of soapy water and let it dry out and its ready to use again. The brush cost me £4 and its one I definitely recommend.
