I was chatting with my friend the other day and she was rummaging through her make-up box. She showed me her latest buys and the Molton Brown Lip gloss was amongst them so I had a look at it. The packaging was good, but I was not at all impressed by the gloss itself. Okay, it wasn't bad, but it was no better than some of the cheaper ones like Boots 17. There is no way that I would pay around a tenner for this gloss just because it is presented well.
Molton Brown Wet Lips (the clear gloss in the tube) has been hyped from here to kingdom come in the media and by the stores themselves. So I thought it must be good - it was supposed to be absolutely the glossiest gloss that there ever was. It wasn't. It was ordinary. Very, very ordinary. It cost about a tenner and for that I could have bought ten of those roll on lip shine things, because this was absolutely no better than that. It didn't have the really glazed wet look that I hoped it would at all. Plus, I wasn't at all keen on the vaguely minty aroma. The tube with the tiny narrow nozzle was a good idea and kept the product hygienic, but that's about the only positive thing I have to say.
