Great budget blush!

Advantages: easy to apply, a matte powder, looks good on, cute packaging, cheap
Disadvantages: it is not my favourite to use, but for £1 I can't complain
After reading good reviews about the Superdrug MUA (which stands for Makeup Academy) range, I really wanted to try some of their products out.
~ Pricing ~
Not only did their blusher receive good reviews, but it costs just £1.00 each or 3 for £2.00 and you can mix and match on all of their products that cost £1.00, which includes lipsticks, eye shadows, mascara, face powder, eye and lipliner pencils and some of their nail polishes are £1.00, but they also do different nail polishes, which are slightly more expensive at around £3.50.
There is a Superdrug not far from where I work and I decided on my lunch break one day last week that I'd treat myself to a lipstick or two.
I thought I might as well go for the 3 items for £2.00 deal and I picked out 2 lipsticks and a blusher.
The blusher is available in about 10 different colours, but I was faced with a much more limited choice in the Superdrug near my work and I opted for Shade 3, which is a dark pink colour.
~ Appearance ~
The blusher is a rectangular shape and comes in a small compact. It has a clear hinged lid with 'MUA' in large silver letters on the front. Underneath this are the words, 'Makeup academy blusher'.
The bottom of the compact is made from black plastic and on the bottom there is a white sticker with a list of ingredients, the shade number and it also tells you that this is 2.4g of product.
You can see the colour of the blusher through the clear plastic lid and the letters, 'MUA' is imprinted into the actual blusher powder.
I quite like the rectangular compact. It is quite cute.
~ Use ~
Looking at the blusher in its packaging, it appears to have some tiny specs of shimmer in it, but this is minimal and after applying it to my skin I can't make out any shimmer at all and the blusher actually looks really matte on my cheeks.
I thought the colour might looks a little bit dark on me as I have very pale skin, but this is not the case. It gives my cheeks a nice dusting of colour.
I have found that the blusher is picked up very easily onto my brush. It creates a fine powder and also applies easily to your cheeks.
I have been rather impressed with this blusher. I have found it to be fairly long lasting, still showing on my skin after 5 hours.
I would definitely buy this blusher again and would quite like to try some of their other colours.
I wouldn't normally have bought this colour, but I wanted to try their blusher and they had a limited range left on the shelves and as it happens, I really like this colour.
This blusher is cheap enough to try their whole range of colours if you want to get a better idea of which colours you suit.
