I have recently gotten into the MUA make up range that you can find in Superdrug.

The superdrug website says Make Up Academy is known for its affordable & high quality products, built up from MUA(all £1) & a recent extension with MUA Professional (from £1.50 to £4).

Nowadays I normally use a lip and cheek stain as my blusher of choice but I was looking for a powder blusher as well because you can achieve such a different look to your face by using a powder blusher and I wanted this for the Christmas season. In the past I have used Benefit blushers but until I get some more vouchers for Christmas I can't justify the £20 plus price tag so I decided to try the MUA range. I honestly still can't get over the fact that they cost just £1, £1, I mean that is amazing and for that price you could buy all six colours and still not break the bank but I was sensible and just got one colour to try it out. The block of colour is rectangle and also quite large and I think one is really enough at any one time anyway as I think it will take me months to get through this.

The blusher colours that MUA offer range from pink and coral to deeper plums and natural nudes. They are all really nice colours, nothing too bright or offensive and they all look like they would blend nicely with different skin tones. I have shade 4 which i would describe as a dusk pink colour and I think this works really nicely with my blond hair. There is no brush with the blusher but hey what do you expect for £1! I've got plenty of other makeup brushes I can use so its not a problem. I take my brush and sweep it across the palette twice or so and then brush over the apple of my cheeks a few times. The look I get is really nice. My cheeks have a soft dusty glow to them and they look really natural and sweet looking. The powder lasts for quite a while and overall I am very pleased with this blusher.
