~ MUA Extreme Metallics Quad Eyeshadow ~
As I said in my previous post I tend to stock up on MUA products when I pass a Superdrug store since my local one closed. I did buy this going back some time last year but I recently bought another one, a different colour this time as I have been really impressed by how good the colours are in the set.
This Eyeshadow costs £3 which I think is a great price. I have bought similar styles from Avon for more than double that price and I think the MUA one performs better.
It is available in six different colour ways, these are ~
Starstruck - Autumnal colours
Smokin - Greys/black
Glammed Up - Bronze/grey
Go getter - Browns
Show stopper - Gold/navy
Celebrity - Pinks/navy/purple
I already owned the Smokin which is a quad of white, grey, charcoal and black. And I recently bought Show Stopper which is gold, bronze, grey and navy.
The Smokin is brilliant for doing the dark smokey eye effect as the colours are all there for you in one palette.
What I particularly like is that colours don't all blend together despite being in one package. They come set in stripes and whilst you can blend them if you want to by coming down inbetween the two colours they don't just all smudge. My white is still white which I think is really good. I must have owned it for around a year now, if not a little longer, it's been bashed around in my makeup case and is all still in one piece.
The packaging is just a small plastic square with a window in the top lid allowing you to see the colours. The lid is hinged and really secure.
I like these, they are metallic but not too over powering and you can get away with using them in the day. The more you build the colour the more sparkle and shine they seem to have.
Cheap and cheerful!

A few months ago I saw a promotion on facebook where the MUA website was having 50% off orders over a certain amount and so I decided to treat myself and my sister to some new make up bits and pieces. One of the items that I bought for both of us was the extreme metallic quad and this is my review of it.
The extreme metallic quad comes in a simple square packaging which looks quite trendy and cool as it is black with a chunky rim around the clear plastic through which you can see the eye shadow quad. The MUA name is printed on the packaging as well as the extreme metallics name. The whole packaging is nice and does not look as though it is a budget range product and I would be happy to carry it around with me for nights out and such like.
There are six different quads to be able to choose from and these are available online and on the MUA website was well. I have the black shades quad and a brown one too and I use them both regularly. The quads cost £3.00 and for me this is an excellent price to pay for four eyeshadows in one. You can't really buy a single eyeshadow for this price on the high street!
The eyeshadow quad comes in one solid block but which has four stripes if you will of the different shades. I have found with eye shadow quads or trios that I have had in the past like this tend to smudge in to each other but with this there is none of that and it is quite remarkable! If I want to blend the colours myself I can run my brush down the middle of two colours but otherwise they just don't run in to each other at all which is brilliant!
Obviously being an eye shadow quad the colours match and compliment each other well. The black quad that I have features a really dark black, a silver, a grey and a white strip and so it is perfect for creating dark, smoky eyes which I tend to favour on a night out. I find that the eye shadow clings pretty well to the brush when I apply it and it goes on to the eye lid really well. Sometimes particles drop off on to my cheek, especially from the black one, but this happens no matter what brand of eye shadow I use! I find these eye shadow quads to be really effective and they have a great pigmentation. You can also choose to apply this eye shadow wet but this isn't something that I have chosen to do personally.
I find that the eye shadow lasts well on my eyes and will last me all night for a night out or all day at work. I do find that I have to spend quite a lot of time building layers and colour on my eyes but I think this is down to my own personal preference for quite intense eyes. As I said the colour goes on really well to the eye lid and I like the results when I have used either of the quads that I own.
I would recommend the MUA extreme metallic quad eye shadows and I think the price is absolutely brilliant for the quality of the product you are getting.
Thank you for reading my review!
