Advantages: A beautiful range of neutral eye shadows which are incredibly pigmented
Disadvantages: None
I bought this palette after watching someone on youtube talk about its similarity to the Urban Decay 'Naked' palette, which was a beautiful palette of neutral eye colours which I had purchased previously. I love my Urban Decay palette, but it retails for around £35 pounds and at just £4 in Superdrug, the MUA palette was another great option which meant that if I used up the Naked palette I didn't have to outlay another chunk of money as I could use my MUA palette.
The MUA brand, which stands for make up academy, is sold in Superdrug and is a very affordable range of makeup which sells a wide range of different products. One of the products which stands out the most from the line, in my opinion, are their eyeshadow palettes. They retail at very low prices, between £4-£8, with the 'Heaven and Earth' palette retailing for £4.
The palette contains 12 different neutral shadows, including some light champagne colours, some mid tone and darker browns, as well as some golds and taupe colours. The palette is very similar in tone and theme to the Urban Decay palette, which was a great start, but my concern was whether the shadows would stand up to the same quality levels as the Urban Decay shadows. Luckily, the answer was yes! The colours in the MUA palette are all very well pigmented and when applied with an eyeshadow primer underneath, they all last a long time, meaning I can wear them all day with either minimal or no touch ups at all! The shadows blend well and you can create many simple or smoky intense looks with this palette. It really does stand up well in comparison to the Urban Decay palette, the shadows from MUA are a little less creamy and soft, which means they can need a little more work to blend overall, but I think they still blend very well!
Overall I am really happy with this palette and would definitely purchase shadows from MUA again and would recommend that anyone who loves neutral eye looks should check out this palette.
5/5 for MUA
Summary: A great afffordable palette for neutral eye looks!
