~ MUA False Eyelashes - Vixen ~
I have been a huge fan of the MUA brand since I first spotted it in my local Superdrug, but since that closed down, I have been making do with the odd online order at www.muastore.co.uk and stocking up when I come across a Superdrug store when out and about.
I ordered these lashes a few months back, they have a choice of 5 different designs and I chose two, one pair being these Vixen lashes and the other being Flair. These Vixen ones are more dramatic and the Flair have a more natural look. The others available are ~
I have just noticed that they are currently on sale for £1 a pair rather than the usual £2 so get them now if you want them!
These Vixen lashes are thick and dark, and make for a nice but dramatic look, ideal for a night out, which is what I wanted them for.
Compared to other similar shaped lashes I find these really light to wear, they don't make your eyelids feel droopy and heavy and they are actually really comfortable.
They come in a nice black and silver package which also contains a small tube of eyelash glue. These are also re-usable, all you need to do is peel off the dried glue carefully and maybe give them a quick wipe over.
These lashes do not look natural, they have a glossy sheen to them but for me this wasn't a problem at all.
I really like them and would recommend them highly.
Thanks for reading x
I have always loved experimenting with different make up looks and making that extra bit of effort now and then just because I feel like pampering and treating myself, who doesn't right.
I found it a bit difficult to regularly treat myself with little bits and pieces due to trying to keep to a very strict budget and had to stop investing in items such as false eyelashes as I was previously spending approximately £4 for a pair that I loved but could no longer afford.
As soon as MUA released their lashes a couple of months after I discovered their range; I snapped some up straight away since they were £2 and were affordable enough to at least give them a try.
I ordered mine from their online store and muastore.co.uk with a couple of other essentials and at this point, hadn't actually seen them in person (i.e. in store) so I could see what they looked like so I was judging them by the pictures from the site, bit of a lucky dip really as sometimes products differ from photos from time to time.
They were thinner than they looked in the photo admittedly, however I was very, very pleasantly surprised once I put them on and the glue had set, they were identical to the ones I used to buy, but so much lighter. They didn't make my eyes feel heavy or tired and were so natural looking but made my lashes so long.
I have previously experienced issues with lashes and wearing glasses; certain pairs are so long and thick that I can't wear my specs because they end up being folded over against the lens, but with these ones I am actually able to wear both - so I can have beautiful eyes and improved vision and not sacrifice one for the other.
For £2 they really are worth the money however the only downfall in my opinion was the eyelash glue, I found it to be quite weak and watery and didn't stick the lashes as well as I'd like so I did have a helping hand from some eyelash glue that I previously had purchased on ebay for 99p. Don't get me wrong though, the glue does work - I think I'm a bit picky with how thick the glue is and how tacky it becomes, this one is clear so there's no white residue to worry about and you don't need to worry if you're a bit fiddly with sticking them on and getting glue everywhere as you won't be able to see it once it's dry.
There are a number of other false eye lashes to choose from at MUA, at either muastore.co.uk or online or in store at superdrug, however Vixen lashes are my favourite as they look the thickest and fullest.
