Like most girls, I think even the smallest of beauty treatments make a big difference to how you look and feel. I love getting my nails done whether at a salon or done by myself, and a French manicure is my favourite as it looks natural and clean. Unfortunately when you attempt a French manicure yourself, you never seem to get a salon finish! However, I came across this little kit when I was in Asda recently and noticed it had a white pen rather than your usual bottle with brush for applying the white tip. I thought I would give it ago and I was amazed at the results.
The pen has a hard, square tip at the end which makes it easier to get a nice even line and finish. The liquid doesn't come out fast either, so you can control your application a lot easier than you can if you are using a brush. I found you used less white polish than you would if it was from a bottle and applied with a brush and it gave a more natural results. In this kit, you also get a bottle of natural and clear polish both which are applied using a brush.
First of all, you apply the natural colour to each nail. A thin amount is sufficient as it goes along way and you don't want to have too fake a look. Once dried, you apply the sticky white stencils if you wish to your nail so you can get a nice round edged effect on your nail where the white tip meets the middle of your nail. Once you have applied the stencils, you then pain your tips white with the pen which is so simple and less messier! Once the tips have dried, apply a thin coating of the clear polish and that's you finished with brilliant results!
I did my nails on Sunday and so far they haven't chipped so I assume they last around a week before you need to touch them up again. As the polish lasts around a week at a time and you don't need to apply to much per coat, the kit should last you a long time.
Nailene also have other products such as fake nails, nail art kits, acrylic and gel kits which you can try out in the comfort of your own home. This kit cost me around £8.00 which is excellent value for money considering how long it will last and the fact you can pay around £30.00 for one salon treatment.
