Nails inc Albert bridge
I wanted a clear nail polish for the summer and be because I have liked the nails inc products in the past decided to give this one a go
The nail polish is available from department stores and chemists and also online from the nails inc website, www.nailsinc.com. It costs £8 but Nails Inc often have offers especially if you subscribe to the website as I do.
The polish is sold as a top coat but no indication of this fact is found on the bottle, it was only after purchase that i looked on the internet and saw this.Albert Bridge top coat is apparently chip preventative and leaves nails with a high shine, professional finish.
The nail polish comes in the usual nail polish type bottle and contains 10 ml of the stuff. There is nothing else on the bottle, no instructions or information just alone drawing of fingers. I suppose there is an assumption that people know how to apply nail polish!
When I unscrew the silver lid, I find that the brush, like the other brushes on the Nails Inc polishes, is quite thin. This surprisingly doesn't hinder the application of the product but rather means that I can apply it neatly and with the suggested three strokes to the nail. When I lift the brush out of the bottle it comes out nicely laden with the nail polish and so application is easy and fuss free. Because it is completely clear however, mistakes aren't as easily seen, but any of the polish which goes onto my skin doesn't irritate or cause any adverse reactions.
The polish itself smells like and is the consistency of other nail polishes. I like the smell of nail polish so I am more than happy with this. It is, as promised, very quick drying and seems to be completely dry in less than five minutes which is great if I am in a hurry because even clear nail polish looks bad if smudged.
When applied, and although it is colourless, the polish does leave my nails looking glossy and whilst not obvious that I have nail polish on my nails, I can definitely see that my nails look more shiny than they do without polish. I have also used it as an extra strengthener for my nails and used it as a base coat and top coat, and this seems to work quite well.
It is easily removed using my usual nail polish remover but again because its clear I'm really not sure if I have taken it all off, but just have to take it as a given.
This is an easy to apply clear nail polish which is easy to apply and seems to strengthen my nails and make them less likely to snap or split. I tend to apply two coats and then remove it after a few days with a conditioning nail polish remover, because even with clear polish I think you can tell when it starts to chip and come away at the edges.
A recommended product for anyone wanting a clear nail polish. The only thing that lets it down is that, like most of the Nails Inc products, it is quite pricey. It does however last a long time and certainly does what it says it will do.
Thanks for reading
