This is a review of the Nails Inc nail polish colour Blenheim Terrace which is described as a classic navy nail polish on the gift set it came in this Christmas (and nothing like the picture above!). I have an extensive Nails Inc collection and love most of them but I knew when I swept this colour on for the first time that I had found a new favourite. Packaging The Nails Inc bottles are 10ml (full sized) and have a silver top with a built in brush. You can see the colour of the polish through the clear glass body of the bottle. I first thought this was black when I got the set but realised it was a very dark blue when I took a closer look. In use The polish goes on really thickly and after one coat (on top of a clear base to protect the nail from staining) I was very impressed with the coverage and the shiny wet look polish. It was a really dark inky blue black colour and one I was very pleased with. I noticed on a couple of nails there were a few bits not quite opaque and a little see through so I applied another coat for perfection. Finishing off the manicure with Nails inc Caviar top coat I had the dream vampy glossy nails that look like a gel finish to me. As with all dark colours you have to be careful when applying and I did have to touch up a couple of areas where I smudged it on my skin and it was a bit difficult to shift when wet without staining the skin but I got there eventually. My thoughts I do love this colour and think it might be the best blue I have tried across all brands. One thing that has confused me though, in researching this Nails Inc product is that they seem to have named a pink colour 'Blenheim Terrace' in the past which is a bit disappointing that they are recycling the names, surely London has enough streets and places to not need to do this? It is also interesting that this polish is not listed on the Nails Inc website which is surprising as it came in a gift set this Christmas. There are, however 16 shades of blue nail varnish on the Nails Inc website to choose from, none of which are this one! Perhaps it is limited edition as I know they sometimes design sets with the polishes only available to QVC shoppers so maybe this is like that apart from I know my husband bought this set 'The Runway Collection Winter 2012' from Debenhams. Price The entire set of 6 full sized shades, a mini top coat and a nail file cost around £35 but typically Nails Inc polishes retail at £11 each unless you spot them at a bargain price on QVC or sometimes you can find the sets in TK MAXX. Final word I think I have found a new favourite shade amongst the Nails Inc Collection! The inky black blue colour is perfect for a winter look and looks fab on short and long nails. My nails feel so strong with this manicure and it has lasted three days before it began to show signs of wear. I did make a few mistakes with the polish when applying but this is not unusual for me with the darker shades. Thank goodness for quick drying top coats as I was able to use my hands within five minutes of finishing the manicure. I like the way this goes on really thickly and the coverage you want is immediately there. Highly recommended... if you can find it. This is definitely one shade I will look to replace once this bottle is depleted.
