I first tried this nail varnish as a freebie in a magazine and it has since become my favourite everyday nail polish. I don't really wear coloured nail varnish on my hands very often (unlike my toes) as I find it chips easily and looks messy within a few days, so for me a colour like Elizabeth Street is the perfect solution. The colour is advertised as a delicate nude cream, although I find it has more of a light pink tone and it can be used as part of French manicure or on its own. It comes in a glass bottle with a silver top and the Nails Inc logo printed on it and an internal applicator brush like most nail varnishes. On applying the nail varnish is has a good consistency and is not too thin or runny. It dries quickly which is helpful. You can use it in different ways to create different effects. One coat gives an almost clear and sheer colour with a slight pink tint and two or more costs make the colour more intense and pink. The effect is that it makes your nails look very fresh and pretty with a natural look. I have found the nail varnish to be long wearing and chip resistant and with a good top coat the colour can last for ages before you need to take it off and reapply it. It is expensive at £11 for 10ml but you can often buy it in department stores or on the Nail Inc website as part of a gift set with other shades which reduces the price. Overall I would recommend this nail varnish as a great every day product to protect your nails with the minimum of fuss. This review might also be posted on Ciao under my username Star20000
Nails Inc nail polish Colour- Elizabeth Street I first tried Nails Inc nail polish at one of their nail bars when I was stuck waiting on a friend that was running very late, so I decided to treat myself to a little pampering and have a professional add some life to my rather dull nails. Ever since then I have been a huge fan and I do own quite a few different shades of Nails Inc nail polish. I find the nail polish to be long wearing, chip resistant and with a good top coat the colour can last for ages before you need to take it off and reapply it. Also I love that Nails Inc have a huge selection of colours available. Although I own quite a few different shades of Nails Inc nail polish my all time absolute favourite has to be the Elizabeth Street shade. It is a lovely very light, ever so slightly pearl pink colour. It's what I would describe as an all round basic neutral shade with just enough of a hint of colour to make your nails look that bit extra special. It goes on quite subtlety and so matches more or less all the day time and night time outfits that I own. The colour is really one of the most versatile that I use and I wear it all the time, and all throughout the year. It is one colour that I will no doubt be buying again when the last little bit of my bottle runs out. As with nearly all the nail polishes I have tried the nail brush is attached to the lid, the brush is pretty basic. But then what more would you want? The nail polish is very easy to apply and with the Elizabeth Street shade you don't really require a base coat because the colour is so light it has never stained my nails. However, I would recommend using a good quality top coat because that can and will make a huge difference. In my experience if I am in a rush and just apply a couple of coats of the polish it will last a few days looking perfect (depending on of course what you are doing with your hands) but that time of looking perfect can almost be doubled with a good top coat that can stop as many chips and cracks from appearing. Now for the downside, it is expensive. There is no getting around the fact that Nails Inc nail polishes are expensive and usually retail for around £11 for a typical sized bottle. Yes, I think that the nail polish is probably over priced but the quality and choice of colours keeps me going back to Nails Inc. I also love the gift packs they do and I have often added a few Nails Inc polishes into gift baskets because they are a luxury item that does last and comes in so many nice shades that there will be something to suit everyone. Recommended? Yes, absolutely. Nails Inc nail polish does deliver quality even though they may be a tad over priced and although I like all the colours I own I don't love them all. However, the Elizabeth Street shade is one that I do love and I wear over and over again. It's just an all round great basic colour that goes on well, stays and looks great for most occasions, especially if you want something pretty and elegant but more on the subtle side. Even with the rather expensive price tag I do think that Nails Inc and in particular the Elizabeth street shade deserves a full five out of five stars.
WHAT IS IT? A pale pink nail varnish from Nails Inc. HOW DO YOU USE IT? Apply to clean manicured nails in three strokes, one down the centre of the nail and one on either side. Allow to dry and apply a further one or two coats. WHAT I THINK I buy many Nails Inc nail varnishes because they are superb quality and have a very wide variety of shades, I use them myself and on my clients and feel proud to offer this brand. Elizabeth Street is a pale pink that is a neutral shade, it is good for creating a French manicure because of the very feminine shade. This nail varnish dries quite quickly but it is thick in texture so does not dry as fast as thinner nail varnishes. I think each coat takes about 2 1/2 minutes to dry. The brush is short and that makes it very easy to apply neatly because I can be precise with every stroke and obtain a tidy finish at the edges of my nails. I always apply 3 coats of this nail varnish because then the pink colour is deep but it does not make it darker so it is still the pale feminine colour. This nail varnish does not chip very easily but when it does it is very easy to dab a bit of extra nail varnish on and that gets it looking brand new again. It takes quite a long time to remove because the varnish is such good quality and thick, I use a high quality nail varnish remover and all Nails Inc varnishes take longer than other brands of nail varnish. ANYTHING ELSE I got this nail varnish free with a womans magazine but it is usually £5 on Ebay. There are a lot of other Nails Inc nail varnishes available so if this one looks a bit too pale for you then you should look at others in the collection. 5 Dooyoo Stars.
Nails Inc are a premium nail care brand, with their products stocked in departments stores, some large Boots stores and on QVC. According to their website, Nails inc provides the ultimate in affordable luxury and is famous for its innovative, catwalk inspired, professional products which are formulated with the latest professional technologies. All of Nails Inc's products are named after areas of London, and my review focuses on the light pink shade; Elizabeth St. This has an RRP of £11 for 10ml of varnish. The bottle of the nail varnish looks classy and expensive, with a silver lid and a plain bottle branded with Nails Inc's motif and the name of the product. The applicator brush is slightly thinner than some cheaper brands, which helps stop messy applications. The varnish is easy to apply, gliding onto the nails without dragging or creasing. It dries quickly, within minutes to reveal an even cover. I saw the marketing director talking recently on QVC about Nails Inc products, she stated that the formulation is designed to even out onto the nails helping prevent ridges - it does this well! One coat on bare nails looks very natural, providing only a slight translucent, pinky tint to the nail. It simply makes the nails look healthier, this look would be ideal for French manicures and weddings. Two coats intensifies the nude look more, but the nails still look translucent. In actual fact, I had to paint my nails 4 times to achieve an opaque, nude colour which was uniform - nevertheless, it still look nice without looking like it had been over-applied. I have used Elizabeth St before (a different bottle) around 5 years ago and I am sure that this product has been reformulated as it appears thinner and it takes more applications to achieve an opaque coverage. When as many coats as desired have been applied, the nail varnish looks glossy and remains chip free for around 4 days. Thankfully due to the colour, it is less obvious when a bit of varnish does come off! Removing the varnish is effortless, even with 4 coats! The nude colour also prevent staining on the nails which is a bonus. Overall, I like the diversity of this colour, it can be worn as a natural nails or it can be built up for a more nude look, which is on-trend at the moment. If £11 makes you squirm, then QVC regularly have sets of Nails Inc varnishes, where you can usually pick this up at a cheaper rate.
