This is a review of Nails Inc Jermyn Street Soft Taupe Nail Polish. I am on my second bottle of this particular colour now so it must be working well for me! I am a big sucker for Nails Inc poish, as I think I have mentioned before, although its expensive, it goes on best and stays on longest for me.

Description
Jermyn Street is described as a soft taupe but I think it's a very wearable dark natural colour. Without sounding weird, it's like a dark foundation colour and a neutral colour that I never get bored of. It goes with everything so won't cause wardrobe worries either.

Packaging
As with all Nails Inc varnish, you get the glass pot which shows the colour through and the silver lid which has a brush attached inside.

In use
I always start with a good file and prep of the nails, make sure they are clean of old nail varnish and then I use the Nails Inc Caviar Base coat which is a misted pink colour but goes on quite clear. It nourishes the nail and protects it and I think it helps prolong the life of the colour. Next up one coat of Jermyn Street gives adequate colour so I rarely use two coats. Once dry, I add the Caviar top coat which is also fast drying so I don't have to sit around waiting for my nails to dry. The final touch is nail oil to nourish the nail bed and gloss up that varnish. I get a really wet look from most Nails Inc polishes and Jermyn Street is included in that with a shiny bit of help from the top coat. I tend to find 3-4 days is the maximum wear I get from most colours before I get chip or end of nail wear then the lot has to come off as I can't stand tatty nails.

My thoughts
I really like this colour as it quite neutral but smartens up nails and covers any imperfections. I like to wear nail varnish as I think it helps keep my nails protected although I do regularly remove it and have a few days in between with bare nails.

Price and availability
Nails Inc Polish retails at £11 a bottle and this sounds quite expensive. If you check their counters at seasonal times they often have sets which offer better value for money.

Final word
Jermyn Street is a favourite 'go to' polish if I have an important event or a job interview and I want to look smart but not 'look at me' with bright colours. I use this colour a lot and like that it is a mature and shiny neat finish. I would recommend this colour as a good staple for your varnish collection and would add that it is a very high quality and consistent product. You can't go wrong with Jermyn Street.

Summary: A nice neutral colour
