I have been a part time painter of my own nails for many years now. I have never really established a pattern to my nail painting, or who I buy the varnish from etc. I have always just popped into tesco and bought which ever brand had a colour that jumped out at me. This all changed when I came across nails inc.

I would never have bought a nails inc varnish without trying it first. Its too much of a financial investment for something I hadn't seen working. Nail varnishes are around £11 depending on whether you buy them individually or in a set and how popular the colour is.

A few years ago I was at the airport about to go on holiday when I came across Glamour magazine in the news agents with a free nail varnish. I bought the magazine with the nail varnish in two colours, a deep red and a naturalish pinky colour.

As soon as I tried the nail varnish I was smitten. I can honestly say I have never tried a better nail varnish. The nail varnish painted on smoothly and easily and gave thick even coverage, although with the darker shades you definitely need two coats to give a more even colour coat.

The nail varnish lasts a fair amount of time and doesn't chip too easily. The only downside is the cost (although the cost is more than made up for in quality). Another slight downside is that you need to allow quite a lot of time for your nail varnish to dry as the covering is quite thick and therefore takes a while to dry if you want to perfect finish.

Summary: Worth investing in a few staple colours.
