I love to paint my nails on both my hands and feet but I don't like to wear nail polishes that look too bright and flashy for work. The colour I am in love with at the moment is Porchester Square by Nails Inc and I got this for £4.99 from TK Maxx. It normally retails for double that amount, as this range doe snot come cheap, but if you have ever used a Nails Inc colour then you will know why they are worth the cost. They are great on so many levels.
This 10ml bottle is such a great colour, it is fairly neutral so it goes with anything and it is suitable for both day time and evening wear. I would describe it as a glossy deep beige mushroom looking polish. I use one coat (very occasionally two) as it is thick and dries quickly on the nails.
It is very simple and easy to get a good coverage with just the one coat as the colour is dense and also the brush is very finely shaped and contoured, which allows you to get right to the edges without smudging over the sides and onto the skin.
Thsi polish lasts me almost a full week and as I do a lot of keyboard using at work, I find this really very impressive. The polish is very easy to remove with ordinary nail polish remover and it does not stain the nails at all. It is glossy and glamorous looking and I simply love it.
This nail polish is a very beautiful glossy and sophisticated shade that is perfect for work or anybody looking for a modern romantic style. At £11 this product is reasonably priced compared to other brands as it has good chip resistance (especially when used with a top and base coat) and is pretty opaque with just one coat. It's not a particularly thick or thin formula so its easy not apply without being messy, however I did find it a little bit streaky, not a perfectly smooth finish which shows a little through the top coat. Despite this this polish was a life saver for me, when I worked at L.K.Bennet my appearance included my nails had to be perfect. Redoing my nails every night due to chips was very annoying so a good polish like this helped to reduce how often I needed to paint them. The colour also had to be muted and neutral so this was perfect for me as it is very unique and it got a lot of compliments from staff and customers.
I love Nails Inc nails polish and their range is very extensive. I was looking for a new colour to wear to work and picked this out in Boots, you can get a 10ml bottle for £11 (May 2013). The nail polish comes in a clear glass bottle so you can see the colour and it has a plastic silver screw top lid, underneath is attached the application brush.
The brush is quite small, but has a lot of thick bristles that allow you to apply the polish in one stroke, if you have small nails, as I do, the brush holds the nail polish well and this allows for even coverage of the nail.
The colour is described as a muted mushroom colour that has a glossy finish. I find that two coats give me a great depth of colour and that the nail polish tends to last for around 4-5 days before it needs either touching up or removing. To remove the nail polish I just use a supermarket own brand of nail polish remover and a bit of cotton wool, the colour comes off well and does not stain my fingers, though I always wear a base coat to help protect my nails.
Overall I would recommend this nails polish to others as it is a great muted colour that you can wear to work and it also looks good in casual wear, such as jeans. It is good quality, lasts well, removes easily and although is a little expensive, it is worth paying for due to its quality.
This is a review of a Nails Inc polish I received in a set this Christmas called 'Porchester Square' which is a light creamy beige colour. It is stickered as being one of their 'hero' shades which means it is a best selling line. I recall seeing this being demonstrated on QVC and that it was really well liked on the show.
This shade is quite neutral but looks a little bit boring in the bottle so is probably not a shade I would individually buy but I am always pleased to try out a new shade which is why I love receiving these sets at Christmas. I have got some other similar shades by Nails Inc and I do find myself using them a lot when I want to protect my nails with a light shade but not one that is all out vampy (which is my usual favourite!).
I use this colour after a base coat to protect my nails and found it was a nice cream glossy finish. I kept it on for a couple of days then refreshed the manicure with a glitter top coat (3d on by Nails Inc) which totally changed the look of my nails and I loved the combination. The nail varnish removes easily but takes a bit of scrubbing with the glitter top coat which is to be expected.
Individually, these nail polishes cost £11 which is quite expensive but the unit price is lowered when it's part of a gift set. I got the Runway Collection at Christmas which included this shade. At the moment new visitors to the Nails Inc site are given 20% discount from purchases so it's worth a look if you want to buy their wares.
Porchester Square is a really easy shade to wear and it instantly neatens up your hands. It's great for work or understated nails and if your nail are a bit stained it's a good cover up. I find it lasts an extra day due to the shade not showing up chips as much as a dark colour does. It is expensive but it is lovely to use and looks so wet and glossy I will wear this shade lots in the future.
