I have always wanted to try a product from the Nails inc range, as i have heard such good reviews on their products, but after trying this one i honestly do not know what all the fuss is about. I picked this colour as i love pink nail varnishes and thought it would be a perfect addition to my collection. I am a huge fan of the colour, its a really nice bright pink but still very subtle at the same time. It has a nice consistency so one coat is more than enough to give a good colour. You can apply more than one coat if you want a stronger colour, but i think one coat is sufficient. I seem to subconsciously pick away at my nail varnish during the day which is such an annoying habit as it does not look great when it is chipped. I would not say it is any harder to chip off than any other nail varnish i have had. I thought it would last longer than it did but in fact i found it lasted the same amount of time as any other nail varnish i have bought in the past, I think price wise its a bit expensive for what it offers in the way it does not last longer or offer anything more than other nail varnishes in the market at a cheaper price. I will be trying nail incs specialist nail varnish's such as the concrete, feather and leather effect nail varnishes and hopefully i will have more luck. Overall if i was buy just a coloured nail varnish i will probably not come back to nail inc as i felt it was expensive in comparison to other makes. I did like the colour but there are lots of similar ones on the market.
I love nail varnish and if you have read my reviews before you will be more than aware how many colours etc I try out and use. I rarely pay a lot for them; I get deals and bargains either online or in shops etc as opposed to spending fortunes on them. I was a rather lucky lady for my birthday and was treated to a hamper full of rather delicious make up items from my lovely husband to be. Included in the hamper was two bottles of nails inc London nail varnish. Holland Park was one and Piccadilly Circus the other. I have since found out that these cost around £11 each and I have told him off for spending so much money, but inside I was totally chuffed as I would never have spent that on a bottle of nail polish. That said, the colours were amazing, Holland Park is a deep, rich purple and Piccadilly Circus is a dark cerise pink. The bottles are only small and the lid is about as long as the rest of the bottle, the lid is a very shiny silver and the bottle is clear glass so the amazing colours shine out. Nails inc. is written across the front in silver letters which is the same colour as the lid. The whole bottle does have the wow factor, even though it is similar to many other brands in size and shape etc, I had never heard of the brand before but it does stand out as being a very good brand. I naturally tried the Holland Park out first and was not disappointed in any way. The polish was thick and gorgeous and even though it smelt the same as every other polish I have ever tried, the whole feel of it was somehow different. The brush is normal size but because of the thick consistency, it goes on and covers very well. One coat is more than enough and on most nails it literally only takes 2/3 wipes with the brush to cover each nail. The shine on the finished nail is great and the sheen and coverage is second to none. The smoothness is something I have not had from any other nail polish before or since. It doesn't need a top coat either which is amazing. Another way you can tell it is a better make is by the durability of it, normal nail varnishes give you a few days before the chips start and that is if you are lucky. Nails inc. was still going after 7 days and not a chip in sight. When it comes to removing it, this is slightly harder and you need a good nail polish remover to get the job done, the reason it doesn't chip or peel is because it welds itself to your nail and doesn't want to let go for anything. I love both of my nail polishes and as much as I would love to get more, I still won't pay £11 for it. It is worth the money, as it is an amazing nail polish but I am going to wait to get lucky on my birthday again.
Nails Inc nail polish - Shoreditch hot pink I first tried Nails Inc nail polish a couple of years ago at one of their nail bars in Glasgow city centre when I was stuck waiting on a friend that was running very late. At the time I decided to treat myself to a little pampering and have a professional add some life to my rather dull nails not realising that I would form a long lasting love affair with Nails Inc nail polish. Ever since then I have been a huge fan and I do own quite a few different shades of Nails Inc nail polish. In general I find the nail polish to be long wearing, chip resistant and with a good top coat the colour can and does last for ages before you need to take it off and reapply it. Also I love that Nails Inc have a huge selection of modern, funky and classic colours available. Although I own quite a few different shades of Nails Inc nail polish one of my favourite strong and bold colours has to be the Shoreditch shade, which from the image above you can see is a lovely bright and very noticeable hot pink. The nail polish goes on quite strongly even with one coat, but you really do get the best results with two or more coats. Now for a slight word of warning, you really do need to apply a base coat before the Shoreditch polish otherwise you will risk staining your nails when it comes time to remove the nail polish. But then that is true of most strong coloured nail varnish. The colour is really one of the most fun (because who doesn't love hot pink?) that I use and I wear it all the time, and all throughout the year. I especially like the Shoreditch shade painted on my toes during the summer when the colour really stands out when wearing flip flops. It is one colour that I will no doubt be buying again when the last little bit of my bottle runs out, but I do find that the Nails Inc nail polish does last for quite a while. As with nearly all the nail polishes I have tried the nail brush is attached to the lid, the brush is pretty basic. But then what more would you want? The nail polish is very easy to apply and doesn't take long to dry. However, I would recommend using a good quality top coat because in my opinion that can and will make a huge difference to how long your nails look beautifully finished. In my experience if I am in a rush and just apply a couple of coats of the polish it will last a few days looking perfect (depending on of course what you are doing with your hands) but that time of looking perfect can almost be doubled with a good top coat that can stop as many chips and cracks from appearing. Now for the major downside of this and more or less all of the Nails Inc nail polish, it is expensive. There is no getting around the fact that Nails Inc nail polishes are all expensive and usually retail for around £11 for a typical sized bottle (11 ml). Yes, I think that the nail polish is probably over priced but the quality and choice of colours keeps me going back to Nails Inc. I also love the gift packs they do and I have often added a few Nails Inc polishes into my home made gift baskets because they are a luxury item that does last and comes in so many nice shades that there will be something to suit everyone. If you do fancy this nail polish it is possible to sometimes pick certain colours up on Amazon or other beauty sites for slightly cheaper. Would I recommend Nails Inc Shoreditch nail polish? Yes, absolutely yes. Nails Inc nail polish does deliver great quality even though they may be a tad over priced. The Shoreditch nail polish is lots of fun and the funky hot pink colour will brighten up any outfit, while being a colour that goes on well, stays and looks great for most occasions that you want something a bit bolder. Even with the rather expensive price tag I still do think that Nails Inc and in particular the Shoreditch shade deserves a full five out of five stars from me.
I received this varnish free with a magazine around 12 months ago. This is a brighter colour than I would normally wear as I tend to to stick to dark or red shades - but I thought I would try something new! Shoreditch is one of Nails Inc's best sellers, it is a bright pink shade, very apt for barbie or girly girls! Nails Inc products are formulated with the latest professional technologies offering salon quality products. Nails Inc products, including Shoreditch can be purchased online from Nails Inc, Harvey Nichols, Debenhams and some Boots stores. This varnish has an RRP of £11 for 10ml. The varnish has a standard consistency, it is not too thin or thick, so it ensures easy application to the nails. A small wipe of the brush is needed prior to application, but generally, the brush loads up the right amount of varnish. The varnish glides along the nail without dragging or streaking, leaving a smooth, even coat of varnish on the nail. The varnish dries within minutes on the nail, and two coats of Shoreditch provides an opaque finish. The colour on the nail is identical to that in the bottle, a strong, vibrant pink. The varnish provides a high gloss finish, even without a top coat. The varnish lasts for around 4 days without chipping - this is elongated when worn with a good topcoat. Removing this varnish is effortless, and the colour does not stain my nails yellow. Overall this is a lovely, bright pink which is perfect for summer. It is so easy to apply and it last well on the nails. The only downside is the RRP, but I can't complain about that as I only paid £2!! I will have to remove a star for the price.
