After hearing so many raving reviews about Nars blushes I finally decided to pick one up online. Nars itself is a highly renowned make-up brand so I was sure from purchase what i was getting would be high quality. The blushes come in 24 different shades so it doesn't matter what your skin tone is you'll be able to find the perfect shade. Whether it's a in your face hot pink or a subtle peach. Pretty much all of there shades have shimmer in them but I feel this actually enhances the look. The shade I picked out is called 'Deep Throat' which is a peach pink with shimmer, this is similar to the colour 'Orgasm' except it's less intense.
First of all the blush comes in a neat small compact which has a handy mirror inside. I loved this as it made touch ups throughout the day so much easier. You get 4.8g worth of product and this so far has lasted me 4 months and I can't even see the panel yet. The best thing about this blush is that it is SO pigmented. The colour clearly shows up and you only need one swipe with a blusher brush. Having tried out the other Nars blushes they all are very pigmented so it doesn't matter what shade you get. I apply the blush to the apple's of my cheeks and honestly it make my face look so much more healthy and glowy. It really does make a washed out face look amazing.
The Nars blushes cost 20.50 pounds each and I know this may sound super expensive but trust me they are worth it. They will last longer and frankly look so much better than any other blush out there in my opinion. If you're someone who loves blush or just make-up in general then I highly recommend this product.
I am a red head with pale skin and freckles. After a sweep of foundation, I frequently look a wee bit washed out, but add an orgasm ;-) and I look a lot better.
I first bought the Nars orgasm blusher eight years ago. It was packaged with the orgasm lip gloss and called the multiple orgasm. I couldn't resist the cheeky name and so bought the packet. The lip gloss was a bit of a sickly sweet colour and I looked like a child who had raided her mother's make up bag back in the 1980s.
But the blusher was AMAZING! I just use it on the apples of my cheeks and suddenyl I look glowy and healthy and (dare I say it) a little sexy. The shimmer in the blusher adds radiance, but not is a glittery way. I use this blusher every day. I can wear it at work, or put a wee bit more on and I am ready for a night out.
Without a doubt, this is my desert island product. Not cheap, but lasts for absolutely ages and you look so good, it is worth the money!
I recently bought a trio pallette which contained the best selling blush from Nars, called 'Orgasm'. This colour is a pinky coral with gold shimmer running through it. The blush has won the 'InStyle Best Beauty Award 2011', so it is clear I am not the only person who is fond of this blush!
Individually this blush retails at £20.50 which is very expensive for a blush, however if you feel like treating yourself I would highly recommend this shade. The blush is very pigmented and so a little goes a long way. Although I mentioned it had gold shimmer to it, this is not overpowering and blends nicely onto the skin to give more of a subtle glow rather then a glittery mess! The powder is incredibly soft and is easy to apply in little time, so it is good for the get up and go mornings where you don't have time to endlessly blend out your blusher. I apply this with an angled blush brush and find that it gives a good finish. I find that this product generally lasts most of the day, I have noticed it is still on at the end of a work day, however it does fade so you may wish to touch it up if going out after work etc.
In general the Nars blushes are well recommended online and I am eager to try more shades, although the price point means they will be treats for me rather then everyday items. There are a total of twenty four shades in the range, going from light pink to oranges and more bronze colours. The full range can be viewed on www.narscosmetics.co.uk and the products can be bought either online or in Space NK. If you cannot get to a counter to see the products for yourself, I would recommend looking for video reviews on youtube as you may get a better idea of the colour then you would from the swatches on the Nars website.
The packaging for these blushes is also great, the product comes in sturdy sleek black packaging, with the word Nars written on the top of the pallette. The top of the pallette is popped up revealing the blush. This is a good product to throw in your bag as the packaging is tuff enough to take a few bumps!
Overall, although the price is steep for these blushes, I do think they are well worth it. I would definitely recommend these for the occasional treat product. I give 4/5!

My friend got me a "Love Set" from Nars for my birthday, which had the Nars Blush "Orgasm" in it along with a matte lip pencil and a lip gloss.
I had never worn blush before as I tend to naturally blush to a bright red colour that I try to hide as well as I can under a good foundation. So I was really pleased with the attention but was a bit reluctant to try it on, and I didn't even know how to apply it.
My friend told me she would apply it for me on my cheeks, to show me that it would look good on me, with my fair complexion and dark hair. And, surprisingly enough, it did! I was amazed at how it lifted my complexion with the light pink-gold colour, without looking too colourful on the cheeks. It really gives a sheer glow that looks pretty natural - lighter than the shade you see when you open the compact.
It doesn't look heavy as you can blend it very easily so you don't have this patch of powder that you can have with other blushes. It is a very good blush, not that I can compare with hundreds of blushes, but I know I will stick with this one, as I like the texture and the colour.
If you have fair skin like I do, you will probably like this shade as it really looks good.
* Nars Blush is a must *
On a recent trip to London I went into Selfridges to pick one of these up as I had been wanting one for a long time and while on holiday why not!! Nars blush are so pigmented and a little bit goes along way. They come in a big range of colours from corals to pinks to bronze. As I have only one I will talk about that one.
* The packing *
The packaging of this blush is very sleek. It comes in a smooth little black boz and has nars written on the top and it clips open and shut. On the inside it has a little plastic sleeve to keep the blush looking nice and that says nars on it too. on one side there is the product and the other is a mirror , which if you don't keep the sleeve over the brush gets very powdery and can't use. On the back it has the label with what's in it. and the name. This is a powder blush.
* directions use * Opinions *
I use a stippling brush to put this on so I sweep the brush over and dust over my checks. The colour pay off on this blush is very strong so just use a little. The one I picked up is called Angelica which is a pretty sparkly pink. if you don't want glitter on your face then I don't recommend this shade. The blush does last all day on your face and it doesn't feel to powdery.
*Price ? *
OK so this is bit expensive , It set me back £26 and you get 24m of product but I have to say I think it's totally worth it as it does last long time and I don't use it every day. This is a high quality make-up so I feel it's worth spending the extra money on.
* Recommend ?*
Yes it makes my checks look really nice and the colours in this range are so pretty , there is something for everyone. I think if you don't mind the price then you should treat your self as there are such good quality.
hope this was helpful.
I've only used this blush a few times but I am in love with it! This is a great natural color on my neutral fair-light skin. The glitter isn't visible as glitter on the skin at all, just a bit of sheen/shimmer, very natural. The color is the perfect balance between peach and pink. It is a very smooth consistency and pigmented. You barley need any on your brush to achieve the right color intensity but it is buildable.
This will probably last a very very long time making the price not too bad. The packaging is super chic yet because of the rubbery coating any dirt/powder stays on it. It can be easily wiped off but otherwise it will look a bit dingy. The mirror is perfect and big, I use it when I'm on the go to check myself. I have true mirror compacts but this is much more convenient, it also manages not to get powdery.
The only real con about this is that it is pricey at £20. You can buy this at John Lewis and Selfridges. I will definitely be buying more colors of this!
I own Nars Blush in the shade, Orgasm. This is a shade used by many celebrities and make-up artists, which I think is a pretty good reccomendation!
It is a little pricey, but as I always say, eBay is the best place to find bargain make-up. Besides, the quality is noticeably superior to that of high street brand blusher.
The blush comes in a compact with a mirror, perfect for putting in your bag for touch ups. This is one of my favourite products from an aesthetic point of view, as it looks so elegant and expensive.
The shade is a pinky peach, which actually works well on just about any skin tone. I am very pale skinned, and this shade gives me a healthy glow.
The product is a velvety powder that brushes on without streaks. Only one or two strokes of the brush over the cheeks is enough, depending on how heavy you wear your make-up.
All in all, it's a long-lasting, great quality product in a lovely shade.
Probably the best known blush in existence is Nars Blush in the shade Orgasm. Nars has always been a popular brand for blusher but they sky rocketed in terms of popularity after J-Lo said that she liked and used them on the Jared Leto show and mentioned the shade Orgasm in particular as what she wore. After that, sales of that one colour went through the roof and they flew off the shelves. So I decided to see what all the fuss is about and I went up to Selfridges as it is only available in the high-end department stores.
It comes in a small matt black container which snaps shut with a nice clunk and has a well-sized mirror in the lid which is a rarity with blushers. Nars is written in white text on the lid in that distinctive bunched up writing. The fact that it is matt sometimes makes it look a bit dirty but I like the packaging nonetheless. The only other problem I have had with this is that it has once cracked on one side and fragmented after I dropped it. The palette is a generous size so it is easy to sweep your brush over it and pick up colour without having to brush it several times. It is also well pigmented which means fewer sweeps per application.
The blush itself is a warm peach colour with a slight gold shimmer to it. I find about three sweeps on each cheek working up and outwards works well. I think it gives a lovely warm glow and am glad it has that shimmer in it as it really brightens up the complexion especially when seen in the sunlight. This is a great colour and will flatter pretty much any skin tone in my opinion.
This product has won Sephora's Best Blush Award in 2006, 2007 and 2008 so it must be doing something right. I personally feel I suit pink blushes more so don't use this that often but it is a nice blush and I may get another one in a pink shade but I also think there are a lot of equally good blushes for a lot less price-wise as these don't come cheap at £18.50.
The packaging is very subtle, the blusher comes in a flat black compact which includes a little mirror (which is very handy because 9 out of 10 times I forget to take mine with me!). It fits into your handbag/makeup bag easily-less bulky like their competitor MAC which has an almost bubble like container. They are soft, sheer, pressed powder blushes made with transparent pigments for a soft and sheer look..
The great thing about NARS blushers are that they are very blendable, lightweight, and have amazing colour payoff. A little goes a long way. Also because they are very blendable, even if you are quite heavy-handed it is very difficult to acheive that "over application" horrible "clown look" with these products (let's face it girls, we've made that mistake once or twice havn't we?! Embarrassing!).
I must warn you that some of these blushers have X-Rated names! I have Nars Orgasm (coral with light shimmer) which is my FAVOURITE, Deep Throat (darker pink with gold reflectors), Nico (natural skintone, very light, no shimmer) and Madly (bronze colour with shimmer).
Nars Orgasm is a fantastic product and works with virtually any skintone (in my opinion!). It has won "The best of Sephora" (a popular American Cosmetic retailer) for the past 5 years! The blush is a perfect pinky-peach colour with subtle highlights with accents of golden shimmer. Yum! It is a beauty editor/makeup artist's favourite, and it's easy to see why!
They are priced at £18.00 for 0.16oz. They are versitile and can be worn alone or layered together for more depth and intensity! MAC blushers can be hit or miss but Nars blushers always hit the spot!
Can be bought from premium cosmetic outlets in UK, or directly from http://www.narscosmetics.co.uk. I reccommend to buy from places such as Harrods/Selfridges/John Lewis because if you buy from their website postage is £ 6.00 and tax is £ 3.13!!!!!! What a rip off ladies!!
For as long as I can remember I've heard people rave about Nars blushes (Orgasm in particular!) so I had to take the plunge and try them out for myself and I'm so glad I did. I can honestly say that they are some of the best blushes I have ever used.
They have a wide variety of shades for you to choose from, all with equally interesting sounding names, which, lets face it is half the fun in picking out your blush! Whatever colour you are after I am sure you will find the perfect shade for you.
I love the packaging of the product as it's so slim and compact, but still manages to contain a great deal of product. It's the perfect size to carry around with you every day. The lid flips up on a hinge revealing a mirror so you can easily apply it as you're on the move. The actual outer packaging is very durable.. I'm not actually sure what it's made of, but it feels a bit rubbery rather than entirely plastic which makes it feel a lot less likely to shatter if you were to drop it (which I do.. a lot).
The blush itself comes in powder form, but unlike most powder blushes I find that you get very little excess residue around the edge and outside of the product. I feel that this is one of the reasons it is so easy to achieve a very subtle colour as you can easily control the amount of powder that your brush picks up. If you prefer a more intense look you can achieve this by layering on the product a few times as it blends into your skin easily and doesn't take on that caked on look like a lot of other blushers do.
Out of all the blushes I have ever tried, the staying power with NARS is far superior. I can go out and not have to worry about having to re-apply through the day as the colour rarely seems to fade or rub off my skin as the day goes on.
The only downside is the price as it's quite expensive at £18.50, but all in all I would say that they are completely worth every!
Nars blushes can be bought for £18.50 and are available at House of Fraser in their shops and online website, on hqhair.com and narscosmetics.co.uk.
The first time I ever heard of Nars, was through reviewers online raving about how awesome they are, especially the orgasm blush as most people appeared to be favouring this one above all the rest. I just had to find out what all the fuss was about and try out one of these blushes myself.
Their blushes are formulated to suit most people and compliment most skin tones. The formulation is soft, smooth, applies and blends like a dream.
The blush comes in pressed powder form, in a black compact with a mirror in the top half of the lid and the has the Nars logo written on the compact, which makes the packaging look sleek and sophisticated.
I love how the colour applies and feels light on my skin. It is buildable and blends really nicely and most importantly; doesn't cling or collect on any dry skin patches, unlike some other blushes and powders.
One thing I would have to say however, is that this blush is one of the priciest ones I've ever bought but seen as it's so nice and just looks awesome on, it was worth it.
In my quest for the perfect blush, the Nars Blush is the last one I tried. I've not tried a different one since, which as someone who is incapable of sticking to one makeup brand should indicate quite how highly I rate this product!
Having tried the more trendy and modern liquid and cream blushes, I had regarded Nars's powder blushes as pretty old fashioned. However, everyone I spoke to raved about them so I was convinced to give them a try. The most famous Nars blush is Orgasm - a soft peachy pink tone which is supposed to suit everyone and which is lauded in beauty magazines time and time again. Personally I'm not a massive fan of the Orgasm shade as it's a bit to shimmery for me and I prefer something a bit more matte. My preferred shade from Nars is Desire - an almost neon pink, totally matte with a slight hint of mauve. Although I would normally expect any blush with blue tones to be suited to cooler skin tones, this works really well on my warm olive skin.
The blush comes in a small slimline black compact with a small mirror in the lid. So far so ordinary. But it's what's inside this little beauty that really makes this worth buying. The powder is very fine but very solid - you only need to apply the teeniest amount as it's so highly pigmented - no scraping the brush against the powder! Because it's so fine, you can start applying really subtley and build up to the colour you want - not normally possible with other powders I've used. One sweep of this colour though should be enough for one cheek. It also manages to last all day - definitely a first for a powder! I don't find that particles become loosened as you use this, you don't end up with a residue around the edge of the compact as I've found with other blushes - all of the particles that are loosened end up right on the brush or they stay put. Not sure how Nars have managed to achieve this but I'm pretty impressed!
I asbsolutely love the colour of this - shamelessly girly with an almost retro feel about it, perfect for recreating a 40s or 50s look. The colour looks pretty scary in the compact - it really couldn't be pinker! But when applied just over the apples of the cheeks it gives you a flushed look of "just got in from the cold" and really brings me to life!
Nars blushes are one of the most expensive powder blushes I've seen - at £18.50 each from www.hqhair.com they're certainly not cheap. However, I've now found my holy grail of blushes and I will be sticking with this one! I use this every day and because you use so little I really don't see me having to buy another for at least 3 years - I've had it a year already and there is barely any gone at all, it's the neverending blusher!
NARS orgasm blush has got to be one of the most talked about and hyped products on the market. NARS orgasm is marketed as a universally flattering blusher, with its shimmering peachy pink tones, this of which it definately lives up to its expectations. it is really smooth and easy to apply with no blothyness or stray pigment where you dont want it, it is quite heavily pigmented so its best to apply it in a stippling motion to avoid over applicatation and then blend in. this blusher has excellect staying power even for oily skin and the colour stays true throughout the day. NARS orgasm blush gives a pinky flush to your cheeks and the goldy shimmer makes you look glowing and healthy without being overpowering or making your face appear shiny. Overall this is a fantastic product which i beleive lives up to its expectations and worth every single penny.
I have tried the majority of blushes around and I always find myself going back to Nars orgasm. It makes my skin look stunning. It doesnt look to heavy on yet it seems to last all day. I would definately recommend it. Isome times just wear it alone or on top of foundation. All my friends use it as well and love it. The only down fall is the price. It is a little bit more pricey than some others. in saying that you pay for quality.
With names such as 'Sin', 'Zen', 'Sex' and 'Orgasm' every lady wants to get their buffed hands on a blusher created by top make-up artist Francois Nars. The texture of the powder is extremely light yet stays and never looks caked. Two of the best colours are 'Orgasm' and 'Sin'. Orgasm is so popular with the fashionista since it suits everyone-no joke. It gives the appearence of a very healthy, radiant glow hence the name. The tiny gold particles in the blush reflect light and give you cheekbones to die for. 'Sin' is more appropriate for the evening and is slightly pinkier but still has the gold particles in it. The blusher needs applying only once a day and can be reapplied for a more dramatic look. I usually prefer to wear cream blush in the summer but since these are so light I will be wearing these as well. A fantastic effect can be created if you mix 'Orgasm' with their famous multiple 'Palm Beach'. Not only are the colours divine but the black rubbery packaging really completes the luxury of this product. Apart from cream blush, this is the only powder I will be seen with.
