Advantages: Shimmer

Disadvantages: Very pricey

Probably the best known blush in existence is Nars Blush in the shade Orgasm. Nars has always been a popular brand for blusher but they sky rocketed in terms of popularity after J-Lo said that she liked and used them on the Jared Leto show and mentioned the shade Orgasm in particular as what she wore. After that, sales of that one colour went through the roof and they flew off the shelves. So I decided to see what all the fuss is about and I went up to Selfridges as it is only available in the high-end department stores.

It comes in a small matt black container which snaps shut with a nice clunk and has a well-sized mirror in the lid which is a rarity with blushers. Nars is written in white text on the lid in that distinctive bunched up writing. The fact that it is matt sometimes makes it look a bit dirty but I like the packaging nonetheless. The only other problem I have had with this is that it has once cracked on one side and fragmented after I dropped it. The palette is a generous size so it is easy to sweep your brush over it and pick up colour without having to brush it several times. It is also well pigmented which means fewer sweeps per application.

The blush itself is a warm peach colour with a slight gold shimmer to it. I find about three sweeps on each cheek working up and outwards works well. I think it gives a lovely warm glow and am glad it has that shimmer in it as it really brightens up the complexion especially when seen in the sunlight. This is a great colour and will flatter pretty much any skin tone in my opinion.

This product has won Sephora's Best Blush Award in 2006, 2007 and 2008 so it must be doing something right. I personally feel I suit pink blushes more so don't use this that often but it is a nice blush and I may get another one in a pink shade but I also think there are a lot of equally good blushes for a lot less price-wise as these don't come cheap at £18.50.

Summary: Yes it's good but is it £18.50 good? I don't know
