A lovely tinted moisturiser which leaves the skin looking healthy and radiant

While I have been known to go a little OTT on the eye make up, I don't like looking like I have a lot of make up on my skin, especially when I'm in work. That being said, I'm not quite brave enough to go bare faced and so I invested in a Tinted Moisturiser. The one I chose was the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser by Nars.

      What does the product do?
The product promises to look like your own skin, only better! It claims that it will give your face tranluscent colour while also working to reduce the appearance of pigmentation and dark spots too. It contains natural ingredient to hydrate thirsty skin including mineral rich sea water.

It has an oil free formula which is great for the greasy faced people like me and it contains no artificial fragrances so it's great for sensitive skin too. Another benefit is that it contains SPF 30 which will make it great for holidays. The product promises to leave you with softer, smoother and brighter skin.

      Varieties
The product comes in 9 different shades which isn't a lot for a skin product but because the product is translucent, it shouldn't matter as much. The shades are named after places around the world such as the Seychelles, Cuba and Alaska and the shades represent the way your skin would look if you spent a week in that place. I chose Finland, the palest shade.

How do you use the product?
The product needs to be applied to skin that is clean and dry. As this is a moisturiser, you technically don't need to use anything before this, other than maybe a primer. You apply the cream to the face using either your fingers or a make up brush and then blend the product into the skin taking extra care around the jaw line and the hair line. You can then finish off with bronzers, mattifying powders etc.

      Packaging and Price
The product comes contained within a black plastic tube with Nars written on the front in white capital letters. The foundation has a flip top lid which means you can easily open and close it. The product is easy to dispense and as long as you're gentle with the bottle, you can control the amount that comes out. The product doesn't come cheap and it will cost you around £27. It can be bought from big department stores such as John Lewis and also from a variety of online websites.

      Application and Performance
The product looks like proper foundation when you dispense it from the bottle. It has a thick consistency and it dark in colour. I chose the lightest shade but it's still a bit too dark and yellowy for my skin but the less you use, the more sheer it goes. You really don't need to use much of the product in order to get the desired results so this works well for me.

As a mosituriser, it is moisturising enough for my skin. It removes feeling of tightness and makes my skin feel soft and smooth. It hydrates the dry areas without making the oily areas greasy but I don't think this would be moistursing enough for those with dry skin and I don't know if I'm wearing enough of the product in order to properly hydrate my skin. I do find myself sneaking on some of my usual moisturiser before using this because I'm scared of not properly hydrating my face.

The coverage of this product is good enough to moderately cover imperfections while still looking completely natural and being able to see your skin underneath. The finish does have a slight sheen to it which I cover with mattifying powder just because I don't like the shiny look. It makes your complexion look radiant and healthy and it hasn't caused me any discomfort or made me develop any blemishes. The product is long lasting and will still be in place at the end of a long day in work. It is easily removed using my usual make up remover.

      Conclusion
All in all, this is a good product for those who want a quick two in one product to speed up the morning process. It is hydrating but maybe not so enough for drier skins. The finish is lovely, it gives sheer coverage and it has long lasting results. It makes my skin feel soft and look radiant and healthy. The range of colours aren't going to suit everyone so it's a shame that they haven't invented more. If you can find a shade to suit you and your skin isn't too dry already then this is a lovely product for you.
