Advantages: lasts ages, gives unusually subtle red colour , very thick

Disadvantages: extremely thick!

Well, you can never have too many lipglosses.....and you can never write too many reviws about lipglosses!

As a waitress (a pretty bad one at that!), i always set aside my tips to spend on something that i totally do not need, and that is pure indulgance- more often than not, a lipgloss. Before i bought my Nars lipgloss, i searched around Boots, Selfridges and Space Nk, trying on lipglosses from Anna Sui, Bobbi Brown, Stila, MAC, Hard Candy, Too Faced, and loads more, but found that they were all either really translucent and had barely any colour, or they were too opaue with too many bits of glitter in them (or i already had them!). This is what made me buy the Nars one. I chose a reddy/orange one called 'babe' which sounds horrible and christina aguliera-ish, but on its quite translucent and more cameron diaz (i hope!). The texture is very, VERY thick, so if you prefer yours natural and a bit runny, or if you're not used to wearing heavy lipgloss (and hence the hair stuck to your face everytime you move your head effect) then you probably won't like this. And if you're looking for a really natural everyday 'i'm not wearing any makeup' kind of sheen, then again this ain't for you. But, If you want something for going out to the pub or going out clubbing (or cocktail party or whatever non-students get up to!) then this is perfect. Orange sounds gross for a lipgloss, particularly for pale skin (like me) but as its translucent, when you put it on it just makes your lips look redder and glossier, and its particularly good for pale skin, because i find that glosses that are red to start off with end up making my lips look too dark and my face really pale.
Other wonderfull things :o) about the lipgloss are, ofcourse the stylish matt black rubbery plastic, the fact that the gloss comes out on an applicator wand, hence minimum wastage and no goo on fingers, and the fact that the gloss stays put for a very very long time (mos
tly because its so thick).
On the downside, at 15 pounds its not very cheap, but it will last you longer than your average 10 pound lipgloss, so ain't too bad. And also, its not very easy to apply, being so thick, its hard to spread the gloss evenly on lips, and i would say a mirror is almost essential when applying it.
Overall i would say, worth buying for a night-time lipgloss, it looks stunning, both on the lips and in the tube!

If it lasts so long, how come everytime I see you with it, you are reapplying it ten times a night? (I live with her) Lancome Juicy tube rules!!!

Fascinating! A very entertaining read.
Paris is not too expensive. I don't really have a flat. I stayed in a cheap room in cite university, some kind of student hostel. It was hot and had mosquitoes.
