Natural Collection is a make-up brand that reminds me of being a teenager and browsing the cosmetics counters in Boots. It is a cheaper brand that Boots do and it is aimed at a younger audience than their No.7 range. I bought this Natural Collection cover up stick a while back to help cover dark circles under my eyes and any spots and blemishes that I might get. ~ Price and availability ~ This concealer is available in Boots stores or online from www.boots.com. It costs £1.99 for 8ml which I think is very reasonable. ~ Packaging ~ The concealer comes in a cylindrical tube similar to that of a lipgloss. The tube is clear so that you can see the product through it. I bought my cover up stick in 'fair' as I have fair skin and this was their lightest shade. The tube has the Natural Collection logo on the front and on the back in small black lettering it says, 'CoverUp Cream Soft, shine-free concealer to cover spots, blemishes and under-eye shadows'. The lid of the tube is white and twists off to reveal a sponge tip applicator, also similar to that of a lipgloss. The tube is a fairly simple design. ~ Use ~ On the first application of this concealer I was surprised by its consistency. I expected it to be a lot thinner than it actually is. While I wouldn't say it was a thick as a foundation, it certainly isn't watery thin. It is easy to apply. I just use the sponge tip applicator to dot it onto my face and then rub it in using my fingertips. It is a nice consistency so it does not go cakey like a foundation might, but it does still give you good coverage and gives your skin a smooth, even flawless look. I mainly use it to hide dark circles under my eyes and I find that it reduces the appearance of dark circles, but does not completely hide them, but I don't think there's a product out there that does completely rid the appearance of dark circles without appearing too cakey or heavy on your skin. I have used this concealer on spots before and while it doesn't really hide them, it reduces the appearance of spots and covers any redness. I have been more impressed with this concealer than I expected to be. ~ Overall ~ Overall I think this concealer can't be knocked for the price. It reduces the appearance of dark circles and spots and gives a smooth flawless finish without appearing cakey at all.
I use concealer on a daily basis to hide dark circles under my eyes, as well as to cover up any spots and blemishes. I usually use a concealer stick, but I found that in winter it was too drying for my skin. Because of this, I decided to try out a cream concealer instead during the colder months. I quite like the Natural Collection range considering the price of the products, so I decided to pick up their cover up cream and see how I got on. If I'm honest, the main thing which attracted me to this concealer was its tiny price tag. This cost only £1.99 which is extremely cheap when compared to other brands. As far as price is concerned, this meets everyone's budget! Natural Collection is an own brand of Boots, therefore is only available to purchase through them either in store on online on their website. The concealer comes as shown in the image, and I think it looks very similar to the Natural Collection lipglosses. The design is pretty basic and nothing spectacular, but this is expected for the price paid. Rather than being in a stick form, this concealer is more a cream consistency. To use, you simply have to unscrew the lid which turns into an applicator and apply to dark circles, blemishes and spots. The liquid is quite creamy, and not too runny. This makes application really easy, especially in comparison to a concealer stick as the texture of this makes it easy to blend in. I purchased this in the 'fair' shade as I have quite a light skin tone. The colour is nice and very natural. I have found cheap concealers in the past to be quite orangey in the tones but this is a really nice, natural shade. When applying this, I like to dab with the applicator over areas such as dark circles and blemishes. I then use my finger tip to blend in the concealer and even out any patchiness. Although very simple and easy to use, I was not impressed with the results at all. I only use concealer really to touch up areas of my skin, and I don't rely on it. I did not find that this concealer made much of a difference to blemishes, spots or to my under eye dark circles. It made a very slight difference, but I found that it disappeared within minutes. It was as if the concealer just slipped straight off my face. It was fairly useful as an eyeshadow primer, but as a concealer I did not find it very effective at all. It hides really small blemishes, but did nothing for red patches or dark under eye circles. Another thing to fault this concealer on is the range of shades available - or lack of should I say. There is only two shades and these are 'fair' and 'medium'. I use the fair shade, and although I have a light skin tone, I am not completely pale. I feel that the shade choices do not cater for those with really light skin, nor those with really dark skin which is not very good. Overall, I was quite disappointed with this cover up cream from Natural Collection. Due to the price paid, I was not expecting miracles but this is just a really ineffective concealer which I would encourage you to avoid. I would definitely recommend paying a little more and going for a more respectable brand. This is okay for those with fairly good skin that just want to hide the smallest of blemishes. However, if like me you suffer from the odd breakout and have some dark under eye circles, I would definitely invest in something better than this concealer. Unfortunately, due to it not being effective or long lasting, I am only going to rate this cover up cream two stars as I feel this accurately represents its effectiveness. Thanks for reading and hope this helps.
"Natural collection" is Boots own brand which basically means it's really cheap and exclusive to Boots. I usually try to avoid cheap skin care products because when you buy cheap you usually get cheap however I was in desperate need of some form of concealer and had very limited amount of money but I also had some money on my points card. This costs less than £5 it's about £3 and they at the time had an offer on 3 for 2 on natural collection so I ended up buying some blusher as well as some powder so I think I got this one free. There were a row of shades so they did vary a lot and they appeared to be more neutral tones rather than outrageous oranges you usually see, I liked this because it made it seem as if the concealer would be very subtle. I got the lightest shade. When applying this it has a really creamy texture to it and the application brush on the end of the stick is really soft. I applied this to my cheeks, a dab on my nose, chin and forehead. It did take the dicolouration from the middle of my nose away and when applied enough times and let it set this covered my forehead too however on my cheeks it formed an orange line around my problem area and still let the red patches shine through it. After applying my foundation my cheeks looked a little dry where the concealer was supposed to be which didn't impress me, so I applied some over the top of my foundation with my brush and this didn't look too bad but still let a lot of flaws shine through.
I purchased this concealer a week ago using my Advantage Card points. The product costs £1.99 and is available in different shades to suit your skin type. I chose the "Fair" shade as my skin is naturally rather pale and this one looked the closest to my skin tone. The concealer comes in a tube complete with a "wand" which you use to apply the concealer. The concealer is a light beige colour and it has a creamy consistency. I find the applicator to be similar to the ones that you get in a lip gloss tube, except that you apply this to your face! The concealer works well to cover up spots and/ or blemishes. It's easy to apply and the wand is comfortable to use. I find that the concealer lasts most of the day, although it may need a top up later on in the day. I wasn't expecting a miracle for the price but it's a great value product. It doesn't irritate my skin, it doesn't clog my pores and it doesn't dry out my skin - Perfect! The concealer can also be used to cover up dark circles. It doesn't damage the eye area, in fact it feels really nice on the eye area and it helps to wake up tired eyes. The concealer lasts ages too as just a small amount gives good coverage. Overall I am very impressed with this. It's a handy size too and the packaging is simple yet effective. The wand manages to pick up just the right amount of concealer without going overboard. There is no "caking" effect with this either. Great value concealer from Boots.
This cover up cream is available in two shades, fair and medium. I opted for the medium one, after being advised that it is best to pick a concealer which is slightly lighter than your skin. The shade looked considerably lighter than my skin tone, however, when I tried it on my hand, it blended in very well, so I would definitely suggest using the testers to see. The product blends well into skin when applied, which means I often use this product alone without applying foundation on top. It is a great solution to cover up spots when you're not wearing make up. The sponge applicator allows you to see exactly how much of the cream you're applying, and for you to apply precisely where you want, before blending in with your fingers. I've found this product conceals redness from spots well, and lasts well during the day providing you don't keep rubbing the areas you have applied to. This product doesn't work as well in covering up dark circles under the eyes or blemished patches of skin, so I would suggest a different product if that is what you're looking to cover up, but for the odd spot, this product works well. I also like how light it is, and doesn't feel as if it's worsening any spot problems I have had.
HMMM where do I start? I bought from from boots (obviously haha) a year ago and I think it got used two or three times. BAH! I liked the look of it, and what with naturals in the name it gives you a feel that you aren't putting rubbish onto your face. I was averagely pleased with it the first couple of times it did its job but only lasted around two hours before disappearing somewhere! After a week I had used it three times and went to use it again to find it had gone all sticky, NOT what I was after. I thought it might have been because it was a warm day so put it in the fridge LOL. Next morning I took it out and it WAS a lot better and even lasted longer when I put it on, though it still didnt give me the all day coverage that I longed for so I discontinued use and went in search of another brand instead. BOOHOO
I often search for new concealers and search for better coverage. Natural Collection is Boots own brand designer for those with a cheaper budget but does the job its supposed to. Boots say: Natural collection cover-up cream is an easy to blend cream concealer to cover spots, blemishes and under-eye shadows. Fragrance free, Dermalogically tested. This comes in either fair or medium, in store in Boots they currently have an offer on all Natural Collection products 3 for £5 however on the Boots website it is 4 for £5 so you can really grab yourself a bargain as these are all about £1.99. I have this is fair, I have found that this doesn't provide very good coverage and does just smudge around your face and is shiny, if this is applied before putting foundation on. If you moisturize, apply your foundation, and then using the foundation brush get a small bit of concealer on the brush and apply to the problem areas which blends in so well, then apply your normal powders afterward and this does work wonders.
This concealer is from a brand exclusive to boots and retails for £1.99. Usually Boots have a promotion for this brand which means you can get 3 products for £5 but right now Boots are offering 4 for £5. This concealer is packaged in the same convenient doe-foot applicator tube that the Natural Collection Lip Glosses are sold. For £1.99 you get 8ml of product, which if used non-stop would easily last you 3-4 months. Unfortunately the colour range of this brand is limited,Fair and Medium, therefore if you have olive or darker skin, there won't be a shade for you. This concealer has a light-medium coverage which is best for under the eys but can also cover fainter blemishes. It dries quickly once it has been applied but once blended, you will be left with a non cakey matte finish. In saying this, if too much of this concealer is applied; it will look cakey. Because of the matte finish, setting the concealer can be hard. The concealer will averagely last for 2-3 hours and will require 'touching up'. I also find that this concealer will oxidise and will develop a slight orange tinge. Overall If you need a cheap concealer for light under eye bags then this will cover but it it isn't for heavy duty concealing.
I'd like to think I'm past the worst of my days with bad skin, I have a relatively blemish free complexion but I am prone to the occasional breakout. I have a few different concealers at home, and to be honest the Natural Collection at Boots isn't usually something I buy from apart from the occasional product. However, when I was in Blackpool last August and I noticed a couple of spots, I didn't have any concealer with me and my normal foundation wasn't doing a very good job of covering up. If I'm honest it was the price that swayed it for me, the Concealer Cream was only £1.99, and knowing I had plenty of other concealers at home it seemed silly to spend any more. I managed to buy the concealer with my advantage points which is always a bonus when it comes to Boots. Initially the Concealer Cream looks very much like a lip gloss; it's packaged in a small clear plastic tube with the Natural Collection logo. The lid is white and screws on/ off and also holds the application wand, again very similar to a lip gloss brush, I think it might actually be the same one they use in their lip glosses. The packaging is very simple but with a cheap product I don't mind this as I can appreciate that they've spent their money on what's inside the tube. The Concealer Cream is quite thick and well... creamy, there are four options when it comes to the shade of concealer, I chose a medium shade and it suited my skin tone very well. The concealer is simply dabbed onto the desired area and then I like to blend it in with my finger which is very easily done. The concealer covers well, especially redness I have found, and it does last for a few hours before you need to reapply. I have found after about 4 hours the concealer seems to go a darker orangey colour, I'm not sure if this is because it's dried completely but it's not on, I have the lightest of the medium shades and it still went orange which is disappointing. I wouldn't say Natural Collection Cream Concealer is perfect if you suffer from a lot of spots but if it's just the occasional outbreak you're looking to cover up then it's very good. It does go a bit orange but it just needs touching up, it's very cheap and covers very well so it gets a thumbs up from me.
I bought this concealer for £1.99 (from Boots) a few months ago in an attempt to save a little money on my beauty products, my usual concealer costs a lot more than this so I was unsure as to how well this would work in comparison. The concealer comes in a chunky tube, the type of tube that lip glosses usually come in. Unscrewing the lid, you will see that it also uses the same applicator that lip glosses do. I find that I have to wipe some concealer off back into the pot as too much comes out to use straight away. You can then apply wherever it's needed. I tend to use it under my eyes as I have quite prominent dark circles, I'll also use it when I get a spot every now and again. I tend to wipe a small amount under my eyes then use my finger to even it out as it would take ages to get a nice finish just using the wand. I quite like using this type of tube for my concealer as it is a handy size, the brush is quick and easy to use. It is also possible to put unwanted product back in the tube; I thus have no worries of squeezing too hard and wasting any, as you could with a bottle or squeezy type tube. The concealer itself is very soft and creamy; it is a liquid concealer and is quite runny compared to some other concealers but I quite like this as it is easier to apply and to get a nice finish with. I tend to wipe some on, then dab it in lightly with my finger - you can probably do it other ways but I find that this works perfectly so I don't tend to mess around with it as I sometimes have to with other products. You have a choice of two colours, medium and fair. I went for fair as I am quite pale at the moment. I found that it is a good colour match, not quite the same shade as my skin, although this doesn't matter to me as I always wear foundation over it anyway. I think that it is a similar shade to most other 'fair' concealers and is not an obviously 'warm' or 'cool' shade so should blend well with most skin types. I find the concealer quick and easy to use; the concealer lasts for most of the day, which I am quite impressed with, and it makes a nice base for my foundation. So, a great all-rounder at a great price; I would definitely recommend this concealer and will award it... 5 stars!
I am always after a bargain, and when I saw the other day Boots was having a sale on Natural Collection make up all for one pound each. My current concealer, the very expensive Yves St Laurent, Touche Eclat, was running out. If I could replace it with a much cheaper product it would be a huge bonus! Natural collection concealer comes in two shades, medium and fair. I bought the fair as I have paler skin, and the shade was just right. The product comes in a plastic container with a screw on and off white lid. The container is clear so you can see the product inside. The packaging is simple and basic, and neither inattractive or attractive. The white lid screws off to give a thin stick, which has a spongey cotton bud type top. You apply the concealer using the cotton bud type top. The bud is soft and feels nice on the skin. The concealer has an even consistency, although I did find it dried out towards the end and got a bit lumpy. The concealer was OK at covering my blemishes. Once I had put it on it gave me some coverage, but not an amazing one and it faded off quite quickly. If you re-apply it often enough you can keep on top of it, but it is a bit difficult when you have foundation on over the top. The concealer didn't irritate my skin or make it sore in any way, which is good as my skin gets dried out very easily. The concealer was good, for £1, but it wasn;t amazing and I certainly owuldn't pay any more for it. If you are on a budget though it is worth buying.
I don't tend to bother with makeup very often (out of laziness more than anything),but having had ridiculously dark circles under my eyes for as long as I can remember, concealer is something of an essential.I've tried everything from cheap stick concealers to the more expensive creams, but Boots Natural Collection Cover Up Cream is by far the most effective one I've found. I'm not sure what the current price for this is,as I've had the same tube for over a year now. That's one big advantage,it does last a very long time. Also,it's very easy to spread around your skin- I find a lot of cream-based cosmetics just stay in one place which is annoying, but this is very good. The only downside I can think of is that the number of shades is very limited. Not a problem for me- the "Fair" colour fits me better than any other concealer I've ever tried. But the colours are very light,so unfortunately not very suitable for those with darker skin.Although who knows,if they get enough positive feedback there may well be more shades added to the range soon!
I am saving up the pennies for my birthday bash at the moment, so am turning to cheaper alternatives, which is what this is as it is cover up concealer cream at a bargain price! It is BOOTS NATURAL COLLECTION and is therefore exclusive to Boots and everything in tis range is under £2 and this item cost £1.99, which is 4 boots advantage acrd points. I think it came in 3 different shades, of light, medium and dark dependant on your skin shade, I personally got the medium. It is a cream style concealer, which is not one that I would normally go for but I decided to give it ago. It looks almost exactly the same as the lip glosses they sell, yet when it comes to use it is slightly more runnier, yet still quite thick. To apply it does feel quite gloopy, however I think this is partly due to the fact I am use to wear a much lighter concealer. It was also quite oily and did make my skin look shiny. It did manage to blend in well with my foundation and skin tone though to hide / cover up any blemishes or spots. It looked natural as it was easy to blend in with the lip gloss like brush and due to being more of a cream was easy to rub in without being too harsh. However I did find that it felt quite heavy and thick in some places, especially around the eye area which I didn't like as it made me feel like my eyelids and my lower eye were heavy and made me feel tired. Overall I think it is a nice idea with the lip gloss like brush to blend in, however due to it being quite a thick cream I just find it a little too heavy to wear.
Natural Collection Cover Up Cream I bought this yesterday from boots in Manchester and the main reason I got it was because they were having a 3 for £5 offer on all of the natural collection make up (not the bath and body products) and I got two of their pressed powder foundations and I got this too. There were only two shades to chose from which were fair and medium. I chose fair, which is a light beige colour (the one on the left pictured I think) and I thought that it would look really orange or really obvious on my skin, as other concealers I have used in the past have looked really obvious on my skin and really orange too, which is not a good look - unless you want to look tangoed). It comes in a clear tube so you can see the actual colour of the product and it has a kind of lip gloss/liquid eyeshadow application brush, which is quite big - if the applicator was a bit smaller it would be better as it would be more precise and I would not have to blend the product in as much. The fair colour is a really good match for my skin but if you have really really fair skin or darker skin complexions then these will not work as the fair is actually quite dark and it would not really help really fair skin tones. It has a nice thick consistency which means that it does not run off the applicator brush and go every where. It is also really easy to apply and blend, I prefer to blend it with my finger as it blends easier this way. But you could use a concealer brush too. I have used it under my eyes and it works really well there - it gives light/medium coverage so it does not cover up the dark circles completely but it does reduce their appearance. It also works really well on spots. It is also fragrance free and dermatologically tested and it does not irritate my sensitive skin. I bought it from boots and it was on the 3 things for £5 offer which is really good. But on its own it is only £1.99, so you can't go wrong really and it is really good for the price. And you only need a small amount of the concealer so it will probably last me ages too. conclusions Good points *Nice simple packaging *easy to apply *Easy to blend *Cover my dark circles and blemishes *Good thick consistency - does not go everywhere *you only need a small amount of the product so it will last me ages *Very very cheap - 3 for £5 or £1.99 on its own! Bad points *Only comes in two skin tone shades www.boots.com Thank you for reading my review
From time to time, when my purse is at its lightest and my bank's not at its happiest and I'm in need of another make up fix I will buy from Boots Natural Collection and be reminded of how good this range actually is. IT really is such good value, with lipsticks, foundations, concealers, blushers, nail varnishes (I'm sure the list could go on!) all for around the £2 mark. Value? Yes, yes and yes. So recently when the dreaded black bags surfaced from underneath my eyes I needed a quick fix and had no concealer to help! I rushed out to Boots to see what they were offering for very little money but with good results, I was expecting to come back empty handed, but after checking out the Natural Collection products I was thrilled! I managed to pick up a concealer (the liquid type with the applicator stick- I think they also do the lipstick shaped concealer but I find this style too dry generally..) Alongside this purchase I also picked up a foundation and a lipstick- the 3 only came to a fiver! Boots run a deal with their Natural Collection products where you can buy 3 of anything for only £5. Fantastic! I must admit though, for this price I wasn't expecting the best results. As I say I seldom use Natural Collection, so was quite apprehensive to see if it would 'deliver' in terms of results for me! I bought a very light shade called Fair as I do have quite light skin. I tried a couple of the lightest testers and this seemed to match up nicely. When I used it first the actual liquid make up is a little thin so it is maybe not the best for coverage, however it smoothes on to skin really nicely and does blend in really well with the surrounding skin. It feels really light and airy and managed to stay put for a good few hours. Another thing that I like about the Natural Collection products is that they don't really fragrance their products. I know how harmful to the skin adding scents can be and noticed that this concealer said 'Fragrance free' on it, so that got a thumbs up from me. In terms of covering up my under eye bags, I've had more coverage from previous concealers but it did help in keeping a good colour on my face and lightening the area slightly. For covering up spots it is good because it glides on to the skin smoothly and I found that it dispenses evenly and isn't blotchy (never a good look!) I recommend this concealer to anyone with a tight budget needed a make up fix. It may not provide the best coverage but scores well in the other departments!
Easy to blend cream concealer to cover spots, blemishes and under-eye shadows /
