      Good present idea

I don't even have to explain to you how these caught my eye! I bought them last year, i'm sure they were in river Island?? But they didn't remain mine for long! After about 5 minutes they were stolen my my little girl! Should of known really.... Cupcake shaped lip gloss.... Right up a little girls street! ( Well mine anyway, she thinks shes Maddonna!)

They were quite expensive, think they were just over a fiver? But really one lipgloss is about 2-3 pound so when you look at it that way not bad at all! if the budget stretches far enough i thnk they would make amazing wedding favours!

when you open up the cupcakes they have a very sweet smell.... again asking for trouble with little mouths around! But this is quite good if you are on a diet and fancy a sugar rush :-D! Other reviews on this product say that it does't stay on your lips long, but i thought the staying power was good! Probably lasted a good half an hour, then my lips were soft all afternoon.

I do have one negative point.... the volume of lip gloss in each cake is not very high!! But again its the price you pay for fantastic packaging!!

Overall I think these are quite cute! They would be brill for little angels..... or infact big angels will like them too! good stocking filler or little birthday present!

      cute lip gloss!

I have a real weakness for cupcakes, but as I'm trying to lose a few pounds after the indulgences of a summer spent in France, I am avoiding them! With this in mind a friend recently gave me a little cupcake pot of lip gloss. The tiny pot of naughty but nice lip gloss has the sort of packaging that can't help making you smile!

Naughty but nice lip gloss comes in a plastic cup cake pot. There are several different cakes to choose from including raspberry, chocolate and strawberry. Each pot contains a flavoured lip gloss that matches the cake. I was given a strawberry cream cake with strawberry lip gloss. The cake has pink coloured icing with a very realistic plastic strawberry on top. It really does look god enough to eat, although given its tiny size it wouldn't do much damage to your waistline! This lip gloss certainly scores full marks for its clever packaging!

The pot is opened via a hinged lid. The lid is really awkward to open and I have broken a nail doing so! Inside is a tiny amount of pink tinged lip gloss. There is a sweet ,slightly synthetic smell that isn't that pleasant in my opinion. As the pot is so tiny it is awkward to get to the lip gloss inside, especially if you have large fingers! The lip gloss feels quite greasy on my lips and although it is described as strawberry flavoured, I can't detect any particular flavour. I really don't like the taste of this lip gloss, finding it strangely sweet with a hint of plastic!

The lip gloss does stay put quite well, although has no colour despite that pink tinge in the pot. I don't like the sticky thick consistency as it makes my lips feel uncomfortable. Overall I love the original packaging of this lip gloss, but really don't like the gloss contained inside! If you fancy trying a pot for yourself it is widely available. Debenhams were selling this in single pots recently (didn't notice the price). You can also buy in assorted packs of 4 pots from sites such as play.com for £4.99.

        Great little gift

I got a set of these from my brother for christmas 2009 and they are lovely! I got a box of 4. Two were chocolate coloured, one a bit like an eclair and the other with a cherry and cream on the top. Then I got one with a white and pink creamy swirl on the top and one with pink cream/icing and a cherry.

They come packaged just like a box of chocolates or cakes and everyone was wondering what they were. You get a box of four different 'cakes' but mine were in two different flavours. One flavour was sweet and the chocolate.

I like them because when you are out and about and use them in front of strangers, they often look and I have actually had people asking what are they? These cute little glosses definately have a great novelty factor and make an unusual gift.

They are a reasonable quality of lipgloss, not the best but certainly not the worst! I would recommend using a lip brush with them if possible as I find lip glosses can be a bit sticky. Be warned though, they don't have a lot of colour to them, but they have a glossy finish. They are a little sticky but the trick is not to put too much on, build it up in thin layers.

Mine have lasted very well and are still going strong even after quite a bit of use. I like them so much that I purchased a pack as a gift for someone else and they loved them. I am often asked were I got mine from, which I always like in a product, as it shows it is unusual.

This would make a grea gift for teachers, babysitters, work collegues, friends and family. Ideal if your not sure what they have already got, as they probably haven't got these. At as little as £5 for a set of 4 in cute packaging you can't go wrong really.

        cupcake style lipgloss

Naughty but nice cup cake lip gloss.

This is a hugly fun lip gloss, I recently brought 3 varietys for my niece birthday (plain cup cake and 2 chocolate flavours). I popped them into a little gift bag, along with some other fun makeup this has made the perfect little prezzie. The lip glosses make your lips sparkle, and also taste good!

They come in the shape of cup cakes, which again adds to the funness of this little gift! why not add a little sparkle to someones life... weather young or old, add a little funness into someones life! they will love this gift, which is only inhanced by the fact that this little cup cake lip gloss is the fact that its dirt cheep! so go ahead, dig deep and make somes smile today!

lip gloss in a vareity of designs and flavours - at an extreamly low price.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Ideal as a small gift

Naughty But Nice lipglosses are cute novelty lipglosses available from such varied places as Play and Debenhams. I actually received a set for Christmas from my dad's cousin: I was really impressed with his choice of present as he's a middle-aged batchelor with no children! My lipglosses came in a pretty little plastic box designed to look like a girly basket. On the bottom of the box there is a list of ingredients, which is slightly different for each lipgloss so I won't list them all here. The glosses have a shelf life of 24 months and each one is 1.6g. The product is made by Natural Products Ltd, and there is a website: www.npw.co.uk. A pack of 4 glosses costs around £5.

My pack contained 4 little glosses, each in the shape of a cupcake: raspberry cream tart, strawberry cream tart, cream tart and chocolate cream puff. The first and the last are brown and smell vaguely of chocolate, the middle two smell slightly of vanilla. You get a really small amount of gloss - you are definitely paying for the packaging here.

So far, I have used up the chocolate cream puff and have moved on to the cream puff. The gloss itself isn't that bad. It is fairly easy to get out of the pot, and quite sticky, but the stickyness is what helps keep it on your lips, so it lasts quite a while. It actually feels fairly moisturising, though not to the extent of Vaseline or 'proper' lip balm like Carmex or Lush.

I keep these little pots in my room as I prefer to use them in the flat, saving my proper lip balm for use outside when my lips are at risk of being chapped. I don't think these are a substitute for 'real' lip balm, but they're great for a novelty gift. I think they are especially good for teenagers or children: they are suitable for ages 3 and up. I think little girls would love these, perhaps in a Christmas stocking!

I've washed out the case of the lip balm I've used up. I'm sure I can find a use for it - it would be such a shame to throw it away. It would make an ideal storage pot for, erm, one earring, a tablet, or an emergency Smartie...

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

recommend for girls up to the age of 14

These cupcake lip glosses are absolutely adorable, but its whats inside which really counts. The size of the cakes really does not resemble the amount inside. They aren't particularly good quality either as they dont tend to stay on your lips for long, i believe your much better off with Vaseline or a chap stick, but obviously the novelty factor does not have to same effect than if you bought the 'naughty but nice lip gloss set'. There is a certain age limit to these though, i'd only recommend buying these for girls up to the age of around 14, when novelty is all they are after. However any older and i doubt they would appreciate these. They are perfect for stocking fillers, small birthday presents and for showing off to your friends but at the end of the day your only really paying for the cake packaging rather than the substance.

          Nice gift.

This is possibly the best Secret Santa present I've ever received! Was given a pack of 4 different 'cupcakes' but my favourite has to be the chocolate one with the sprinkles on top. It's a clear gloss with a little bit of sparkle in it to make your lips really shiny. I also really liked the smell although it doesn't linger for very long. The only problem I had with these is that I found them quite difficult to get the product out of, I had to dip my baby finger in to get a good amount out. Maybe my fingertips are just too fat? :(
The gloss stays put for a reasonable amount of time as long as you don't eat or drink otherwise I've found it does come off quite easily which is disappointing.
Overall I really like these cupcakes and they look lovely in my make-up bag which has led to lots of random ladies in bathrooms asking me where I got them!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Good for a little present, don't expect a great product

Me and my friends did secret santa last christmas and I recieved the little box of 4 lip glosses, I aren't sure if you can buy them in a set bigger than 4 but I know you can get them individually, I think they are a nice little gift idea.

The container: The look of the container is the best bit about this product and they are a good novelty gift! However, it's near impossible to open it just with your fingers you need to get your nail under to pop it up, as the container is hinged you don't risk the lid flying off though so I suppose it's a good idea and I know i can just chuck it in my bag without being worried about everything getting glossy. They certainly do look good enough to eat! I got 2 plain cupcakes with a strawberry on top and some pink swirly stuff on the other and 2 chocolate cupcakes one with multi- coloured sprinkles and the other one with cream and a rasberry, which I thought was a good combination. I will say that even from the outside they are very small! They definately look bigger on the pictures and if I had personally bought this off the internet I would of been dissappointed. They do look very nice though!

Price: I aren't sure where mine were from but I've seen the set of 4 on play.com for £4.99 which is quite good as you don't have to pay P&P from them either so a great little stocking filler. They also have them on amazon but with P&P the price goes up and they aren't really worth it, £4.99 is about right if not a little over- priced. I have seen a few on counters in shops where it's about £1.99 for 1 which is expensive compared to the box of 4.

Lip Gloss: The only thing I can liken this lip gloss to is the type you find in a little girl's first make- up set. It is very sticky, on your lips and hands. so you have to wash your hands after putting it on, not good if you just want a quick gloss refresh, the good thing about this though is that it does stay on your lips for quite a long time. I didn't think they smelt of different cupcakes but they are meant to, they did smell quite sweet but very synthetic. The 4 lip glosses have different colours but this goes to clear when spread on your lips so you can hardly tell there is any colour and this is a little disappointing.

Overall: I would definately recommend this for a little gift, the product does seem like it is intended for younger girls but the name "Naughty but Nice" doesn't really show that they are. The lip gloss isn't very high quality but it's a nice little novelty and they have definately concentrated more on the outside than the inside. They are nice to look at though and people often tell me how cute they think they look, only worth the money if you pay less than a fiver!

          Disadvantages

Love them, but they're only novelty items

The first thing i noticed about these lipglosses was how utterly adorable they are! And.. How absolutely tiny they are. The cupcake theme must be there to distract how little product there actually is inside the gorgeous little tub. They weigh 4g each and measure at around a shockingly tiny 3cm in diameter!

There are 4 scents; Cream tart, Strawberry cream, Raspberry cream and Chocolate tart. The packs available have one of each scent in, which each has a different 'cupcake' topping to identify them. I love how they are so miniature that they fit into your pockets, never mind your bag, but i would like more product for the money!

To be honest, i haven't seen them anywhere in stores but if anywhere it'd probably be Superdrug or Boots. I bought mine from Play.com, a pack of four lip glosses for a fiver! It'd be worth the money if they were larger packs, but i think we are probably paying for the decoration.

They are lovely for a novelty item, but not for people with an addiction to using lip glosses every day!

          An expensive lip balm!

I brought this as a present for my daughter as her friend has a couple and she really liked the look of them. She is 13.
They came in a set of 4 which I got from Play.com for £6 which I thought was Ok because a standard lipgloss is about £3.
When they arrived I was surprised at how small they were - a little larger than a 10p piece. They are very cute though, each one made to look like a tiny little cup cake. Each lip gloss was wrapped seperatly so could be given as presents individually, but as they came so nicely gift boxed I decided not to split them.
Howver, they are not particularly gloosy or very long lasting. My daughter carries them in her pocket when she goes out and uses them as a lip balm rather than a gloss. She has to reapply them regularly as they sink into her lips very quickly. At most, the only benefit is that they keep her lips hydrated and protected for short periods of time. An expensive lip balm! They might look pretty, but in reality they are pretty useless at the job they were designed for!

These Are The Cutest Lip Glosses I've Ever Seen!!!

I've read a couple of reviews on here about this Naughty But Nice lipgloss so when I noticed a pack of 4 on play.com for £4.99 I decided to use part of a voucher for them because they look so cute.

When they arrived I was surprised at how small they are, they look nice in a clear plastic box and I reckon they'd make a nice present especially for a young girl. They are all shaped like different cupcakes, I don't know if each box is the same but mine had one that looked like a chocolate cupcake with a cherry on top, one had pink icing and sprinkles, one had light purple icing and what looks like a purple coffee bean and the other had like a swirly pink top. Cute is the only word for them! lol

The lip gloss inside them isn't very good and has got a very cheap feel to it, it deffo goes best over lipstick because then it uses the colour to help make your lips glossy. If you use it on bare lips the gloss will be there when you first apply it but it disappears quickly.

This is a novelty item that doesn't work.... but I don't care because they look so good. I've lined them up on my make up shelf and use them now and again but I'm never impressed with them, it's just mega cheap lipgloss in a wicked looking pot! The lipgloss has got quite a nice texture, like I said it's got a cheap feel to it but isn't majorly greasy or heavy like I thought it would be.

I gave my sister 2 of them and she loves them, she thinks she's the business with her little pot of lipgloss that looks like a cupcake and hasn't noticed that by the time she leaves the house it's faded! lol

Recommended..... for looking so cute but NOT for the quality of the lipgloss!

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A great gift, but spend your moolah on less cute, more effective product.

How cute are these? Obviously, If you have a sweet tooth, these attract the eye. ideal for your bedroom cabinet, and perfect for showing off, these look like a great buy, and you wouldn't be wrong.

These flip open to reveal lip tints that come out in various shades, more on that later. Scent wise- expect an old school sweet shop, saccharine and enough of the scent of tate and lyle to send an ant into a coma.

            NOM.

As a word of warning, if your expecting the best of both worlds, cute packaging and a product that works, then this may not be the best bet.

These look fab, open easily and contain a fair amount of lipgloss, so they do last a fair am ount of time. Get them for christmas and your likely to still be applying long into April.

However the colours are a little insipid, in otherwords, they don't stain enough to last a very long time.
It's hard to review a taste, but if you've ever swallowed cheap lipgloss, it does have a strange plasticy tang.

These have the same. A bit like kiddy lipgloss, or a free lipstick in Shout magazine. A bit cheap, vinyl like, and not enough for a day of looking kissable, mores the pity.

They smell good to me, but then I need a product to have 99999.9999% sugar content to appeal.

            Smell wise- yummy.
            Looks- 10/10
            Longevity- 10/10
Taste- c'mon, we all swallow it somehow- just as eyes gobble up eyeliner- 7/10
            Stain and colour- 4/10

Looks and not much in the way of brains, these make a cute gift, but I wouldn't seek them out for myself.

            Naughty But Nice Lip Gloss

For the first time ever I had a job for Christmas just gone so that means I had to go through my first ever "Secret Santa" task. Now I don't really know anything about the girl I was given to buy for but I figured you cant go wrong with an item of make-up or bath salts or something lol. Now we were given a £5 limit because I assume people are broke so I thought it would be really hard to find a nice gift for a fiver or less. But that's when my mom found these and suggested that I bought these for my colleague and because they looked so pretty I bought myself a set to.

            Cost & Availability:
I paid exactly £5 for these from play.com so I thought that was a great price for these cute cupcakes. I think these can be purchased on other sites like amazon but they are a lot more expensive due to postage costs so play is your best bet.

            The Packaging:
First let me say OMG. These little cupcakes are sooo much smaller in real life than they appear to be on online images. Each cake is around the size of a 10p coin so they are proper tiny. I started worrying at this point that the girl I had bought them for would think I was a cheapskate but I set those worries aside because they are so pretty.

I personally got the set that contains 4 "cupcakes" but I think you can get sets with more in them. The four cakes were all in very different styles: a pale coloured one with a strawberry on the top, a chocolate cake with a raspberry on the top, another chocolate cake with a swirl of cream in the middle & another paler cake with red and white swirls on the top. These look good enough to eat and are really cute so I think a great stocking filler for a daughter or sister or any woman in your life that likes cute, girly gifts.

            The Lip Gloss:
Now Ive read that all these different glosses are meant to have a different smell e.g one will smell like chocolate and one will smell of toffee. But when I came to smell them I couldn't really detect any distinctive smell they just smelt quite synthetic and all of them smelt exactly the same.

Putting the lip gloss on was pretty easy (opening the "cake" was a lot harder though, they have gone for design over ease thats for sure.) I found I didnt need a lot to cover my whole lips and it felt quite moisturising and soft when I applied it. This gloss doesnt have any of that horrible greasy texture but it does give you lips a nice, clear shimmer.

I found this gloss which is actually more like a lip balm in my opinion lasted on my lips for around 4 hours which I thought was pretty good so no complaints there from me.

I was disappointed that they all smelt the same and all transferred onto your lips clear because I was hoping they would all give me a slightly different look, but sadly that didnt happen.

            Did She Like It?
Luckily she did. I was worried that because they were so tiny I would look like a cheapskate but their cute design and packaging made them a huge hit. The funny thing is whoever my secret Santa was bought me exactly the same thing so they are clearly a big hit with the female population. =]

            Overall Opinion:
The makers of these "glosses" have certainly concentrated on the design more than anything else. They are worth buying for the packaging alone but anyone who is expecting these glosses to heal dry lips or make your lips more plumped up are going to be disappointed because they will not do that. They are a nice little gift for someone for their birthday or Christmas but I wont be rushing out to re-stock up on mine when they run out because they aren't really that special.

            Thanks For Reading

Buy as small gifts but don't expect miracle gloss!

I adore all things in cute packaging and waste a lot of money on them! These caught my eye immediately and the first thought that came in to my head was what great little extras as birthday gifts! Cute little lip glosses in huge but cute packaging. I proceeded to save the rest but use one just to see what the actual product (the lip gloss!) not the packaging was like. Cheap is not the word!- but then I had to admit that this product is all about the packaging- I still keep mine in my bag just for the cute factor rather than because I actually use it as a product. They have put a smile on everyone's faces and although not practical are a fun item. I'd advise anyone looking to buy these to gift them and see the smiles! Nobody I've given them to has had anything bad to say about them and neither do I! Just don't expect a fabulous lip gloss though seriously! The balm itself can be drying and doesn't actually do much for the lips, it does have a slight chemical smell to it though which isn't very appealing. In addition, the balm is of a hard consistency and you do have to poke it a lot to get product out, so this isn't something which would last very long either.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

It's cute, and we like that, but the lipgloss leaves a lot to be desired.

I have a slight love of Cupcakes, there's no shame in admitting that. I'll buy almost anything if it's Cupcake shaped, or Cupcake patterned, it doesn't really take much. Which is most likely why, when Christmas 2008 came around my room was suddenly filled with all things cupcaked. One set of which, were these stupidly cute lipglosses by 'Naughty by Nice'

              :: The Product ::

Naughty but Nice's Lipglosses are a typical gimmicky product. The sets of four scented lipglosses come in their own little type of cupcake to suit the scented lipgloss inside.
The Scents? Cream tart, Strawberry cream, Raspberry cream and Chocolate tart.
Although it is pretty hard to tell them a part, you just get the typical synthetic smell from each pot. The only real difference between the 4 lipglosses at the colours. You get 2 different shades of Brown, a Peach colour and a light Pink, but these are very lowly pigmented and hardly add any colour to your lips.
The product itself is a very sticky substance and feels quite stiff on your lips. A tiny pro of this is that it wears on your lips for quite some time but a bigger con is it wears just as long on the finger you used to apply it, so make sure you have tissues or hand wipes handy when you apply.

:: The (seriously cute) Packaging ::

The only really redeeming quality of this product is the packaging. All together now - Awwh!
As I mentioned above each lipgloss comes in it's own type of cupcake. These are titchy little things, measuring little over 1in high and 1in across on the widest part. They'll look seriously cute on your dresser or (like me) all lined up in a pretty row on your desk at work.
The cupcake opens at the top of the bun case, using a little push up clip to open and it's held on by a - not very sturdy - bent plastic hinge. The top of the Cupcake, although completely scrummy looking, is completely cosmetic as all the lipgloss sits in the bun case.

              :: Over All ::

This is a cute idea, and after a year or so of being on the market it's still selling well, but I feel it could be so much better with a bit more time, effort, and money put into it. The lipgloss is pretty poor - the type you'd expect in a kids makeup set - and the packaging on one of the cupcakes broke as soon as I touched it. Also, although I think the cases are hand painted half of the Strawberry on my Strawberry Cream cupcake is left unpainted. I know you must be thinking 'It's just a gimmick product, and pretty cheap at that' but I've seen places selling these sets for £8 and I think it's money down the drain.
I only still have these 4 (I managed to superglue the broken one back together!) because my Boyfriend bought them for me, if I'd paid for them myself I would have binned them a long time ago.
I'd only really recommend these for little girls who are starting to get fascinated by their Mums makeup, they'll love the cupcake packaging and won't feel let down by the poor quality of lipgloss inside.

You can buy the set of 4 for £4.99 at Play.com which is the cheapest I've found online.
