***NORWEGIAN FORMULA HAND CREAM***

Being heavily advertised at the moment. Norwegian formula is a hand cream from the Neutrogena range.

The hand cream is housed in a very small plastic container with a blue unscrew lid to the base. The container is predominantly white and it displays the Norwegian flag upon it. This formula hand cream is concentrated, meaning only a little is needed on application. There is a small oval sticker on mine, and it states " Grab your FREE activity". Upon looking closer it gives the website address (www.neutrogena.co.uk) for further details. Written upon the container is the claim "Instantly relieves dry or chapped hands. Just a dab needed".

I actually went into Boots to purchase my normal hand cream, which I have always used. I have tried many hand creams in the past, and the only one that I found in any way effective for my very dry hands, was Atrixo. My hands hate water, and detergents of any kind. They become very sore and cracked when I wash up, or touch any form of chemical enhanced product. I was informed by the sales assistant at Boots that they would no longer be stocking the Atrixo. Ridiculous! Anyway I had to choose another brand, as I had completely run out of my Atrixo.

So I decided on the Norwegian formula, as it had been well profiled recently. It states that it has been dermatologist tested, so it is all sounding good so far. The shelf life is 36 months, and the weight is 50ml. I like the size of the hand cream, it is a nice little dinky container so it would be just right for the handbag or pocket. It claims "Immediate and lasting relief for even the most dry hands" So I am hoping that this is going to work well, and make my hands feel a lot better, as they are very sore at the moment.

The hole in the squirter of the hand cream is tiny. Obviously ensuring you don't squirt too much out, as this is concentrated, and you shouldn't need too much. But my hands are sore and I squeeze hard to dispense an adequate amount. The hand cream comes out in very thin worm like streams, and it really doesn't look like the amount dispensed will be enough to cover my hands, so I squeeze more out. I now have about a 2pence size in my palm, and I rub this well into my hands. It is actually very hard going as this stuff is thick, and hard to blend in. It's sticky too. I am not liking the feel of this upon my skin. It Is now completely rubbed in, and my hands, and in between my fingers feel very tacky, and sticky. As I clench my hands they are literally sticking together. I don't like this stuff at all I must say.

Norwegian formula is clear and kinda looks like Vaseline. It is very thick, tacky, and sticky. Concentrated doesn't need to be like this, and I don't think this hand cream will be a success of any kind. The formula is awful! It smells a little like a shampoo. I can smell lanoline and glycerine, and possibly lemons. But the main thing is I will not be recommending it to you, and I don't actually think this tiny container would last very long anyway, as I did need to squeeze quite a lot out to actually cover my hands, and at £1.99 I also felt it was a little on the dear side of life too. It claims "Concentrated for over 200 applications! Nonsense!, and absolutely no way. It doesn't blend into the hands well enough if you just use a small dab as recommended, so you need to use more than they state.-

On the plus side if there is one, it did vaguely leave my hands a little moisturised, and relieved, so if you can put up with the stickiness, it will relieve the dryness up to a point.

I hate slating a product but I really feel I totally wasted my money on this one. Hand creams are supposed to leave your hands soft and silky. Not uncomfortable like the Norwegian formula did. Oh and another thing I couldn't move my laptop mousepad when I had applied this. My fingers just stuck on the pad, and I couldn't navigate it at all. I had to go and wash my hands so I could actually use my computer. So you see my reasons are all quite valid. - Sorry Neutrogena...Not this time!

Thank you for reading.
