I bought Neutrogena hand cream when we were going skiing, as I knew it would be cold and our skin was likely to get very very dry.

This is an extremely thick cream and so you only need a very small amount. It spreads well over the skin because it has a slightly greasy consistency - this however is very quickly and easily absorbed into the skin. It prevents skin becoming dry in the elements. Their is a light subtle fragrance which does not last long.

My husband has very sensitive skin and this brought him out in a rash almost instantly. On that note, although my skin is not sensitive at all, I found that once my skin was very dry, chapped and cracked (when I did not use this cream), applying the cream made my skin very red and sore. So I guess the trick is not to let your skin become too poorly before you apply the cream.

It costs about £3 for 50ml. This is very reasonable as you need such a small amount for each application and it really works well.
