Advantages: Quickly absorbed, small handy tube, good price

Disadvantages: Quite a strong scent, possibly a bit greasy (depends on how much you use I think)

I'm a bit fussy about cleanliness, it must be said. I have a big fear of getting sick and so I wash my hands thoroughly before I eat, which leads to them getting pretty dry. Now, there was a time not so long ago I committed the ultimate sin and use to wash my hands with fairy liquid (and not the fancy new hand conditioning one either!) which left me with horribley dry, red hands. Everyone (including the bus driver!) would say "Oh dear, your hands look so red raw and cold", and I just used to smile and shake my head sadly... "Oh I know, it's terrible isn't it? so so terrible...". I decided to do something about my silly hands and so I popped into my local boots and bought a tube of Neutrogena hand cream, it worked almost instantly!.

The cream sinks into the skin very quickly, although it does leave a little bit of greasy residue. It's not ridiculously greasy though and you won't find yourself worrying about getting it all over everything you touch. The relieving effects are immediate, you can literally feel your skin drinking up all the moisture - my hands were actually crying with happiness I swear.

Since I begun to use Neutrogenas hand cream I haven't suffered from any red / dry patches on my hands and people have stopped making comments about them too. I've also invested in a moisturising hand wash so I can revel in my borderline obsessive hand washing rituals without the worry of dry chapped skin.

This cream would be great for everyone who suffers from dry skin on their hands (whether it be self inflicted like in my case or not), and the tube is so dinky you can just pop it in your handbag and whip it out when you feel like a bit of moisturising is in need. Definitely one of the best hand creams on the market!.

Summary: A handy relief
