Advantages: Does exactly as promised, soft and smooth hands!

Disadvantages: None

I have never had chapped hands but I do suffer from sensitive, dry skin from time to time and when my usual body lotion isn't enough (which rarely happens) this is what I turn to. I use it on the driest skin (hands, elbows and knees) and I find it to be uncontested in effectiveness.

*PACKAGING*

The cream comes in a plastic tube with a screw on lid (blue for scented, red for unscented). The lid is easy to screw on and off even with slippery hands, though the cream won't make your skin feel slippery. The hole through which the cream is squeezed is very small, which is very handy-when you first use it you won't realise just how little you need and this stops over application.

*PRODUCT*

Neutrogena concentrated hand cream isn't so much a cream as it is a gel. It is very thick, and reminds me of shaving gel without the foaming. It claims "instant relief of dry, chapped hands" and "just a dab needed".

*USE AND RESULTS*

Using only a small squeeze, about the size of a lentil, is sufficient for both hands. The vest way to use this is to rub between the fingers and palms then apply to the backs of the hands and between the fingers like you would use liquid soap. The cream spreads quickly and evenly over all the skin and smooths on and sinks in fast, without leaving residue behind. It's a little bit like when you use a tiny dab of really cold Vaseline on your lips, there is instant softness without greasiness.

The back of the tube claims there is enough for over 200 applications. I use this occasionally and have the same tube for a couple of years so I'd say that is underestimation if anything.

The soft and smoothness of the hands lasts for a long time, it feels for hours as though there is a barrier on the skin, albeit an invisible and touch proof one!

Costing about £3.50, it's not the cheapest but it really does give many times more applications than other hand creams so value wise it is unbeatable.
