Advantages: Sank in quickly, kept my hands soft overnight

Disadvantages: Can be a little expensive compared to other creams

I recently took a good look at my hands and gave a screech. How did they suddenly start looking so old? I'm not old! I'm 21 and a few months (anything up to 1,000 counts as 'a few', for the record). So why did my hands look in such dire need of TLC?

Anyway, off I dutifully popped to Boots The Chemist. Bought shower gel, shampoo, the usual and totally forgot about hand cream, until I got to the till, where a trial tube of Neutrogena caught my eye at a bargain price of 99p. I picked one up and once I got home, sat down and investigated more.

The tube is a very distinctive white with red and blue bits, although this design in itself makes it look a little cheap. What did I expect for 99p?

Not awash with confidence, I opened the tube and put a dollop of the cream on my hand. I say cream, but it's actually clear and quite gloopy. No drips to worry about then. Upon rubbing it over my hands, this seemed to sink into the skin very quickly and a tiny dollop (about one centimetre long) covered the skin on both hands easily. It rubbed in very smoothly and I could easily tell which bits I'd missed.

It didn't stay on the skin feeling slimy like some creams can and there were no slippery-slidey issues when picking up a cup of tea ten minutes later.

Upon waking the next morning, my hands still felt moisturised and I didn't need to put any more cream on all day. Although, if another application is required, the test/travel size is small enough to fit into the tiniest handbag.

Cost-wise, this 99p tube was fantastic as it lasts for ages as you don't need much to get the required effect. The normal size is a little more expensive I believe but to be honest, I'd pay it in a flash. This is one of the best hand creams I have ever tried and I'll go on using it until I'm 21 and a lot more months!

Summary: Well worth the extra pennies

Everyone that uses this thinks really highly of it. Me, I've never used it.
