Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free Make Up
by chekcherry
This is seemed like a very good oil free make up foundation initially when I bought it. It says that the active ingredients include salisylic acid which helps combat blemishes and break prone skin. But if your skin is a combination one or dry, this foundation is useless for you.
I had to discontinue the use of this make up ... after the initial couple of times because my skin looked all caked up even though I had used a very small amount and smeared it even over the entire facial area. I used the ivory shade that was closest to my skin tone, yet I could see that the coverage was not good and the makeup did not look natural. My face looked like it was done up.
The bottle is quite big and it can last ages with the little amount that you will perhaps use each time. This is a glass bottle which is yet another disadvantage of this liquid foundation.
I would spend the same amount on a less quantity but a good foundation. Read the complete review |

Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free Make Up
by groovy666
I began using this makeup a while back when they sold it in Boots for around £8.00 however it has now been discontinued there, so the only places I can seem to find it is Superdrug and on the internet. Although Superdrug had it a discounted prices and are getting rid of it soon, and I cannot understand why, as its a really good ... foundation, for oily, spotty skin.
The foundation is oil free and doesnt contain any fragrance which can normally irritate skin. What makes this foundation good is the fact that it has salycic acid in it which helps combat spots, so even when wearing this foundation it is helping to combat spots, and reduce redness. The foundation comes in a clear glass botle, and lasts ages as you dont need very much. It is quite runny, but does give good coverage and can be applied in thicker applications over spots and used like a concealer with a cotton bud. Overall a good foundation at combattiing spots and has improved my skin immensely. Read the complete review |

Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free Make Up
by claireislafrazer
Neutrogenas skin clearing foundation is a perfect product for someone like me who has always suffered from spots and has oily skin. Ive always felt I had to wear foundation and try and cover them up somewhat but they only end up making my skin worse by clogging my pores and making my skin greasier than ever.
Neutrogena's ... foundation is different though, it contains salicylic acid to help clear spots and prevent new outbreaks, so therorecially the more you wear it the better your skin will look. The oil free formula also absorbed excess oil too I presume this is because it contains talc.
It comes in a 30ml rectangular glass bottle, so no squeezing or cutting in half to get the last bits out. It is very watery to touch and needs a good shake before use to mix the contents properly.
Although it says it is fragrence free I can detect a slight creamy/milky smell which it very plesant. On the bottle it says the salicylic acid can cause redness on sensitive skins and to stop use if this occurs, I have not had this myself and use it under my eyes and on the eyelids with no problem.
Ive found an excellent colour match in "classic porcelain", and I only need a small amount to get a good coverage and to even out skin tone and red areas. I need to use concealer on bigger spots as using a second layer doesnt seem to cover them any more. I dont use any powder on top though as my skin is matt enough without it.
My skin stays shine free for hours using this although I take a pressed powder compact round with me I never need to use it other than on my nose. When I want to remove it I either use clear and clears sensitive deep cleansing lotion or cream wash which both removes it easily. I always feel like my skin looks better after taking it off compared to when I put it on, and ive never get any new spots while wearing it. So I guess I can say, it works! and at time of writing there is a bottle on ebay for 1 pound, bargain! Read the complete review |
