Strange consistency compared to your average foundation, but does the colour make up for this? (Nicola Roberts Dainty Doll Foundation)

Advantages: True to the lighter shades, thick coverage

Disadvantages: Doesn't travel or apply well, small amount for the higher price, is a flat colour rather than bright

I REALLY wanted to love this foundation but sadly it's not for me. I'm surprised people can use this as a full face foundation as it takes a while to get used to.

I'm used to liquid foundations that sink into the skin and can be spread easily. This comes in a little pot and is quite hard on first receipt. It's VERY thick, almost like a paste. I found it helped if you warmed it up a little. Once you smooth some on your skin it doesn't travel far and sits on top rather than sinking in. Nicola always looks so dewy but this just serves to even out your skin tone, it doesn't have any light reflecting properties.

It also comes in a very small post for £12, with no applicator sadly. This is great for people who are looking for the lighter shade but must be wary that it just leaves skin as a base rather than brightening. I sadly don't use it, but would be inclined to try more Dainty Doll products if they came at a lower price.

Summary: Great if you've been searching for these colours but no other benefits sadly
