Advantages: Great price, great consistency, nice shine, brilliant smell

Disadvantages: Can't think of any...I guess if you use it a lot you'll run out of it quickly.

When it comes to keeping my lips 'kissable' I normally opt for a wee tin of Vaseline as it keeps your lips hydrated and soft, gives them a little shine and is fairly cheap. However, whilst it does the job it does make you feel like your putting something on that's come from your medicine cabinet, especially as it has no lovely, alluring scent.
I was looking for something special to put on my lips - something pleasing for particular company...

*~The Smell Test~*

I'm reviewing the peach coloured 'Pure Natural' type of this brand (rather than the pink tinted one in the picture). They claim that this is fragranced with red fruits. I wasn't entirely sure what the smell was but it was certainly fruity. Just very nice really and my boyfriend seemed to like the smell a lot. Not that it lasted long after he smelt it...

*~Longevity~*

I wore this to work today and since I wasn't winching anyone at work, eating or drinking it seemed to last for a fairly long time - maybe an hour or even longer. This is definitely satisfying but don't expect it to last long if you are doing stuff that involves your lips brushing against something else.

*~Effectiveness~*

As I usually use Vaseline to save me money, I use this for special days and special occasions. I have worn it for a number of days in a row during the winter when I felt like being good to myself. At that time of the year, as many of us know, our lips can get all dried out and scabby and it seemed to do the job well in stopping this from occurring, keeping my lips nice and soft. This is probably due to the macadamia nut oil, natural wax and vitamin E as listed on the packet.

*~How does it feel?~*

The annoying thing about a lot of lip glosses is the consistency of it once you lay it on your lips. Quite often it feels like a gloopy mess that feels terribly sticky or slimy when you move your lips together or do get kissed on the lips. Without getting a more expensive, upmarket gloss I have finally found the solution. This feels nice and smooth on your lips

*~How does it look?~*

It looks rather lovely I guess - shiny but not too shiny. Your lips are a little bit tinted and glossy which I loved.

*~Packaging~*

It comes in a little 10ml toothpaste-style tube that is just perfect to stick in your handbag (or man-bag for the adventurous male). It's fairly easy to use. You just screw off the cap and there's a little hole to distribute the stuff on to your lips.

*~Price~*

This product gets even better because it can be purchased for a relatively cheap price. I got it for £3.03 at Superdrug which I thought was excellent when you compare it to other lip glosses and consider the fact that it works so well.

*~Overall~*

This is better than lip balms because it lasts rather long and better than a lot of lip glosses because of the scent and the consistency. I just love this stuff and definitely intend to buy more. It also comes available as a red raspberry one and a pink one too which I are tinted versions. I definitely want to try either of these. I definitely recommend that you try out this product. You can just pop it in your bag with some Smints and you never know... at least you'll always be ready for any potential pull. (Yes, I have a one track mind, don't I? ^_^)

*~Thanks for reading :) x~*

*~Also available on Ciao under 'Renza' - April 2009~*

Summary: A great alternative to pricey lip glosses.
