Advantages: Great when first applied
Disadvantages: I become a gargoyle with glossy fingers
I usually like Nivea products- they are a long established company with a well earned reputation- but this time I am not so sure.
Now let me say straight off, that I confess the reason I am not keen on Nivea Caregloss is, I suspect, because of my age. I often see young girls reapplying lip gloss - it seems to have become as habitual as flicking their hair. Us older ones are not into that- at least this older one isn't.
I want to be able to apply lipgloss when I am front of a mirror with washing facilities to hand if I have to use my fingers to apply- but better still have a lip brush to do the job properly. But the reason it keeps getting reapplied is that it does not last.
It does what it says on the packaging it shines and it softens - but the need to reapply in public means I end up with glossy fingertips and worse still, having had to contort my mouth to ensure that my lips are the only part of my face it ends up on.
I bought a pack of three for just under £6 and so I will persist in using them- but only applying before I leave the house. I will have a.n.other to do a refresh with.
The feel is good, the colour is good, the gloss is good, but in this case, for me at least, three rights make a wrong.
Summary: Not for me- but it could meet your needs

- 04/10/09 I watched a woman today reapply lip gloss whilst taking her change in the queue in a coffee shop.
The man serving her looked as astounded as I did. X |
