Advantages: Makes lips soft, contains an SPF

Disadvantages: Does come off on cups etc

i have always used a lipbalm to prepare my lips for lipstick as they can get very dry and in turn the lipstick will not sit evenly or clump in the "lines" in my lips and just look ugly.

This one in particular i first picked up in sainsburys for 1.99 a few summers ago, i was looking for a lipbalm that contained an spf as lips are a particularly sensitive part of the the face and often overlooked with sun protection even though they are more suseptible to sun damage than other areas because of the decilate nature of the skin there. I have used a moisturiser with spf on them when at home in the garden but this isnt really possible when out for the day.

This was the only lipbalm that i could find in the shop at the time which contained an spf and even though it only had a spf of 6 i thought this was better than nothing.

The lipbalm is the same size as a lipstick and you use it just like a one twisting up as much as you need, you will not need much though and the stick should last you many months. It is very smooth to apply, fragrance free and tasteless and doesnt leave any greasy residue on your lips which i think is important as a lot of lipbalms when you apply too much you can make those tiny pimples around the outside of your lips that are so painful! But, not with this product!

It contains panthenol and vitamin E to repair damaged and sore lips and my lips become smooth and soft instantly after applying. It stays on well although when you drink it will come off on the glass leaving a mark like a lipstick would, so you need to re-apply aftwards or apply it after you drink or eat something.

overall the lipbalm smooths and moisurises my lips very well and i feel better about being out in the sun with it on with its sun protection factor.

Summary: Very good choice for a lipbalm
