Advantages: Quite long lasting, with a great strong colour

Disadvantages: The brush could be a little thinner, this would make it a bit easier for me to apply

I bought my nail polish when Boots were running their £5 off No7 products promotion. Basically when you spend 5 pound on anything in the store you are given this voucher. This enables you to get £5 off any No7 product and also Ruby & Millie products. I always try and take advantage off these vouchers when they come up as they are good value for money.

So I would definitely recommend keeping an eye out for this promotion when it is next available.

The nail polish that I purchased is called No 68 Vivid Violet and is priced at £6.25 so when I used my voucher I only paid £1.25 which is great!

The bottle is a 10ml which is pretty much an average size for nail polish and is in an attractive bottle with a black top with the gold No7 logo. The brush is quite long and is pretty easy to use. With the colour sweeping across the nail very easily. When I apply this colour I only have a small amount of the polish on the brush as with it being a dark colour I didn't want it going all over my finger. I do tend to be a little heavy handed.

For the best results I do recommend at least two coats, but to be honest with me only applying a thin layer I apply three. It looks a little more effective and not as streaky. The product description states that it lasts up to five days. I would have to say it lasts about two or three days without chipping but I do a lot of typing at work and I do the washing up without rubber gloves. Meaning the nail colour may last longer if you take a bit more care.

On the whole the colour I chose is very bright and vibrant so I only use in the evening or if i'm feeling brave during the day. So this product will last me quite a while and the colour seems to last a little longer without chipping. The usual bright nail colours that are on the market don't tend to last even a day before you need to reapply.

There are 7 other shades to choose from and I was torn between the colour I bought and also the Sparkle shade.

Summary: A great nail polish which looks great on your nails also plenty of other shades to choose from.
