Advantages: cheap?

Disadvantages: you can't see it -gives no coverage

When I bought this product, I had already tried Avon's mineral foundation with mixed results. I found that it looked good on days when my skin was exfoliated and soft, but on days when there were still dry patches, the powder clung onto the dry bits looking awful. Given that it was so hit and miss, I'm not sure why I then went out and bought yet another mineral foundation.

~About the product~

This is foundation in the form of a loose powder. It is made from pure minerals, is talc-free, irritant-free, oil-free and fragrance-free and promises to give a flawless complexion without clogging pores. It also contains SPF12 so will protect the skin from the sun.

It comes in four shades, which are ...
- Natural Fair
- Natural Light
- Natural Medium
- Natural Deep

Being very pale, I went for Natural Fair.

~Packaging~

The foundation I have is not the one pictured above, I did send Dooyoo a link to a picture of the item, so I don't know what that is up there!
The powder itself comes in a round tub, and this comes in a box with a small kabuki brush. The brush is probably the most pointless thing you have ever seen -it's tiny, and there is no way I would use it to apply the foundation, as I would guess it would end up looking a streaky mess.

The little tub has a screw top, and when removed, you will see that there is a sort of plug with little prongs on, which holds the powder in. You must remove this before each use and shake a bit of powder out onto the tray before swirling the brush in the powder.

~Application~

So, in the absence of a proper kabuki brush, I decided to use the largest blusher brush I could find. You simply swirl the brush in the powder, and tap off the excess, before applying all over the face 'in smooth motions'. I have no idea what constitutes a smooth motion, so I went for the circular sweeping kinda motions they always apply bare escentuals mineral foundations with on QVC!

~Results~

So I'm applying the stuff with my circular sweeping motion, and I'm thinking 'Has anything gone on yet?' I looked at the brush - there didn't appear to be any powder on it. I dip it in the powder again, and do my sweepy motion thing again - it still doesn't look like anything is going on my skin, although it obviously is, as there's now nothing on the brush.

Basically the powder just seemed to be disappearing as soon as it hit my skin. I know the idea is that you are not supposed to be able to tell that you're wearing it, however it didn't look like it was there, because it wasn't actually covering any imperfections in my skin tone, and it certainly wasn't adding any colour or anything like that.

The only place I could actually tell it was on my skin, was a dry patch that I get between my brows. The powder seemed to have clung to the dry skin and was making it look orange, which as you can imagine was quite attractive. Other than that I could not tell this stuff was on my skin at all, as it gave no coverage whatsoever.

~Price~

I bought this from Superdrug, where I believe it cost £3.99

~Conclusion~

As you can probably tell I am not very impressed with this powder. You just couldn't tell I had even put it on - it provided no coverage whatsoever, but clung to dry skin, making it look horrible. I would not buy this again, nor would I recommend it to others.
