Advantages: very waterproof, Gives good volume to lashes

Having been a keen swimmer for over 15 years, I have tried every waterproof mascara imaginable! This mascara is the very best, and I have been using it for years now!

~-~Packaging~-~

It comes in a chunky black tube with classy silver writing on, and the Oil of Olay (formerly Ulay!) symbol also in silver on the lid. The mascara contains 9mls of fluid, which is quite large compared to many other mascaras presently on the market, however this also means that it is not exactly slimline, and is less likely to fit in a dainty purse! But the plus side is that your tube will last you for quite a long time. And it has a screw-top which is easy to open, and seals well.

~-~Application~-~

The wand has reasonably long bristles which a well spaced, therefore making it easy to apply, and meaning it gives good definition and volume to your lashes. The fluid is reasonably smooth and glides on easily, but be careful not to apply too many coats or it can become clumpy.

~-~The Result~-~

This mascara stays on without smudging after hours in the pool or the sea. It gives length and volume to your lashes, although I would recommend the old dip-wipe-apply method to prevent clogginess (dip in tube-wipe wand with tissue-and apply, as many times as needed for desired result!). It also comes off easily with a decent waterproof makeup remover.

~-~The Choice~-~

It also comes in the usual choice of colours (i.e. black, brown, brown/black etc.). And I would definitely recommend this to anyone going on holiday who doesn't want to come out of the water with dark circles under their eyes! (although if these are alcohol rather than makeup induced, it can't help you there!!) It is not as nice-smelling as other products (although the smell is not bad, by any means), it is made by Oil of Olay, so it is also good for those of us with more sensitive skin.
