I have used these lipsticks regularly for about a year and found them to be quite good at staying put, but still found that they lasted only a few hours. They were however at the time the best lipsticks around. There are lots of lovely colours and they are very soft on your lips and stop them from cracking. The packaging is nice and simple, although the colour sticker on the bottom fades, so it becomes difficult to tell the colours apart in a makeup bag. I have now discovered Lipfinity from Max Factor which has 10 times the staying power and is only £1 more, so unless Oil of Olay can improve on their formula, I'm afraid I've now had better.
I only bought this lipstick because it was on a special trial price offer, a whole pound off!!! Bargain, I can buy three Mars Bars with that. For £6.99 (£1 off!!!!) I was expecting this lipstick to last all week. It did last ages though, the longest lasting lipstick that I have ever tried. I did the ultimate test - the Burger King test - and it even stayed on through a double whopper, amazement!!! "I don't believe it" I hear you say (a bit like Victor Meldrew) but a whole double whopper! OK, serious now. This lipstick did last all night. I wasted my time taking it out with me "just in case". It isn't the easiest thing to fit in your wallet either because it's quite long. I ended up puting it down my boot where it melted nicely and went all gooey. An hour in the fridge sorted that though. Make sure you have some super strength make up remover or some while spirit because it's tough to get off, especially the dark colour I bought. At £6.99 it's a tad expensive but well worth it. Smooth too and feels silky soft. Buy it while it's still cheap. Does anyone know where I can get it cheaper cos I'm skint?
I recently treated myself to an Olay Colour Moist lipstick in Brazil - a lovely deep rich burgundy/plum colour. Definitely a good buy, too... The lipstick comes in a real smart black case with a silver band around the cap and the Olay logo on one side embossed in silver. The twist-up lipstick goes on fairly matte with just a hint of shine. It covers well, feels good and looks even better. The colour stays on very well indeed. In fact it looked good all day. the only time I had to tidy it up slightly was after a meal, but it only needed touching-up slightly to make it look as good as when I first applied it.
